四个傻小孩Really enjoyed our stay at Norden. Facilities are ‘hostel’ like so you have access to kitchen, laundry, cafe and even a common area with books and tea area. We got upgraded to a family room which had two huge king beds and a pretty good view. The room was comfy and well equipped. Location super prime - lots of food and a wet market just down the road. Night market is nearby but it wasn’t open on Tuesday so we didn’t visit. Basically everything was walking distance since Tai Tung is so small. Reception is also very friendly and helped us call for a taxi to the train station which came in just 5mins. Overall would recommend and will be back again.

I was already deeply attracted by the unique and tranquil environment of the hotel, but I was even more surprised to find a 'traveler's storybook' in the room! Reading the various sad, happy, or bewildered stories left by past guests who stayed in the same room deeply moved me to tears. I gained immense energy from your stories. Thank you, hotel, for this warm and thoughtful gesture. If I ever have the chance to travel solo to Taitung again, I will definitely stay here once more!! 🥹

I had a wonderful stay: perfect location in the city center, very nice and comfortable room, kind staff. They provided a voucher to have breakfast at the coffeeshop in front, or even bought breakfast for us.
Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel provides clean rooms, but there’s some confusion regarding the term “double-bed room.” It’s unclear whether the hotel or Trip.com is responsible for using this term to describe a room with just one large bed, which can mislead visitors seeking two separate beds. The website should clarify this terminology to avoid inconvenience. Guests shouldn’t have to leave additional notes when booking, as the room choice should be clear from the options provided.

LolitaI was very surprised as from the few pictures I have seen it looked small but in fact I found the small room they offer rather enough. The bathroom was huge. The bed is nice too. The reception and the breakfast rooms are well decorated and very enjoyable. Great location on top of that ! Nearby night market. And a great thanks to the young man at the reception who took time to help me park my big car.

Guest UserThe location is right next to the transit station, offering many route options whether you're coming from the train station or heading to the suburbs, though bus frequencies are low. There's also a paid parking lot across the street, which is convenient if you're driving. Nearby, you'll find department stores, a cinema, a night market, and a regular market, making it very lively with excellent amenities.
The hotel uses a fully self-check-in system with no staff visible on site. There's only one check-in machine, placed a bit out of the way, which I didn't notice immediately upon arrival. After completing the process, you receive a password to open the main door.
There's no elevator, and the male dorm room is on the 4th floor. The only common facility is a water dispenser. The toilet is located inside the room and combined with the shower. If all beds are occupied, you might have to wait to use the bathroom.
The room size is decent, and the bed is quite comfortable. Overall, it's a reasonably comfortable stay, especially for a solo traveler for one or two nights, and the price is affordable. However, if you have concerns about shared bathroom facilities, I'd advise against visiting during peak season!

Pros: well established Naruwan Group. Fantastic shower water pressure after a tiring day.
Cons: the original booked hotel was closed for upgrading and i was not informed. The whole building was closed when i arrived. I immediately call the hotel through trip.com and the receptionist informed that they has arranged for a room at the hotel next door (also Naruwan Group’s hotel). I was expecting a paddy field view room but i was assigned to the room facing heavy industrial lots.
Other than that, it was a good stat at Naruwan Hotel and value for money.

I have mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and they deserve to be praised, but there is a clear problem in how the hotel is managed.
First of all, an hotel that large, with just one elevator. That is just nuts. Each time we needed to use it, it was at least 5-10 minutes wait, if not more. Also the hotel is clearly understaffed. For breakfast, one of the days there were more than 100 people in the room, with just 1 person to check-in people. The line was just unbearable.
It seems the rooms were renovated not that long ago, but it was clearly a faulty renovation. The isolation is poor to non existent given the rain sounds makes it difficult to sleep. And don't get me started with the air isolation, which it directly none. If the wind blows, a breeze flows into the room, causing the curtains to make noise all day long.
To be fair also, the location is convenient, just across the street from the bus station, so taking transportation to/from the train station, or along the amazing east coast was easy and quick.
All in all, not an awful stay, but I am sure there are better options in the same price range with better overall quality.

Its proximity to Taitung Bus Station makes it incredibly convenient for exploring the night market on Thursday evenings. Being particularly close to Seashore Park, it's perfect for catching both sunrise and sunset. The mattress was just right – neither too soft nor too hard – ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; their excellent service truly deserves high praise.

Poor sound insulation, you can hear the hair blowing in the door
The equipment is poor and the hair is blowing. It takes 2 minutes to jump. No one picks up at the counter and has to go downstairs to find someone.
The bed is very poor. There is no spring bed like a wooden bed. The door cannot be fully integrated. It will be opened at any time.
