Cheap Hotels in Batu Ampar

"The location of the hotel was great, just a short 5 mins walk from the Habourbay Terminal. However, was rather disappointed by the service and facilities. (1) Room had a weird stale, musty smell when we first checked in to our room, but the smell eventually went away after 2-3h with aircon circulation. It was bearable but we could really use an air freshener. (2) We were not informed that the gym/pool had opening or closing times. There were also no signs indicating as such. When we tried to visit the gym at around 10pm, everything was already closed. (3) On the amenities, we had to make repeated checks receptionist that we can get a shaving razor and instant coffee. At first, the housekeeping didn't understand what we wanted. The first receptionist at the front desk simply just tried to waive us away by saying they are not available. It was only after we approached a second receptionist did they finally understood and brought it out for us. The shower gel also ran out after the first night and housekeeping did not refill it despite cleaning the room in the day. (4) The hotel spa, despite saying they were open for 24h and that a reservation was required, repeatedly told us to go to their counter at the 4th floor to check on availability. We went there and checked at least 6 times during our 3D2N stay and each time, we were told that there was no immediate availability but to come back at a later time instead. They also turned us away when we tried to make an advance booking. They could have saved time for everyone by just saying there was no availability and reservations were unavailable instead of asking us to come back every now and then. Overall, the service level was very disappointing for a 4-star hotel. There are better and cheaper hotel options around the Harbourbay area."

"The security staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful，they would even assist by opening the door, which made us feel welcomed. The location is very convenient, especially if you have an early ferry back to Malaysia. It’s only about a 5-minute walk to the terminal, which is a big plus. However, the room cleanliness needs improvement. The pillowcases and bedsheets had visible stains, which was quite disappointing."

"Overall, my stay at AsiaLink Easy by Prasanthi was okay, but there were some issues. The main problem was the air-conditioning in the hotel room. The room felt warm, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. We eventually had to request a room change for the following day. On the positive side, the hotel provides free lunch or dinner every day, which was a great benefit. The breakfast was also not bad. The receptionist was helpful, and the overall service was decent. Overall, the stay was satisfactory, but the air-conditioning issue definitely affected our comfort."

"Facilities: Great facilities, there's a game room on the first floor, and the room amenities are also complete. Cleanliness: Very good, spotless, and the room is spacious. Service: Everyone was lovely, and we even received a welcome drink. Environment: It's right next to the pier, and you can even see Singapore in the distance."

There are plenty of restaurants and food options nearby. A Morning Bakery is just a 5-minute walk away, perfect for an authentic local breakfast experience. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. The unique cruise ship theme adds charm and provides several great Instagram-worthy photo spots. The hotel also features a pleasant swimming pool, and massage services are available at rates more affordable than many external spas. Staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help."

"Need to upgrade the room . I got a leve 4 room which had some issues with door which the door cannot close properly . Wall need to be repainted and the woodwork need to fix and flooring need to clean up. And lightings need to change. Apparently this hotel needs an upgrade . But the only things is Service is good and sky lounge at roof top is nice due the view."

"The room is good and bed is comfy. I don't like the toilet, it's quite small indeed. The room also have mosquitoes, quite annoying. Service wise is not very helpful. I'm asking for a small change for the grab as most of the grab drivers in Batam don't have small change, a BIG hotel just shun you off and say don't have ... Just a small change if breaking IDR50,000 also don't have! Breakfast is terrible thou, nothing to fancy about ... I stayed for 4 days 3 nights, but I can say every morning breakfast is a disaster"

"Nearby, there's also a McDonald's and KFC within easy reach. My stay at this hotel, Room 2605, was excellent. The environment is great, clean, and tidy, making for a comfortable experience. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was quick and efficient. The hotel's location is also superb, with convenient transport links nearby, making it very easy to get around. Overall, the service quality is high and it offers good value for money. It was a very pleasant stay and I'd definitely recommend it."

"I enjoyed the accessibility to Grand ESKA spa. The breakfast buffet was simple yet enjoyable and delicious. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Appreciated the front desk team for remembering us by face and asking how our day was daily. The hotel was refurbished. Even though old, the bed was good, firm and new and room was kept clean. The lift was rather dingy but it still got us up and down safely. Lastly, i personally enjoyed the quiet corners of the hotel. Loved the fact that our level was “child free” hence there werent kids shouting in rooms. I love children, but the hotel’s particular policy of no child in the room type we booked was pleasantly surprising. Will returned. Note: spa experience was on point too."
