Shuzenji Onsen Katsuragawa
"We stayed here for 2 nights and throughly enjoyed ourselves. The ryokan has a no shoe policy and it felt so homely walking around in the free socks provided. The private onsens were so well maintained and never too crowded. Staff were impossibly polite!"
Arai Ryokan
"Overall is good, except food!"
Yukairo Kikuya
"Enjoyed the stay so much! The room is cozy with tradition modern Japanese design. End the night and start the day with private onsen, great experience. Check-in staff can only speak little English, using translations tool makes everything so well."
Izu Marriott Hotel Shuzenji
"Not a bad place but a little bit dated. Dont understand why they would need to charge if using the Sauna, this is pretty basic at an Onsen resort. The hotel onsen and hotel activities were all pretty average, but the room has a direct view of Mt Fuji. 1 night is good enough at this hotel, it's time they do a renovation"
Laforet Shuzenji Sanshisuimei
"Nice and spacious room with a private onsen, with a view on Mount Fuji. It was quiet and able to appreciate nature. Food is limited around apart from the two restaurants and if you don’t have a car, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel, except if you want to stay within the hotel different building and the Marriott."
Ochiairo
"My family and I stayed 3 nights in room Tokonatsu and had a wonderful experience. The entire staff is extremely friendly and they did their very best to meet all our expectations (although their English was quite limited). Our room was well maintained and very quiet, with a nice garden. They have an excellent restaurant and served 3 very different, high quality, traditional meals during our stay. Breakfast and lunch were also included in the package, as well as the laundry, which was amazing. They also have a large and beautiful private onsen which we could book twice at the last minute without any problem. An unforgettable experience in the midst of the beautiful Izu peninsula. You did yo book well in advance though, as they are in high demand!"
Tofuya Resort & Spa Izu
"Not Bad At All - Service Ok - Room Good 👍🏻 (Huge) Better To Visit When The Autumn Leaves Are Blooming"
Shirakabeso
"The location is far away from the stations which made the onsen hotel unique and slient. Excellent service, food and environment are both good as well. Had a good stay."
Atarayo Nishiizu Onsen
"We stayed here for my boyfriend's birthday trip. He became ill on the way to the hotel, so they quickly changed our dinner to in-room dining. We also requested a surprise cake, and they took his condition into consideration and served it with breakfast the next morning, which was a great help. We were truly moved by the staff's courteous and warm service, as well as their attentive attention to detail. Thank you again for your flexibility in accommodating our irregular request. This is a hotel I've always admired, so I was very happy to have stayed here. We will definitely stay again. Thank you."

Meijikan
"The inn is located near Toi Port, just a 10-minute walk from Toi Gold Mine. The room offers a panoramic view of Suruga Bay and the sunset, creating a relaxing and relaxing atmosphere."
Shin Kaikatei Izumi
"Private bath is lovely and the location is convenient!"
Yunohana-Tei
"The entire building is covered with tatami mats, even the bathroom, so after the sauna I was able to cool down leisurely on the tatami mats in the open-air bath. The food was delicious and filling, with dishes that were served to my room and I was able to relax and enjoy them all, which was great. As we made our reservation at the last minute, there were no vacancies and we weren't able to reserve a room with an open-air bath, but as there are only just under 40 rooms at full capacity, it was great that we had the large public bath almost to ourselves and were able to relax."
Akaneiro no umi arujisu
"Very good private onsen in the room. Nice sea view. Dinner is excellent."
Yururi Nishiizu
"It was very good"
Oni No Sumika
"Those with children need to note that children under 12 years old are not allowed to enter the restaurant. Other places are pretty good, but communication is still difficult. The characteristics are quite obvious."
Loquat Nishiizu
"Is over my expectations, service super good, very delicious food . Room super nice, I will stay again soon. Highly recommend for couple , everything are perfect. stayed in the biggest villa , I was the best experience in my life . Only the thing not prefect was no parking inside the hotel due to the villas are 170 years so no space for it . But very very good . 👍👍👍"
Itoen Hotel Toi
"The hotel was big than we expected but it was quite old. The staffs at reception were unable to speak English. The onsen was great."
Sagasawakan
"Exceptional hospitality – The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and respectful, showing genuine care in every interaction. We were also touched by their integrity—after checkout, a staff member ran out to return a 50 yen coin found in our room. Stunning and serene property – The grounds are immaculate and tranquil, featuring four public and three bookable private hot springs, plus a rare outdoor cold pool. Our room included a private riverside outdoor hot tub, perfect for deep relaxation. Authentic and generous meals – The half-board includes exquisite traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner, beautifully prepared with a variety of options. Drinks are reasonably priced, and while some dishes may challenge a Western palate, the culinary experience is rich and there are many options to choose from."
