"Best hotel in Fuzhou. Nicely located with a tranquil and peaceful environment. Service was great, especially the concierge. They are very helpful and service oriented. Every staff greet their guest whenever you enter. Room service was prompt and responsible. The West Lake view was awesome. Good for morning run and evening stroll. A lively and historical place. Places of interest were located nearby, museums, panda park, walking streets. Ample of local restaurants and stores. Local people were kind and friendly. I will stay again in this hotel for my future trips to Fuzhou."

"I initially chose another hotel, but wasn't satisfied. Then I came to Lan Ou Hotel, and it felt like a breath of fresh air. The room has a big bed and a comfortable sofa to lounge on. It's located next to a residential area, so it's super quiet at night for sleeping. They even offer Fujian local snacks for breakfast! The hotel front desk service is also very attentive; they were still actively answering questions even near midnight. I'd recommend this place to anyone flying in or just arriving in Fuzhou. Plus, it's close to a street full of delicious food. Definitely avoid hotels near the highway; they're noisy at night. In short, if you're in Fuzhou, choose Lan Ou!"

"Loved this beautiful, traditional hotel in Fuzhou. The staff was super accommodating to my dog and extremely helpful. Parking was very convenient right opposite the street where the hotel was in. One note, while the hotel itself was super pet friendly- my dog was even allowed to come with us to the breakfast restaurant and they made sure to arrange a quiet spot- it should be noted that the hotel itself is in a pedestrian area that doesn’t allow dogs. It would have been nice to know this beforehand. When I let the concierge know that we weren’t being allowed into the street, he immediately came running to assist and we were allowed to walk from the hotel and back during our stay, but it would’ve been nice to know beforehand. The staff was kind enough to tell us where in the area I was allowed to walk my dog. The room and amenities were beautiful though and other than the doggy inconvenience we loved our stay. They even were quick and helpful to send back the jacket my mom had forgotten in the room."

"If you're traveling to Fuzhou, I highly recommend this guesthouse! It's located within the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, very close to the main street but surprisingly quiet. The guesthouse staff are fantastic; they proactively reached out, helped us with our luggage, and even made us three special drinks that they're planning to launch, which everyone absolutely loved 😌 The guesthouse design is beautiful and great for photos, and the rooms are clean. The mung bean soup they prepared for check-in and the daily breakfasts were also incredibly delicious 😋"

"I was very satisfied with this hotel. Upon arrival, they upgraded my room, and for the May Day holiday, they even prepared a festive welcome gift – a truly delightful surprise! The room was an Executive King, very spacious, and even included a hot tub with bath salts for a relaxing soak. The slippers were of good quality, not the usual disposable fabric type. Breakfast selection was quite good for a four-star hotel, featuring hot dishes. You could even customize your own hot pot with options like beef eye, fish balls, and more. It really had a distinctive Fujian flavor."

"I came to Fuzhou for the Pleasure concert this time, and following my rule of 'new over old,' I chose this hotel among a bunch of older Hilton and Kempinski properties. Even though it's considered a 'lite W' (a more affordable version of W Hotels), it was actually really good and offered excellent value for money. The location is great, about 20 minutes from Fuzhou Station. It's also less than a 20-minute drive by taxi to tourist spots like Yantai Mountain, Sanfang Qixiang, and Fuzhou MixC. The hotel is very new, and the room was spacious – perfect for one person. Especially considering it was less than 900 for a night, which is fantastic. A big plus is the strong shower pressure, and you can even enjoy a hot spring bath, which is a huge bonus. The staff were very enthusiastic and had great attitudes. My only complaint is that the breakfast selection was just average, and the taste was nothing special. In this regard, it still can't compare to traditional old-school five-star hotels. The gym on the third floor seems to be a collaboration with a local fitness brand; you just swipe your card to enter. The equipment is fairly comprehensive, and it felt good to get a workout in early in the morning. All in all, if I get a chance to visit Fuzhou again, I'll definitely choose this place. The price is just right!"

