"The main reason for staying at the Hongyeguan Hotel was its convenient location for cherry blossom viewing in the north. It's only a little over half an hour's drive to the exhibition center. The hotel includes two meals: a buffet breakfast and dinner. After cherry blossom viewing, guests can enjoy various delicacies such as king crab, soak in the hot springs, and there are even ethnic performances in the evening. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom on the day we checked in, and Hongyeguan was surrounded by them – it was beautiful!"

"How do I describe this hotel? In one word: amazing. It was my first time experiencing a mixed-gender bath from over a century ago. I was truly impressed! The elderly gentlemen were just casually strolling around without a care in the world. Families, you absolutely must try the mixed-gender outdoor hot spring bath. It's located in the old wing of the hotel, a bit of a walk from the new wing, but once you're in the hotel, just grab a map and you'll find it. You can also take the opportunity to peek into the rooms and dining hall of this century-old ryokan. As for the room, it goes without saying that upon entering, you're greeted with a flood of green, which was quite a pleasant surprise. The only minor point is that the Hozawa River was a bit murky. I drove upstream along the river, and soon lost cell service, so it is quite remote, but definitely worth a visit. The two meals were decent, nothing spectacular but perfectly acceptable."

"It was my first time staying in a Japanese hot spring hotel and I had dinner in my room. There are many kinds of food, the rice at the end is special but I can't eat it anymore, the hot spring has indoor and outdoor. It's big, has a great view and a sauna. There are many styles of shower gel and shampoo to choose from. The breakfast was also great. The room is big and the view outside the window is beautiful. There is also a massage chair to relax your back."

"Guide to the room and explanation were good. I booked a room on the second floor with a terrace, but I was sorry that there were a lot of insects and I couldn't use the terrace. When checking out, you will carry your suitcase yourself (from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor by stairs), so it is easier for travelers who stay consecutive nights or travel around to choose a room on the 1st floor. It was good to use a lot of ingredients for the dishes, but overall it was strong and heavy until the last dessert. You should think about balance a little more."

"It was conveniently located in front of Hanamaki Station and had good access from the station. The hotel front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and not at all intimidating. The room was spacious and there was plenty of space to open up my suitcase, which was nice. The amenities were the bare minimum. The front desk sold a pack of basic cosmetics for 300 yen. There was a multi-storey car park across the street and guests were given a free ticket. There was a large artificial hot spring sauna in the basement, which was very new, clean and comfortable. I had no idea there was a large bath where I could stretch my legs and relax in the bath, so it was a nice surprise. The restaurant was quite good. Iwate brand rice, Iwaizumi yogurt, and Platinum Pork Curry were generously prepared, and everything was delicious. There was also an exhibition corner that collected materials about Miyazawa Kenji. After checking out, I had lunch at the breakfast restaurant. I had a very delicious Maezawa beef steak in a spacious restaurant. The seasoning was exquisite and really delicious, I was very satisfied."

"The spring quality of Hanamaki Onsen is good, and your body will be slippery after washing. However, the quality of the staff is not very good. When I checked out, I had already deducted money from the website and asked me to swipe my card again. When I explained it to him, He didn't understand much English, but fortunately he discovered the mistake in the end and didn't pay twice. The dinner buffet is quite rich, recommended!"

There is a shuttle bus from Hanamaki Railway Station to the hotel free of charge, which is very convenient. Our room is equipped with a private outdoor bath, soaking in the hot spring on the balcony at night, and watching the stars, not to mention more comfortable. In addition to the beautiful natural environment around, the thoughtful and meticulous service, the various products in the room gave us a big surprise: the bedding is a goose down quilt, which is loose and soft; there are two types of bathrobes for men and women, and each type is available. Equipped with three sizes of small, medium and large; the cold-proof shawl is actually RalphLauren's! The breakfast is very rich and definitely worth recommending!

I was a little surprised to be in the room such as beetles and crickets because it was in the mountains. It was a little disappointing that there was a spider nest in the room in the Irofuri, and the garbage on the floor was in the same state from the whole day. In addition, there were no appearances of ventilation during the meal, and many people were chatting normally without masks. I felt a little uneasy because there was no partition. The lighting in the facility and the room (especially the toilet) was too dark and I felt inconvenient. The hot spring was very good and the quality of the spring was very good. There is only one bathroom in the bathroom, so if several people overlap, you will wait. The meal was really exquisite. I feel like I keep the quality of my stay only by eating.

In the natural environment surrounded by mountains and forests, the clear stream behind the inn flows gurgling, healing the body and mind. It is fun to enjoy each of the four hot springs that flow directly from the source, but we especially recommend the deepest hot spring in Japan. This is a self-propelled natural rock bath ”Shirasaru no Yu”. This is a very rare hot spring. Due to its depth, you can stand up to enter, but it is evenly distributed throughout your body. It is said that applying hot water pressure can effectively promote blood circulation. The hall also has a nostalgic atmosphere, as if traveling to the past. The hospitality of the staff is also very attentive. If you have the opportunity to stay in Hanamaki, it is a hotel worth staying in.
