"Every time I visit Jilin, I stay at this hotel, the best in Jiangcheng, always opting for a river-view room. This time, I encountered Ms. Zhuzi at the front desk, who was incredibly warm and attentive. She even gave me discount vouchers, which came in handy for dinner at the 38th floor restaurant. "Comfortable hotel that is close to Jilin Railway Station - about 6 mins drive away. Great for a nights stay especially if you’re headed out to take the train the next day! We had to catch an early train so we asked for the hotel to pack breakfast - which contained - a packet of milk, a preserved packaged egg, bread (I liked this), some packaged sausage. They also provided bottled water and were fine when we requested for more."

"The room was clean and tidy, with twin beds, probably 130cm wide. The pillows were just right, not too soft nor too firm, and the duvet was of a suitable thickness. Soundproofing was also excellent. The breakfast selection was rich and varied. The braised pork with mushrooms was surprisingly delicious; I even had a couple of bites of lean meat first thing in the morning – truly savory! If you're in a hurry, you can also grab a simple takeaway breakfast with milk and cake. The service was great. I had a late flight, and they kindly gave me an extended check-out time. Five-star review. I saw the rime ice, watched the Errenzhuan show, cuddled a snow fox, went ice fishing, rode a horse, and visited the Ice and Snow World. It's been an amazing trip, time to head back!"

"The front desk staff were incredibly sweet, especially Zhang Ting and Xiao Hou, who made check-in and check-out super fast and even upgraded our room! The ski-in/ski-out access was incredibly convenient, and the complimentary cable car tickets took us straight to the mountaintop. Our room was wonderfully warm, and soaking in a bath with a snowy view after skiing was absolute perfection. The breakfast was delicious, and the attention to detail in the service was impeccable. This truly lives up to its five-star rating; we'll definitely be back!"

"I was on a business trip to Jilin City and was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and it only ends at 10 am, which was perfect for me since I can't get out of bed easily. Parking was also convenient. The front desk staff patiently recommended nearby restaurants to me. The sweet and sour pork was quite good. I highly recommend this hotel. The bedding was incredibly soft, and the water was even from Baishui Mountain, haha. The toiletries were high-quality, the rooms were spacious, and most importantly, the soundproofing was excellent, resulting in a great night's sleep!"

"The room facilities are very user-friendly, and the service level and attitude are excellent. The hotel's breakfast is also rich and varied. The location is very close to the bustling Henan Street, and Hunchun Street Night Market is right outside the front door on the right. It's just over a hundred meters from the famous Songhua River, which makes the night view even more beautiful, and boat tours of the Songhua River are practically on your doorstep! I've stayed at the Atour Hotel on Beijing Road in Jilin City several times now, and it's genuinely good."

GGuest UserThe hotel proactively informs guests around 4 AM whether there's a chance of rime ice that day, saving us from waiting around for nothing – that's really thoughtful. The best part is, regardless of the weather, they provide shuttle service to Little Rime Island. Given its remote location, having a dedicated shuttle not only solves transportation issues but also makes the early morning trip safe and stress-free! While the shuttle service to Little Rime Island is convenient, its remote location means higher transportation costs. I highly recommend visiting in January when the chances of seeing rime ice are highest. Otherwise, traveling all that way only to miss out on the spectacular rime ice could make the trip feel a bit bland. Choosing the right time is key to making it a worthwhile journey!

GGuest UserArriving at Wusong Island at this time truly amazed me. It's incredible that such a beautiful place could exist in an ordinary rural area. It was snowing in Northeast China, and the owner said that the chances of Wusong Island appearing after snowfall are extremely high. Without a doubt, there would be 100% rime ice. I got up very early the next day to see the sunrise. Then the owner picked us up and brought us back for breakfast. Following the owner's wife's schedule, we went out and saw the rime ice against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds—it was simply a fairyland, breathtakingly beautiful. We immediately decided to stay another night; it was truly stunning. The guesthouse was warm and cozy, and the food was incredibly delicious. In the evening, we decided to try a Manchu hot pot. Last night we had goose stewed in an iron pot over a wood fire—it was so fragrant! I will definitely come back again. The owner and his wife provided absolutely fantastic service.

