City of Manila Hotels with Kitchens

"It was very bad to start with. They gave us a very dirty room. Had cockcriaches.. bad deco, safe was broken and the clock was not working. I had to change the room after 3days of living in that room it was very disgusting. I was scared to walk around the room. The balcony doors wouldn't close properly in both rooms so the air conditioning was not effective enough. Also found previous tenants dirty knickers on the balcony floor and when I complained they said maybe clean knickers and did not send any one to remove them from the balcony. Definitely a 1/5 for the room and service in this situation. There was cockcroach prevention houses all over the place and was bitten by lots of mosquitoes and the kitten was dirty in places. They asked for a 2k peso deposit refundable which is fine but I had to pay in cash which in the end I had to go find an atm which was inconvenient and I had to walk about 10min from the hotel because they had no visa card services, being a hotel with 50 floors that was very bad management for their hotel infrastructure for international clients. The restaurant down the street and also the Korean restaurant in the lobby both had visa card machines yet a hotel couldn't do that. Overall the service after few days was much better. The manager Mohammed and workers Charles and Michael started to help make my stay more better which was refreshing and we built good relations. So in the end the last few days was more better. If it was like this from the start then I would definitely give a 4/5."

"I recommend this hotel for a weekend getaway near south of Manila. It’s near SM MOA, Ikea, Parqal, and other Manila Bay establishments. The room is small and does not have a view, but it is complete. The room has mini fridge, microwave oven, study desk, safety deposit box, hair dryer, bedroom slippers, and two (daily) free bottles of water. The toiletries include shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothbrush, and body soap. We stayed for 3 nights, but the slippers were not changed and we had to request for towels (they quickly provided though). The highlight of our stay is the breakfast. They changed the food everyday, but I recommend that you try the pancakes and the noodle station."

"The hotel is clean, it has no elevator so if you book a room upstairs you need to ask the service to help you to bring your suitcase up for you. There are cockroaches but that is to be expected in a tropical city. The surroundings aren't nice unless you cross over to Ayala malls"

"If you are sensitive to aircon noise, then their room may not be most suitable for you. The hotel's aircon is kind of noisy and on the 1st night I feedbacked and they offered to send an technician. It did help for a short while but afterwards it seems like the noise went back to as usual. I also discovered it was a dripping a little after the technician left. The staff mentioned the aircon noise is the same in all rooms due to the type of aircon it is. Knowing myself and based on past experience, I would not be able to enjoy the next few nights of stay and so I moved to another nearby hotel the next day and I'm so glad I made this decision. It was non refundable sadly but I could allow friends to stay the remaining nights in my name which was great. The room soundproofing can be improved as I could hear someone talking on the phone next door in the early morning and it was hard to get enough rest. My room was facing the main road and the train track so I could hear a bit of train noise but its not too loud and the road's traffic noise is minimal too at 9th floor. As for cafe menu, it would be good to have more options. They have some dim sum (yay!), asian and western foods. Their cafe service can be better improved too in terms of attitude and friendliness. You'll have to request for room service menu if you want to order from the room. It would be better at check in if the front desk asked if room service menu is needed and so they can send it up to save time. Hotel is clean, looks modern and I like the room's lighting variety too. Their security is tight and if you have a visitor who needs to park at the hotel, they'll have to provide the guest's room number. Good to register yours or your visitor's car plate number at check in to save time. The Mrt station is just about 5-7 min walk and they have a convenience store next door and across which is convenient as they charge from the 3rd bottle of water. The pool looks great and friends who stayed on my behalf enjoyed it. Hope this helps! 🧡"

"The location is good, close to Intramuros and the coast. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from the station, but it's a nice walk to see the city. There's a large supermarket nearby and a 7-Eleven, which is very convenient. Many of the staff were very kind. Thanks to them, I had a pleasant stay, which really made up for any shortcomings of the hotel. The doorman who opened the door for me every day even stopped an Uber taxi for me at the end and opened the door. He was very pleasant, and I left feeling good. Thank you. Breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the omelets made fresh every day were delicious, and since it was a buffet, I was able to eat my fill. For this price, there's even a small gym, so I think the cost-performance is good. From here on, I'll list the downsides, but even with those, I still felt it was good value for money (again, thanks to the kind staff). The hotel is old and dusty. My room had no view from the window. The strange doll on the bedside lamp was a mystery (lol). The room was reasonably spacious, and the air conditioning worked great. However, when you remove the key card, everything turns off, so it gets hot again when you go out. There are no amenities at all, so I recommend bringing your own from home. There's no box of tissues either. There's only one roll of toilet paper, so if you use it as tissue, you'll run out. For towels, there's only a bath towel; no face towel. Maybe you can ask the front desk for a toothbrush? The toilet is the kind where you shouldn't flush paper. Please be careful."

"Perfect location for Poblacion or Glorietta Malls! The staff were super friendly and helpful. I was surprised how the room is like a regular studio apartment with kitchen area (microwave, induction stove and stuff) but is actually a full fledged hotel."

"We are two people, so when booking the hotel we clearly saw that it was stated as a 1.5-meter queen bed, and we paid based on that information. However, after checking in, we found that the bed was only about 1.1 meters wide. It was simply impossible for two people to sleep comfortably. We went to the front desk to report the issue, but the staff only said that there were no other rooms available, and that the bed size was just like this. This is blatant consumer deception. We had no choice but to squeeze together and endure one night, which was extremely uncomfortable. On top of that, both the sink faucet and the shower were broken. The hotel itself is clean, but the service is very poor. If there is no 1.5-meter bed, then it should not be advertised as such. If it is advertised, it should be honored. No one likes the feeling of being misled or deceived."

"it was a superb experience, really worth it’s five star rating. the staffs are all friendly, approachable and accommodating. All of our requests have been taken care off. There was a slight problem dining in the Roofdeck restaurant but they gave us free food to compensate. the view is spectacular, the breakfast is great. This is also our first time staying in a hotel with a large smart tv so you can have a chill netflix night with your friends and family. this is highly recommended"

"We had a pleasant stay overall and truly appreciated the warm hospitality of the staff. Everyone was very nice, approachable, and accommodating. The food was good, and the facilities and amenities met our expectations. There were just a couple of minor concerns. Parking space for guests with cars is limited, and while there are parking options outside the property, these come with additional fees. We also experienced a small issue with the air conditioner one night, it was set to “cool” mode but felt like it was only blowing air, so we had to turn it off and on again to get it working properly. These were manageable concerns and did not significantly affect our experience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, would recommend the place, and would gladly visit again."

"Staying at City Garden Suites Manila turned out to be a great choice for exploring the historic side of Manila. The location is very convenient — just a short distance from Rizal Park, Intramuros, and shopping areas like Robinsons Place Manila. It made moving around the city easy without long travel time. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, perfect for resting after a full day of walking around Manila. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the staff — they were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help. If you’re looking for a hotel that balances comfort, location, and affordability, this is definitely a good option when staying in Manila."