Onyado Sakaya
"Worst, a waste of money. The landlady is arrogant and smelly. The receptionist has a bad attitude. The man directing you to the parking lot has a bad attitude. All the staff have bad attitudes too. If you ask a question they'll say something like "you're being noisy". It's so bad that you'd be better off sleeping outdoors than staying in a place like this. The reviews on other travel sites are bad, so I've deleted all of them. The reviews are all good, so the rating is pretty high. If you look at the reviews that can't be deleted, they are very low. The photos on the website are practically fraudulent. Not a single place is as beautiful as the photos on the website. I wrote a review on another travel site, but it was deleted, so I'm writing it here."
Fugaku Gunjo
"An experience of a lifetime. Loved the stay here and it meant so much to be treated like this. Beyond grateful for how this went and a memory I’ll have for the rest of my life."
Futaritowani En
"The view is perfect (if the weather is good) and we were lucky during our stay. Thanks for the hospitality."
Toi Fujiya Hotel
"The room was on the smaller side, but the public hot springs are nice!"
Yagyu No Sho
"The stay at Yagyu no Sho was very magical. The room that we stayed in was on the second floor with its own private bath. It was a very large room with many small rooms within. The room was very clean and felt luxurious. The service staff were wonderful. A special shout out to Taeko. She made our stay extra special with her wonderful demeanors. The meals were amazing both for dinner and breakfast. They were so abundance and beautifully made. They offered public bath within the facility and they were clean and well kept. Recommended !"

"VACATION VILLA BLUE ARK, where I check in here, is the worst. First of all, the website is a lie. It's just too bad. It's just as other people have written in their reviews. First of all, they advertise it as a private beach, but in reality it's just located at the edge of the general beach, so the inside of the room is completely visible to the many beachgoers, lifeguards, and people walking on the beach. There is no privacy. The space in front of the property looks like a garden in the website image, but in reality it is covered with weeds and insects, covering the property, and there is no space in front of the property. It's just a grassy area. The trash left by the previous owner has not been cleaned up. The chairs that are covered in grass are covered in bird droppings and cannot be used. There are also signs of fireworks in this grassy area, and some of the grass is burned. Setting off fireworks in the grass can cause a fire and is very dangerous. Why has the grass been left so abandoned that it has become like a ruin? I can't believe it. Also, the website says that two SUPs are available for free rental, but both are broken and left in a broken wreckage state. (One has its fins removed and the urethane on the surface of the SUP is peeled off. The other is flat and crushed.) The part to adjust the length of the paddle is also broken. Although it says that SUPs are available for free rental, they are actually tattered rubbish. It seems that it just opened in December 2021, but it is difficult to understand why it is in such a state. Also, even though it was just after checking in, the drain in the bathroom was clogged, and when I checked it out, I found a large amount of hair sludge tangled in it. The washing machine was probably never cleaned, as it was covered in sand and had a lot of black dirt, and there was a lot of hair under the washing machine. The hair dryer was particularly bad, and was stored in a bag while still greasy. The living/dining/kitchen on the first floor smelled of rotten food waste. There was no deodorizer. Many of the provided dishes and cooking utensils showed no signs of having been washed, and they were basically all greasy. Naturally, the grill for the barbecue and the table on the terrace were extremely dirty. The meat for the barbecue dripped so much that I lost my appetite, so I barely touched the barbecue ingredients and bought and ate cup ramen. And there was no explanation at all when we checked in. There was really no explanation. We checked in at Chozue no Toki, but they didn't even tell us where the property was, so we had to find it by guesswork while looking at Google Maps. Also, even though I made a reservation with dinner and breakfast, they didn't tell me the meal times, or even if meals were included, so I was very worried when I paid the fee at check-in. There was no contact information written anywhere in the room in case something happened, so if something happened, we had to look up the outside number of Chozue no Toki on the Internet and call from our cell phones. It was almost 10 o'clock, and they still hadn't brought us breakfast, so we called Chozue no Toki from our cell phones and they said they would bring it in 5 minutes. I guess they have a system where they don't bring food unless you pay the phone charge and call from your cell phone. I don't understand. Anyway, there are amazing traces of the previous people in everything. The website says it is as comfortable as a hotel, so if you look at the website and mistakenly assume that it is of hotel quality, you will have a very unpleasant experience. For some reason there are almost no bad reviews, but I wonder if they are manipulating it. I can't help but suspect that it is so bad. I really wasted my precious time and money. If I'm going to pay 150,000 yen and have to go through this, a private lodging would be more comfortable. I only regret using it for our anniversary. It is the worst lodging in the history of my life. Not only will I never use it again, but I don't even want to remember it."