GGuest UserHotel is rather near to the Jilin train station. Exit via the west entrance. It is a 5-8mins walk away. However, for families with baggage, a Didi/taxi ride is just 6-7 yuan away. Rooms are modern. Lots of eateries nearby. Also found out there were plenty of malls selling specialist winter gear nearby. Huilong shopping mall level 3/4 for the jackets. Da Fu Hao mall a short 3-4 mins walk from there for the winter shoes. Another mall for the skiing attire. Can consider getting your winter stuff here before going to your onwards winter holiday at Changbaishan or Haerbin.

The bathroom had a convenient wet-dry separation, and the attention to detail throughout was excellent. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Check-in was both swift and thoughtful, and they even proactively upgraded my room type. The dining experience was equally impressive. Breakfast at Xijiangyue Restaurant offered an extensive selection, including Chinese pastries, hot dishes, and various congees. The Chaoshan cuisine at Wanyuege Chinese Restaurant was incredibly authentic. Furthermore, Pengdashi Hotpot not only provided stunning river views but also offered a two-person set menu with exceptional value for money.

AAllxtThis hotel is excellent! We're foreigners, from Russia, and it was our first time visiting Songhua Lake. The New Story Suite Hotel made us feel right at home. All the staff were incredibly kind. There are so many fun spots in this hotel! Games, karaoke, and a restaurant are all on the -1 floor. I have three kids, so there were plenty of things for them to do. It was super convenient to bring the children here. My favorite part was the massage. I especially loved Mr. He (He Ruiyou). His hands are truly amazing! We'll definitely stay here again next time! (Original Russian review also provided): We stayed at this hotel during the New Year holidays with our large family (5 people: 2 adults and three children). We rented a large room, which was cozy and clean. We all felt comfortable in this spacious room, and there were enough beds for everyone. We loved everything about this hotel: the friendly staff, and the cleanliness was top-notch – we walked barefoot in the room. You can request room cleaning as needed. Downstairs, there's a hot water pool. The water is changed every three days. But what I liked most was the Tesla shuttle service to the mountain. And the most wonderful thing about this excellent hotel is the masseur He Ruiyou (that's his name in Chinese). After a day on the slopes, a massage from Mr. He is exactly what you need. He is the best masseur I've ever encountered.

DDaexiaoedechaorenThe guesthouse is actually a family-run business in a village on Wusong Island, but the owners are quite professional and the place is very clean, which is very important. Although the rooms are simply furnished, each one is a heated kang (traditional heated bed), which is very warm. The breakfast is also plentiful, with eight kinds of pickled vegetables alone—some of which are homemade! There are also eggs, steamed buns, corn, sticky rice cakes, and corn porridge. The corn in the morning was so good I wanted to take two bags home! The formation of Wusong Island is very interesting. With the blessing of the five-star rime ice and the guidance of the owner, Mr. Xie, we truly saw textbook-perfect rime ice! Adults and children alike were amazed, especially my dad who had a great time with the kids. Apparently, the Wusong Island scenic area isn't as extensive as what the owner showed us. The owner took us to several spots where we could see the rime ice, all along the riverbank. The diversity outside the scenic area is definitely richer. You can imagine it's on an island, very rustic, without any luxury hotels—exactly the kind of experience we wanted to give our children… The owners were incredibly warm and hospitable, showcasing the true hospitality of Northeasterners. What kind of amazing business would drive you around to find beautiful rime ice? What kind of amazing business would demonstrate such professional photography skills? What kind of amazing business would patiently explain where the best spots on Wusong Island are and when they're at their best? Only Lao Xie's! I haven't tried any other places, but Lao Xie's guesthouse made us feel right at home—like stepping out of the car and feeling right at home. We changed into slippers inside—the heating was wonderful! We arrived around 9 pm and hadn't eaten yet, but we had pre-booked a hot pot meal, and it was served as soon as we entered! The food was good and the price was reasonable. The main problem is that the village gets pitch black at night, and there's not much else to eat there. Finally, if you're driving, I suggest going during the day. Driving into the village at night is dangerous because there are no lights along the way, especially if you're unfamiliar with the area. Also, if you plan to see the sunrise during the day, be sure to dress warmly and wear gloves! I forgot mine, and my hands were practically frozen solid!

GGuest UserThis is a very good hotel. My mother and two babies are very happy. The hotel rooms are very luxurious, much better than the hotels of the same price in the south. The service quality, especially Wang Bing from the front office, made us feel at home. She was very enthusiastic and explained clearly all the questions we didn't understand. Just because of Wang Bing, I will stay here again when I go back to Jilin.
