I just searched on Xiaohongshu randomly and didn't expect much. I was surprised when I arrived. The design and facilities of the room are all high-end homestays, but the price is only half of the same type of famous homestays. It's a surprise! The bedding is very comfortable and the pillows must be praised. And her ham is unique, it's delicious and not as salty as other hams. You must order it. The eggs are picked up by myself from the chicken coop, and the vegetables are picked by the eldest sister in the field. The native chicken only eats vegetable leaves and corn. The soup is golden and fragrant. The landlord's family is simple and kind, and gave me a very good experience during this trip. I highly recommend it!"

"Hardware is definitely the best in Nuodeng. The owner's careful design can be seen in every detail of the room. It is comfortable to sleep and safe to use. Even the bathroom supplies are Penhaligon's, with a fresh fragrance. The decorative paintings on the wall are specially drawn by the owner instead of the same old prints. You will never be disappointed if you come to Nuodeng to live in Suishan. By the way, their dishes are also delicious. The local chicken mushrooms are very fragrant, and the ham... even a ten-year-old child knows that it is delicious and can't stop eating... When I left, I bought more than three pounds of ham, and a small piece was cut into four bags of thin slices to take to Dali to make snacks with friends. I finished it before I arrived in Dali...
A small suggestion: It is still a bit difficult to find the location of Suishan when you first come to it. It is recommended to make an electronic hand-drawn map and mark the important coordinates of the parking lot, bridge, big green tree, and Qitingyuan, so that it is easier to locate Suishan! "The hotel is very new, in good sanitary condition, and the price is at the level of a fast chain hotel. The surrounding environment is a bit messy and it is a bit far from the central city. Two things to complain about, the breakfast was terrible, the breakfast time ended at 9:30, and before 9 o'clock there was nothing to eat except a bowl of rice noodles in clear soup, and the waiter said you were late, everyone else had eaten. This is the management level of Home Inn. It would be better to provide them by portion instead of self-service. There was no hot water to wash my face in the morning. The breakfast area is a semi-outdoor bar, which is beautiful and stunning. During this trip to Yunnan, I booked a lot of hotels on Ctrip, but this is the only one with a bad review."

My inn underwent overall renovation of water, electricity, and rooms in August 2024.
The inn is located on the mountainside of Nuodeng Village. In order to get into the village, guests need to go through a parking lot at the foot of the mountain (the parking lot is public and free). After parking, please walk up to Eastern side of Daqingshu (a big tree next to the main square of the village), which takes around 15 minutes (the inn is located around 20 meters above Daqingshu). The straight-line distance from the parking lot is only around 300 meters, but it is still a bit tiring to walk up as the whole village is located on a mountain.
Be careful while walking up in the evening. The village has dim street lights.

"Such a wonderful, peaceful stay, with the most friendly and helpful English speaking hosts! Kindhearted owner Liuting (Eva) cooked us very tasty vegetarian meals, and her partner Dima gave us some lovely travel recommendations in the region. Liutings brother and sister were also very sweet. Nuodeng is the perfect combination of nature (nice walks in and around the village) and culture (old temples, beautiful old houses and stairs- it's smart to bring a backpack instead of suitcase). Also very suitable to work away from home for a few days: strong wifi and plenty of little work spaces up and downstairs in the property, with the most beautiful views over the valley. The cute animal companions made our stay complete: I loved the cat cuddles, and dog Xiaohua even joined us on multiple walks. On our departure day, Liuting helped us so much with organising a shared taxi too. And on top of everything: the food and stay was so affordable, great value for money. We hope to come back one day!"

The lady and her family are all very kind, gentle, and their cooking skills are great!
We were lucky enough to catch freshly killed local chicken and stewed it with mushrooms. Oops, it was super delicious!
The raw ham was paired with fairy mint and cherry tomatoes. I couldn't stop eating, and the two of them finished a large portion. The young lady was afraid that our food would be too salty, so she specially made mint tea for us 🍵 It was delicious!
The B&B is easy to find. It’s right next to the big green tree, halfway up the mountain. The scenery is super beautiful. Whether it’s sunset or morning light, it’s a worthwhile trip! Good food, good accommodation and good looks!"

"The B&B is located halfway up the mountain in Nuodeng, and the view from the room window is absolutely stunning. The B&B also has a garden restaurant, and even though it's winter, the garden is still in full bloom. It's hard to imagine how beautiful it would be in spring and summer! The B&B's housekeeper was incredibly helpful. Seeing I was traveling alone, she not only helped me with dinner but also took me to Yunlong's pig-killing rice restaurant. I can't express my gratitude enough."

Even the pillowcase quilt cover and even the curtains have unified color system, all pure cotton and hemp, lying on the bed seems to be completely trapped, but also powerfully supported, is a solid soft, I looked at it, two layers of structure thick mattress, than the spring mattress rebound feeling to be too solid...

GGuest UserThe inn is located above the village. The scenery is very good. It is a ten-minute walk from the scenic spots. It is very quiet to stay here. The room is large, and there is a small tea table in the bay window at the end of the bed, where you can watch the scenery and drink tea. Outside the floor-to-ceiling glass is an independent small garden about the same size as the room, with some small landscapes suitable for taking pictures. The temperature of the shower water in the bathroom is suitable and the water is quite large. It's great to walk around the village, take a shower, and drink beer in the small garden! It is particularly worth mentioning that the bath towels and hand towels are sterilized and wrapped in cellophane, which is very hygienic! The boss is really polite and enthusiastic. It was my first time staying in a youth hostel, and I really liked the layout of the hostel. The food cooked by the proprietress was also delicious. GGuest UserIn the natural surroundings of Nuodeng, this kind of B&B is quite good, but it's not as boastful as some other reviews suggest. I suspect the owner has other interests, and the B&B is just a sideline. The entrance is also undergoing extensive renovations, and there was only one housekeeper on the day I stayed. The room was clean, but the service and homelike feeling were lacking. Nuodeng is a wonderful village worth revisiting, but it's already undergoing large-scale commercial development. I hope the ancient village can become less commercial and more rustic. Here's a photo of the Milky Way taken from his balcony on September 20th (fruit machine).

GGuest UserReturning to Guangdong from Deqin Motorcycle Tour, I didn’t have the chance to see the Rizhao Jinshan Mountain in Meili this time☹️. With some regrets, I navigated to Nuodeng and chose the highly rated Hemerocallis Lodge. The overall accommodation experience was very good. This was my motorcycle trip. The most restful night of sleep😀. Before I left, I happened to see swallows flying between the eaves of the small courtyard. It turned out that the little ones chose to build their nests on the wooden beams of the small courtyard. Haha, I was lucky to have this small courtyard. There were swallows. Come, good omen✌! Well, I can sort out the regrets caused by Meili’s clouds😄. When writing this review, I should also plan when to come to Hemerocallis House to see the Yanzi family and add some blessings😎.