"We booked a 270° river view room. When we arrived, the previous guests had just checked out, and the front desk upgraded us to a suite directly. It was a bit of a shame, actually, because I originally wanted to book a suite when I made the reservation, specifically for the river view from that particular room. Luckily, everything else went smoothly. The elevator system in the hotel is a bit cumbersome; you have to go from the underground parking to the ground floor, then from the ground floor up to the 40th floor to check in, and then switch elevators again to go up to the 54th floor. However, there's a dedicated service for delivering food orders directly to your room. Another reason I booked this hotel was for the gym, but due to my schedule, I couldn't make it there, which was a bit disappointing. I missed out on the 'sky gym.' I didn't try the hotel breakfast, so I can't comment on its quality. The hotel's surroundings are very convenient, making it easy to get to various places. Every single staff member at the hotel is exceptionally good. No matter who it was or where they were, if they saw you carrying something, they would proactively ask and offer help. The turndown service was also excellent. Setting aside the hardware, their service awareness surpasses even the Waldorf Astoria in Xiamen. Attendant Xiao Yang's service was excellent and very thoughtful. The housekeeping auntie also had an outstanding service attitude; towel replenishment was prompt, and trash was collected in a timely manner. Really excellent. Special praise for the 'sky shower' – the water pressure was impressive. It was a very comfortable trip overall. However, there might be a significant mite problem with the hotel bedding. My baby developed rashes, which was a bit upsetting. Everything else was quite good."

"The hotel is incredibly close to Fuzhou Station. It's right outside Metro Exit D1, you don't even have to cross the road! I had a large suitcase, and I just went straight from the metro exit into the hotel. Since it's newly opened, it's genuinely super new and clean! As soon as I entered the lobby, I noticed a subtle, pleasant scent, and the decor is very comfortable, not that old-fashioned hotel style. Everything in the room was brand new, the bedding was soft and fluffy, making for a great night's sleep. The hygiene was impeccable, and there was absolutely no new renovation smell. The young lady at the front desk was also incredibly nice, with a kind and friendly attitude. Check-in was super fast, which made me feel very welcome. The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise; they even had local Fuzhou specialties! I thought the taro paste was particularly delicious, and they had Laohua too. Anyway, I didn't need to go out looking for food spots. 😂 Since I was traveling for an extended period, I needed to do laundry. The hotel has a laundry room with washing machines, dryers, and detergent, all free to use, which was very convenient. Overall, I'm very satisfied."

"The hotel's location is great! It's right next to a commercial building and there's a super popular hotpot restaurant nearby, along with many other dining options, which is really convenient. It's also only about a 5-minute walk to the subway station. As for cleanliness, the cleaning staff tidies up daily and keeps everything very clean. Regarding the facilities, the sink drains really, really slowly... I was too lazy to bother reporting it to the hotel. Also, the showerhead is a bit crooked, so you have to manually adjust it to get it to work properly. The overall environment is nice; the lobby is very bright and the underground parking garage is a huge plus."

