"This hotel far exceeded my expectations! I once stayed at a highly-rated hotel in Cologne that cost twice as much, and while it had a more artistic decor, the amenities were actually quite similar. The room here was larger than I expected, with a coat rack, a desk, two round stools, and an adjustable TV mount. There's enough space for one suitcase, though two might be a bit of a squeeze. Getting around by train and bus is very convenient, and it's less than a twenty-minute walk to the Old Town. The design is well-thought-out and clever, and the cleanliness is exceptional. The bathroom is quite small, but manageable unless you're very large; the shower door opens completely, which helps. Most of the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. However, like many German hotels, there's nothing in the room, so having to ask for hot water repeatedly can be a bit tiresome for introverts. Still, the staff were always very accommodating. My only suggestion would be for extra pillows; there were only two on the bed, and I was told there were no spares when I asked for an extra. It would be great if they had some reserves for guests."
