"My stay at the Abbey Hotel in Dublin presented a mixed experience, with both positives and a few inconveniences. The hotel boasts an excellent location, being very close to the city center and many major attractions, making most sightseeing spots accessible on foot. There's a shopping mall right across the street, and numerous restaurants and bars nearby, which was super convenient for shopping, dining, and evening outings. However, its distance from Connolly Station is a bit of a drawback; it's about a 25-minute walk, which can be quite a struggle if you're carrying luggage. For this reason, I'd rate the location 4/5. The overall cleanliness of the room was good, and the daily-use spaces were well-maintained, earning a 4/5 for tidiness. A point to note is that our room faced the main road, and the soundproofing wasn't great. Outside traffic and street noise were quite audible, which might bother light sleepers. Furthermore, every time we wanted to enter or exit the hotel, we had to ring a doorbell and wait for the staff to open the door. This was less convenient than being able to use a key card to come and go as we pleased, so the facilities get a 3/5. On the positive side, the front desk staff were incredibly friendly. Their attitude was always pleasant when assisting us with opening the door or handling any accommodation requests, making us feel very welcome. I'd give service a perfect 5/5. Overall, this hotel is ideal for travelers who prioritize a central location, as well as easy access to shopping and dining. However, if you're sensitive to noise, concerned about nighttime disturbances, or prefer unrestricted access to and from the hotel, these are factors you'll want to consider before booking."

"I went to the same hotel with a friend and absolutely loved it. The room was clean, and the shared bathrooms, including the showers, were also spotless. The lounge was my favorite spot because it felt so comfortable and cozy; it was our quiet place to relax after all the walking around Dublin. I adored that the reception staff tried to communicate in Spanish. On the other hand, the buffet was pretty good. I thought there might be more options, based on my experiences at other hotels in Spain, but for a simple and peaceful breakfast, it was wonderful. I also loved the garden. My friend and I are long-distance, and I met him in person at this hotel. I felt warmth and comfort there. For having met my friend there, who I'm going to miss, and for the trust the hotel gave me, even though I'm not one to share a room, I will always be eternally grateful and will never forget the place. Thank you so much. Bye bye Gardiner House Hostel, bye bye to my friend, and bye bye to Dublin. I leave with both nostalgia and happiness ❤️🩹"

"I’ve never been one to write reviews however this hotel is a must if you’re visiting Dublin! Prime location as it’s on the main strip in the temple bar area, brilliant pubs, eateries and shops nearby. We were warmly greeted by a lovely man on the security desk who directed us downstairs to check in, room was ready before check in time so always ring or pop in even if you’re early to see if your room is ready. Reception staff were polite and very helpful offering maps of the local area, recommending a restaurant, offering to book taxis, etc. Our room was a twin, plenty of room for 2 adults with added comforts of a fan and mini fridge. The en-suite was clean and modern, the shower was amazing especially with the included toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser) which smell lovely. We did request a south facing room and it was not noisy at all. We had breakfast from the la carte menu, freshly cooked, tasted lovely with generous portions. On check out we stored our luggage as our flight was late evening, once again offering to book us a taxi for the airport, very helpful!"

"The rooms condition was great. Plus, since dublin is not a big city, we were able to reach the main street in 10-15 minutes. Ans it was not even that much loud than I expected-due to some of the former reviews. The Triple room is very large, It has so much space that we always felt like we underpayed. I definitely recommend this room for those traveling in three."

A stone's throw from the banks of the River Liffey, Ruby Molly may be a newcomer, but she's channelling some serious 19th-century charm. For over a century, the area was home to a lively fruit and veg market. With fresh produce arriving daily on horse-drawn carts, the surrounding streets were abuzz with traders and shoppers, swapping tales of town and country. Inspired by this meeting of rural and urban, we've created an inviting space to meet and mingle with folk from near and far. Join us in the bar for some great music, settle in and take our signature cocktails for a spin. And when it's time to unwind, each room is a haven of Lean Luxury calm, designed with sleep experts to help you drift off after a busy day in the city. A short walk from the river and ten minutes from Temple Bar, Ruby Molly's a great base for exploring Dublin. The Guinness Storehouse is a 25-minute stroll away, as is pretty Phoenix Park. The airport's around 40 minutes away by bus, with stops not far from our front door.

"I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The location is very convenient 🩷🍺everything is within walking distance, so it’s easy to explore the surrounding area, go sightseeing, or just take a relaxing walk nearby. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a perfect location.☘️✨🙏"

Excellent! The front desk staff was very good. The apartment didn't have toothbrushes or slippers. You can ask for a toothbrush at the front desk, but there are no slippers at all. The breakfast was quite rich for the price, and they even had juice. Overall, the service was great.