DDaniel RodThe hotel is located fairly centrally in the island of Pingtan in a small village. Its exterior is nicely decorated with lights, and if you arrive late at night like we did, you’ll thank for that, as it shines like a beacon in a otherwise not very well lit street. The service shone from the beginning. One of the staff was ready to help us with our luggage and show us in, and there was no delay with the registration of my passport (something that as any foreigner that has travelled in the Chinese Mainland will be able to tell, is not something to take for granted), and was immediately added to WeChat, where through the entire trip I was kept updated on everything relevant to us as guests, from the time breakfast was ready, to the fact that a guest with a dog was going to stay in a room next to ours (to which they offered to change if we needed in case any of us was scared or allergic to dogs). Breakfast was always kept warm for us, even when we were coming down late and were not expecting it to be there, and in general the staff’s attitude was always what you would expect in a bigger, more established (and more expensive) hotel, but with a home-stay twist. The hotel is not very close to any scenic spot or touristic destination, but they offer a service of e-bike rental that we used through the trip, and that we’d recommend to anybody is staying here as it took transportation off the list of things we had to think about, and allowed us to fully take advantage of the central location of the inn. With 2 people per bike, going very far North, or South to the city (sometimes both in one trip), we never ran too close to empty our batteries. The room was clean, big enough, and as we were staying on the last floor and our door opened to a patio, very well ventilated. The patio also proved to be a nice place to sit and chill or eat, and I was able to make work I had to finish feel less of a sore in the middle of my holidays. The only things I’d add or change to the room experience are a place to hang clothes (there wasn’t any closet or the sort), the toilet paper (they offered tissues but they don’t feel the same when you want to, you know, keep your hands clean), and real towels (they offer disposable towels, but they’re just not the same). In conclusion, not only I would come back but I most certainly will, as I had an amazing trip and this inn played no small part in it. Would 100% recommend if you like less noisy, more home stay-ey atmosphere, and don’t mind to be a few minutes drive from the city.

GGuest UserTraveling by car, there's an underground parking garage, and the hotel service is excellent; the butler was incredibly responsive to all our requests. The hotel has a limited number of rooms, so it's very quiet. It's also close to Sanfang Qixiang. They offer afternoon tea and a sweet soup before bed. Most of the first-floor king rooms have a lovely little courtyard. The second-floor twin rooms have balconies. The only downside was the central heating; it was so hot at night that I couldn't sleep. Even opening the window didn't help, so the butler brought a circulating fan that we kept on all night.

GGuest UserThe location is great, and the front desk staff are warm and responsive. There's free freshly ground coffee on the first floor, plus a washing machine and dryer, which is very convenient. There's a bus stop right outside. They even have a shuttle service to and from Fuzhou Station. I had a very satisfying stay here during my trip to Fuzhou, and I'll definitely come back next time.

The guesthouse has a great overall vibe, and the room was spotlessly clean with soft, comfortable bedding, making for a truly relaxing stay. The amenities are comprehensive and thoughtfully detailed. The host was very attentive, promptly answering any questions. It’s a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle, and the sea breeze is so therapeutic. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

The service attitude was great; when I couldn't get the room's screen mirroring to work, they quickly came up to help me fix it after I called 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽. The facilities are comprehensive, with a large TV and a hairdryer, and there's free water and coffee downstairs 🫶🏻. It's very close to the subway station, food street, and Sanfang Qixiang, and right next to a large shopping mall. Taxis are also easily accessible 🫰🏻👽.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right across from the attractions, and the subway station is just a short walk away, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The front desk staff were all amazing – so gentle, patient, and polite. The room was spotlessly clean too. If I ever visit Fuzhou again, I'll definitely choose this hotel! (By the way, the takeout from Old Fuzhou is delicious!)

Thankfully, the hotel provides a shuttle service, and a big shoutout to the friendly Xiao Zhang who drove us back and forth multiple times. GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, close to several major attractions. The rooms are spacious, and the bathroom features a separate wet and dry area, with the shower and toilet also being separate. The front desk staff are wonderful – very friendly, generous, and incredibly welcoming. The hotel breakfast is varied and delicious; we stayed for two days, and the breakfast options were different each day, which was a huge plus! 👍👍👍 There's free parking available, though the camera at the entrance sometimes has trouble recognizing license plates. All the hotel staff are lovely and approachable, I was very satisfied. Bottled water is provided daily, and they're happy to give you extra bottles whenever you need them. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Fuzhou for business or leisure.

GGuest UserThe location is absolutely unbeatable. It's a mere ten-minute walk to Sanfang Qixiang and Wuyi Square, and there are countless snack shops right outside the door. The front desk staff were efficient and accommodating, especially with luggage storage. The room was spotless, the mattress was comfortable, and the soundproofing at night was excellent, ensuring a peaceful sleep. This place is so convenient for exploring Fuzhou's food scene and sights, offering great value for money. I'll definitely book here again on my next visit.
