Best Hotels in Izu

I recently had the delight of staying at Izu Marriott, and I must say, it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning location of the hotel. Nestled in the picturesque town of Izu, the hotel is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The hotel itself is equally impressive. It is well-designed and beautifully decorated, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. What really stood out to me, however, was the exceptional service provided by the staff at Izu Marriott. They were incredibly polite and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure that I had a memorable stay. Whether I needed recommendations for local attractions or assistance with my room, the staff was always available and eager to help. Especially thank Roshan and the front desk team, who provide exceptional service to us.

　The first time we chose the back of the inn at Shuzenji Onsen, it was the Yukoro Kikuya. It is located almost in the center of the hot spring town of Shuzenji, and if you follow the prefectural road that runs through the northern bank of the Katsura River, there is an entrance to the inn, and there is a parking lot next to it. From the entrance to the main body of the inn, you will pass over the lobby built on the bridge over the Katsura River. Check-in is done on the sofa in this lobby, so you can see the Katsura River from just above the river. As the name ”Yu Corridor” suggests, many hot water areas are connected by long corridors. From those hot springs, I could see the beautiful garden of the inn. The dinner I was looking forward to was called ”Quasi Sakana Kaiseki”, and I was able to choose some dishes as I liked. We were two of us, and we dared to eat different dishes, but each dish looked beautiful and very delicious. Our accommodation plan was a plan to have draft beer free in the private lounge, so we had draft beer in the hot spring and relaxed.

Awesome experience, highly recommended! It's a good place to relax and relieve stress. You can wear pajamas in the hotel (including the restaurant) and the service attitude is impeccable. 1. We booked a room with a bathtub, and we could enjoy the mountain and sea views while taking a bath. When it's a little cold outside, it feels super refreshing to jump into the hot spring bathtub♨️ instantly. 2. There are many types of breakfast, mainly Japanese and Western style, Chinese style including Siomai😄. I personally think it is more delicious than those in big hotels. Friends who like Japanese breakfast will be in for a treat. 3. There is a lounge on the first floor, where you can have some snacks, drink some drinks, and chat with family and friends. 4. The dinner is very exquisite and the portion is large. There will be ramen after 9 o'clock. When we went there, it was Jigoku Ramen with black soup. It was delicious😋 5. The hotel is surrounded by small courtyards with single-family houses. You can walk to the beach in 30 minutes from the hotel and meet many diving enthusiasts.

I used it to dive with three companions. Because of the corona cherry blossoms, I didn't hit the search for a single room, and it was a fairly large room, and I made a reservation to make a social distance. It seems that there was a coupon use by a certain site and a prepaid discount, and about 6000 yen per person including hot water tax. It is a rich view in a luxurious room that doesn't usually make a reservation first, and it feels sorry to not stay with my wife. The public bath is also a natural hot spring, and the open-air bath is a source of water. The inner bath was written as being chlorine disinfected by circulation, but the smell of hot water is not known. There were sauna and water baths, and it was quite slow. The original is like a resort condominium, and the passage faces outdoors, but unless it is rained in the rain of the side hit, it is positive only for the noise like the corridor I felt it. I didn't have a meal, so I can't evaluate it there, but I think it is quite convenient to use it in a group of multiple people because there is a set of cooking equipment and a large refrigerator in the room. It is a big facility, but all the spaces are well air-conditioned and no negative points were found.

This used to be our favorite summer spot. We'd return at least once a year, for perhaps 4-5 years in a row. However, we hadn't been back for quite a long time. This is what I learned on our most recent visit: The hotel room (I think we had a ”Hollywood Standard Twin) was quite spacious. The beds were large and comfortable, and there is a nice-sized balcony with a generous ocean view. I see some other reviews on Tripadvisor calling the rooms ”old and smelly” -- this has never, ever been my experience, not once. The room seemed exactly as it was over 10 years ago, but that's fine. The colors are soft, muted ”beach” colors and we were very comfortable. On our first night we ate at the ”Melesea” restaurant, which serves French cuisine. We chose the ”Demi portion” course, which was about 9,000 yen (about $62USD with today's exchange rate). We chose it because it wasn't as high priced as some of the other course meals and the portion sizes sounded right for us. There is no question that the ”Demi portion” course was one of the best I've ever had in my life. The chef (Mr. Ohki) is obviously a professional who really understands how to bring out the delicate flavors of any dish, and he is a master at preparing sauces. Everything that was served was outstanding. No, we didn't want to pay that much money per person, but ultimately we made the right choice. We both were extremely impressed. The above two things, plus generally good weather, added up to a good experience. Here, though, are things that you should be aware of: This is essentially a family hotel. That means if you are coming here for peace and quiet, and you make the mistake of coming on a weekend or a national holiday, you can expect lots of screaming children running with abandon down the hallways and fussing in the restaurants and everywhere else. Japanese parents tend to indulge and spoil their little ones. And forget about using the pool, since that's where parents will be staked out the first thing in the morning. If you are a parent, you might find this to be the perfect hotel. If you aren't, and you do not enjoy the boundless energy and noise of children, you will be sorry you booked a room here. So, think carefully about the dates you arrive and leave. As for prices: Although you can get a ”Tokyu Hotel” member card, and although you can find online promotions, the way the hotel makes its money is through its dinners. You are going to pay a lot for them, although there is effort put into them, so, you do feel you are having an ”experience.” But they do not come cheaply. Also, if you don't book your room with breakfast, expect to pay ¥2900 for a ”buffet breakfast.” If you are Japanese, you will love this breakfast; if not, you will find an adequate selection of items for a Western breakfast. I stayed for one night in early August with a child of 4 and 7 years old for Shirahama Ohama Beach in front of the hotel. The hotel on the beach is very convenient for bathing with children, but I felt that the line was better here. Check in immediately after the temperature check at the hotel entrance (the room key is received after 15 o'clock), free cloak & shower and dressing room & coin laundry is in the same area, so it becomes light It is connected from the entrance to the pool very close and is the best to move. The only thing that is dissatisfied is the dining hall. There is no window on the mountain side of the first floor and the atmosphere like a large hall for the reception a long time ago. I thought this was perfect if I could see the sea on the top floor or the sea. The content of the meal was buffet. It was a buffet level of so-called ordinary resort hotels, but there were no bad or small types, and there was a live kitchen and it was usually delicious. I stayed in a room with an open-air bath with my family. First of all, I was very satisfied with the food, as the other reviews. I was always able to get the best dishes in the state of being able to get them to the pace here. Of course, the dishes for children were as great as adults without any help. As for the hot springs, the open-air bath with good spring quality and sea view was the best. The room was perfectly spacious and clean and comfortable with 12 tatami mats, 6 tatami mats and 3 tatami mats. Finally, the wonderful place of this inn is the wonderful place where the hospitality spirit is wonderful. I felt warm and attentive everywhere.

The surrounding environment is very quiet, there are free hot springs, red bridges, bamboo forests and many-year-old temples nearby. Although the hotel facilities are old, the tatami and hotel hot springs are very authentic. The package package  breakfast and dinner are very good value.
