"It's been almost 10 years now since my first stay at Pingjiang Lodge, and it's still my go-to hotel whenever I visit Suzhou without fail. The location is excellent, right near Pingjiang Road, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling city. The hotel's own Banyuan Garden is a perfect spot for relaxation – ordering a cup of tea and listening to some Pingtan storytelling always puts me in a great mood. Although the staff changes over time, what remains constant is their warm and soft-spoken welcome, whether it's the manager, the cleaning staff, or the front desk receptionists, always making you feel delighted! I look forward to our next encounter and many more years of companionship!"

"I originally thought I'd enjoy the last bit of warm autumn in Suzhou, but who knew it would suddenly get cold two days before I arrived? Luckily, this hidden gem of a B&B had warm, cozy duvet covers, so it wasn't cold at all at night. My friend even praised the room's amenities, saying they definitely matched a five-star hotel. Not only were the toiletries effective and smelled great, but the comb was one of those air-cushioned types that doesn't snag hair at all. Full marks for their product selection! Plus, the B&B's location is super close to Pingjiang Road. We went early in the morning to photograph the bridges and flowing water, and there were hardly any people. The evening lights were also beautiful. Finally, I have to commend all the staff at the B&B. Everyone was so warm and friendly, offering service that wasn't forced but rather a subtle, gentle care. My friend and I really had a great time this trip, and we'll definitely be back!"

"Walking distance from train station BUT very easily missed as the entrance is along an alleyway. Recommend to take Didi to the place as the path from the station is very uneven, making it a hassle for luggages. Room size depends on which room you get. If you get the room that’s not in the main building, it can be quite small (and slightly old). Location wise, its very convenient as it’s walking distance to Suzhou’s attraction. Will recommend if you’re staying for a short period."

"Upon seeing online that the Lamborghini Scriptorium Hotel offered lake-view rooms, I eagerly made a booking. We were visiting Suzhou Museum with our child during the last few days of summer vacation. Arriving at the hotel, we were immediately captivated by its exquisite garden features. The staff's warm and attentive service further put us completely at ease. In particular, Yuki and Grace stood out for their professional and enthusiastic service, always going the extra mile for guests. Our room boasted upscale facilities and offered a comfortable, home-like ambiance. The spacious lake-view balcony provided expansive views and was literally right by the water, allowing us to see the boardwalk stretching into the lake from our vantage point. It was also incredibly convenient to take a stroll downstairs to the iconic Gate of the Orient, which could even be photographed directly from the hotel. Both the hotel's own Chinese restaurant and Su Mian Fang (Suzhou Noodle House) offered excellent quality dining. If I have the chance to visit Suzhou again, I would definitely choose this hotel and its lake-view rooms. The only minor drawback was the relatively small size of the hotel's swimming pool. However, as the hotel is part of the same group as the Crown Plaza, the staff enthusiastically arranged for us to use the Crown Plaza's pool. Their outdoor pool, open during summer, offered truly magnificent views of the lake and the Gate of the Orient!"

"Great hotel the location is amazing and very quiet meaning no cars or scooters. But super close to everything I needed. The hotel is very clean and mango was a great front desk she was very friendly. The rooms have everything I needed and super new. They provide free alcohol and free drinks in the rooms. Very clean and new and friendly staff! Had a great experience as I stayed in most of the time due to the rain. Which was nice to have a great breakfast and bar with live music."

"My two-day stay was generally very pleasant. Front desk agent Xiao Zhang collected a package for me, and when I checked in, front desk agent Xiao Ze handed it to me. The service was excellent. ”There was just one issue, and the call was disconnected within a minute. I hope the hotel will take care of this.” The hotel also gave me breakfast coupons for two days, but it was too early to use them. 😔 Opening the door to the room, it was huge. The amenities and bedding were on par with a five-star hotel. The next day, I ordered takeout, but it was too hot to go downstairs. The cleaning lady, Aunt Wang Jirong, kindly took it for me. (I hope the hotel will improve its robots soon.) Cleaning was also very quick; it was done in the blink of an eye."

"A perfect spontaneous getaway. The hotel service was exceptional. Upon check-in, they even added us on WeChat, and were incredibly responsive to any reasonable request. From the front desk staff to the housekeeping team, everyone was incredibly efficient and genuinely warm. A special shout-out to the lady at the breakfast pancake station, who warmly recommended a delicious chicken pancake. It was so truly exceptional, I devoured it before I could even snap a photo! When the noodle chef wasn't around, she even went to help at the noodle bar. What a wonderfully enthusiastic and hardworking 'busy bee'! This hotel is a real gem, and I'll definitely be back!"

"A great hotel like this definitely deserves a shout-out! Before my trip, I'd read some reviews that left me with a slightly negative impression. However, upon actual check-in, I was extremely satisfied. This is, after all, an established luxury five-star hotel, and it truly excels in every aspect! Let's start with the facilities. While the hotel certainly has some age, its original decor and design are incredibly robust and have stood the test of time beautifully. It's impeccably maintained, offering understated luxury without being ostentatious. The rooms are incredibly spacious, especially the bathrooms. Breakfast was also excellent, predominantly Chinese style, and perfectly showcased the unique flavors of Suzhou's local morning cuisine. Definitely a must-try! The hotel boasts a superb location, diagonally opposite the Suzhou Municipal Government, making it incredibly convenient to hail a taxi. With numerous attractions nearby, it's an excellent choice for a weekend getaway! While the food selection at the Executive Lounge wasn't extensive, there was certainly enough to feel satisfied. A quick note: the Executive Lounge does not serve lunch during midday, so please be aware. Overall, it was an excellent stay with unbeatable value for money!"

It was a luxurious affair with a mix of international and local flavors that kept us coming back for more. The chefs clearly took pride in their craft, and it showed in every dish. Overall, our stay at the Novotel Suzhou was filled with wonderful moments, from relaxing in the hot springs to enjoying family time at the pool and playground. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting family memories, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!"
