XXiaoxiaosu2017The house is located right in the heart of Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, a very scenic and traditional area. When you open the door, there's a clear path straight to the window, and from there, you get a picturesque view of the river right outside, with a bridge in the distance and shops on the opposite bank. It really captures that classic 'small bridge, flowing water, and local homes' vibe. The room itself was quite clean, and the owner was incredibly welcoming. We're a family of three, and they thoughtfully provided an extra comforter for us without us even asking.

LLea HanisEverything about this little stay was amazing. Location wise its was close to ShanTang Street. So much to see there! Cleanliness was great, the room provided had everything we need. Services from staff was excellent, he was kind enough to help with our bags, Wechat us a list of things and places to visit around the area. He was super quick to respond when we needed help 💯 He even prepared fruits & water for us when we checked in. Will definitely stay here again if I am ever in Suzhou. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay.

Aan9ie928The landlady was very warm and hospitable! During our stay, she added us on social media and gave us a detailed map showing us how to get to the hotel. Although the hotel isn't large, with only six rooms, the layout was very practical. Even after opening two large suitcases, there was still plenty of space to move around. The rooms were also very cozy and felt like home! If I have the chance to visit Suzhou again, I'll definitely choose your place again! 💕

MMagieEhThe inn-style style and service were excellent. I stayed in a room with a balcony and eaves on the third floor, which was quite unique. The bathroom had plenty of sunlight, the bedding and other items in the room were odor-free, and the roof and floor were very clean. Typically, inns aren't soundproof, but this alley was quiet and perfect for a rest. The location is a five-minute walk from the ancient theater and easy to spot. Because you have to go upstairs, it's more recommended for backpackers. The balcony is a great place to dry clothes and enjoy a drink, but the lighting is insufficient at night, and the view isn't great. The downside is that the bathroom didn't have towels, but I'm used to using disposable towels, so that was fine. Finally, there was a thick layer of dust behind the bathroom door. While you can't step on it, it still needs to be cleaned. 😆

GGuest UserThis inn is in such a beautiful location. I only stayed one night, but definitely want to come back and stay longer. The host was warm and friendly. We connected on WeChat the day before and she provide a waypoint for gps when booking a car. She met up with me in the pedestrian street outside of the town’s gate to guide me in and helped with the luggage. The location is very convenient. This is an ancient town so the street surfaces are stone slabs and uneven cobblestones. But going in is mostly smooth, cross one bridge and the inn is right there, about as close to the entrance and as least hassle as you can get. The waterway in front of the inn is travelled by the row boats whether they’re on the day or evening tour route so there’s plenty to people watch from the balcony. Overall a great place, great host, and highly recommended. Little tip, if you can store luggage at the airport or train station, take only what you need for your stay so you don’t have too much luggage to weigh you down for the trek in and out. The balcony rooms are walkup only.

The hotel is also situated next to a temple, but unfortunately, the temple is currently under renovation and not open to tourists.
One issue to note is the presence of mosquitoes, so be sure to bring insect repellent.
Zhouzhuang offers a stunning night view — highly recommended! Don’t miss the boat ride; it costs 220 yuan per ride and can accommodate up to 6 people, including infants.

GGuest UserWhen i arrive at 7pm, there is no receptionist, this hotel is a self checkin type, but i got lucky that i meet a aunty that help me to contact the receptionist and gave me the room password (the room use a smartdoor with self checkin type)
It is located inside of Tongli ancient town, so if you like a quite place and want to feel to live like a locals, this is a good option

GGallleyaThis is the best hotel we stayed in during our trip to China. We lived in a separate house. It's quiet and cozy there. The air conditioner works well for heating.
The hostess is very friendly and kind. When we got lost during check-in, she herself came for us. Also thanks to the man who helped us when leaving the hotel.
Comfortable bathroom, good beds, spacious room. I highly recommend it!

449GrenThe Hantu Hotel is in an ok location - it isn’t too far from either Suzhou North Railway Station nor from Suzhou Railway Station. However, the nearest subway station is a little far to walk - around 20 mins.
However, service was excellent here - the boss was very kind and helpful, and the cleaning service was regular. The bed was comfortable, and hot water was in constant supply in the bathroom. The amenities provided were good too, having a kettle, shampoo, and body wash. Hand wash was however lacking by the sink.
Cleanliness perhaps left a little to be desired - my room had seen better days with peeling wallpaper and some stains on the wallpaper too. That being said, it wasn’t such a problem as to make me uncomfortable especially given the affordability of the place.
Thank you for an enjoyable stay!