It was a great stay overall. The location was perfect. It was near the center of Dublin. But was set in a quiet neighborhood just outside it. It is a doable walk to a park set along the water. I loved the Medieval Theme. The staff was friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The dual shower heads are a nice setup. .Request a view of the front of the hotel. The only potential negative is the distance from the airport and the train.

I have chosen Conrad Hotel many times, and the service is impeccable. The breakfast is delicious, and the concierge is also very enthusiastic about the service. I chose a suite, which is large enough and good compared to similar hotels in Dublin.

Check in was a breeze. Breakfast is superb. Just suprised we didn’t get a room with a tub like our previous stay but it wasn’t a bother since it was just a night stay. Beds are very comfortable. Always choosing this hotel for ease in parking and accessibility to motorway.

We had an overall great experience at this hotel. It is in a quieter area of Dublin but there is plenty to see and do just a short walk away including Trinity College, the National Museum of Ireland galleries and within 15 minute walk of most major attractions. They also had good connections to the airport using the Dublin Express Bus that had quite a few stops nearby. There are some very good restaurants a short walk away from this hotel and the Leap Card can get you pretty good public transportation around the city. The hotel has studio style kitchenette apartments. We were surprised with how well equipped the little kitchens were which included multiple cooking utensils and pots. They had a Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, mini fridge (stocked with some milk), microwave/oven and a mini dishwasher. Dishwasher tablets, dish soap, sugar, salt, pepper and a few other things were conveniently included. We made ourselves breakfast each day we were here which was easy to do because there is a Tesco Express and possibly the best bakery in Dublin just around the corner with Bread 41. The room was pretty good with plenty of outlets and even though it was a bit small there was enough space for our two large suitcases and bags. They have a small seating area with a table, a large flat screen TV, good WiFi and good lighting. The bathroom was pretty good too but we weren't a fan of the partition because it does not cover the full shower area and it was easy for water to get out of the shower. They have an all in one body wash too. The room was mostly quiet but we were there on New Year's Eve and there was one lady who had a very loud complaint in the hallway around 3 in the morning for around 15 minutes. The staff are very kind and helpful. They had no room left in their luggage storage when we arrived so they allowed us early check in which is usually 20 Euros. They have a WhatsApp ”AI” chat that you can request service through and we used it for extra towels that came up pretty quickly. The hotel has some amenities including a small restaurant/bar that has some food and coffee and paid laundry machines. Breakfast here costs 15 euros if you pre-book but if you want it the morning of it is 17 Euros. The one thing we found tricky about the hotel is that we had to use the elevator to go up and down even though we were on the first floor because all the stairwells are locked up for safety/fire protocol. Overall, a good stay for our first time in Dublin and we would consider staying here again or recommending to friends and family with similar interests to ours.

I decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked. Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance. The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre. Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well. Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home. The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want. Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!

Staff was very friendly in the reception, we paid not much to leave our luggage before our flight, location is super well located. The room is quite small, but because of price in comparison with what is offered around was really good. Definitely will not stay more than 3 days as not even windows possible to open.

My husband and I had been planning this trip to Dublin for quite some time. And when we found this beautiful boutique hotel online, we were so excited. As soon as we arrived And checked in, there was a lot going on in the lobby area, so it was a little overwhelming. We saw a lady at the desk, but we weren’t sure that she actually worked there because she didn’t greet us. Didn’t even look our way. It seemed like she had a general disinterest or disdain for us being there. I asked, “Is this the front desk to the hotel?” To which she responded in a monotone voice, “Yes.” I was shocked that this was the first impression of the hotel that we were getting. What made it worse was that my husband was told that we needed to put a card on hold and he proceeded to tap his card thinking that it was like all the other places we had been to in Ireland. But it didn’t work. Several times he tapped it and it showed nothing. He asked the lady, “does your tap work? Do you have tap?” To which she replied a curt, “no.” Mind you, she was standing there the entire time and could see the entire situation. This interaction was such a bummer, and this made our short trip to Dublin feel a little sour.  To be honest, not all of the stuff was like that morning. We woke up to get a coffee downstairs, and the gentleman that works at the coffee bar was very warm. A young Spanish speaking man. He was absolutely amazing; patient and willing to answer any questions About the items on the menu And the different pastries available.  Overall, the hotel was a mixed bag. It had a very chic vibe but outside of that lovely gentleman, their customer service can definitely improve!
