"The Holiday Inn staff are always smiling and every time they pass by the reception they are greeted warmly and feel like home. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast. There are not too many kinds of food, but it is good for us. Maria, the waiter in the restaurant, will say hello to each guest every day. During the conversation, we also deepened our understanding of the local culture. Other employees will be very busy in the restaurant and do everything. Sometimes there is a shortage of staff, and the chef will personally deliver hot food to the restaurant front desk, so that the guests can enjoy the rich as soon as possible. breakfast. "The room was bigger than expected and had a patio to sit out on, the bed was comfy and everything is situated a short walk from the mews rooms. I did notice the bathroom was a bit dirty and the hot water for the shower went completely this morning. The maintenance man had to come out and fix the boiler to rectify the issue. The location is absolutely stunning and the gardens are well kept. It is really a beautiful part of the UK and the main manor building is lovely. The gardenia restaurant is closed a few days of the week for dinner and also breakfast which I didn’t think was ideal. So we had to go outside to eat dinner as the spa restaurant wasn’t really what I was looking for, for a nice evening meal. For breakfast we had to go to the sage spa restaurant which had a very limited selection of food. There were about 6 dishes to choose from, they said The chef doesn’t cook scrambled egg which is a breakfast essential so I basically had to have a plate of toast. As there was nothing that I wanted on the menu and I was told the smoothie machine was broken so I couldn’t even opt for that instead. This happened straight after the hot water had gone so was a bit of a dampener. I came to the hotel a few years ago when you didn’t have to pay for the spa access but now you do which is a bit annoying. Especially as you can only visit during breakfast or dinner hours even with the £20 surcharge. So then you have to either eat very late at night or have a late lunch otherwise the £20 won’t be well spent and you’d have to leave the spa after an hour"

"Staff excellent. room excellent. not exactly where i needed to be next day but acceptable. Beer selection poor. Hobgoblin Session IPA is not an ale. With Shepheard Neame on your doorstep Spitfire, Bishops finger. Offering a citrusy/zesty as the only alternative to a a multitude of lagers is poor. hobgoblin Ruby if tied to that brewery for this outlet would of been fine or some bottled alternative. Who ever specified to controls for the shower being opposite the shower head and not under it was a bl@£dy genius. No scalding of freewing whilst trying to set the temperature. Thanks for a very acceptable stay."

"The hotel was clean, tidy, comfortable, and bright. The front desk staff were professional and enthusiastic, and all the service staff were very friendly, especially the restaurant staff who were kind and welcoming. This is the most satisfying hotel I've stayed at in the UK, and it offers great value for money. The hotel is close to the train station and the business district. There's an outlet mall nearby and a large supermarket diagonally opposite."

"The hotel in general is okay. The service in the restaurant at breakfast time was very slow. We had wait quite some time for someone to come and take details of our room number down. Tables were left with dirty dishes on for up an hour before being cleared away. The replenishment of food and drinks were very slow to. The choice of breakfast selection was good. The food and service in the restaurant in the evening was better our server was very polite and helpful. Her name was Breeze."

"I booked and paid via Trip.com back in March 2026, however when we came to check-in, the receptionist told me that I had not paid? To avoid any embarrassment, I offered my card detaiks again. When I returned home, I checked my bank statement and that I had Indeed paid in full back in March 26, so I contacted the hotel and was refunded. Trip.com charged me £125 but the rate the hotel charged me on the day was only £107. I’m confused as to why it was cheaper to pay on arrival? The hotel was very average. It needs a lot of work to bring it up-to-date. This could be an amazing venue but the owners have unfortunately just let it run to the ground. Shame as it’s a great location and has fantastic potential Bed’s were comfortable but the cheap room fans were in effective in this heat."
