My stay here far exceeded my expectations. The room was spotlessly clean, with meticulous attention to detail everywhere. The mattress was just right – neither too soft nor too firm – and the soundproofing was excellent, making for a wonderfully quiet night. Check-in at the front desk was quick and smooth, and the staff were polite and responsive to all requests. The location is superb, making dining and getting around very convenient. Overall, it felt cozy and secure, making it a top choice for accommodation in this city. I've already recommended it to friends and look forward to staying again.

The bougainvillea in the courtyard is absolutely beautiful, and the environment is very comfortable. You can play billiards and table tennis here. The food in the restaurant is also delicious. It's quite close to Green Lake and the subway station, making it convenient for getting around.

This is my second time choosing the Grand Park Hotel by Cuihu Lake, having stayed in Kunming a few times. The location is truly a 'hidden gem' – No. 20 Honghua Bridge, within a ten-minute walk to the Yunnan Military Academy, Yunnan University, and Wenlin Street. You can even see the shimmering waters of Cuihu Lake from your window. It's a well-established five-star hotel; while it's older, it's well-maintained. The solid wood furniture and ethnic patterned carpets give it a distinct Yunnanese vibe, rather than a trendy, 'influencer-style' aesthetic. The extra-long windows in the room are a highlight. This hotel is perfect for city walks around the Cuihu Lake area, for those traveling with seniors, or guests who prefer not to change locations frequently. However, if you're looking for brand-new facilities or an 'Instagrammable' pool, you might want to consider other options.

Location: Right in the heart of the city center, making it super convenient for shopping, exploring, and hitting all the tourist spots – all within walking distance! It's a really lively area. Facilities: This is a new hotel, and it's quite clean. The rooms must be disinfected after each guest, as I could smell a slight hint of bleach 😊 Service: Parking at the hotel isn't very convenient; it's in a building across the street. However, I was really touched when I called the front desk because I had too much luggage and couldn't find the elevator. Two lovely ladies from the front desk immediately came over to the parking lot to help me with my bags. Their service-mindedness is truly commendable!

Facilities: An established hotel, no downsides to speak of. Hygiene: Didn't notice any hygiene issues. Environment: Within walking distance to Cuihu Park. Service: All staff offered service with a smile. The complimentary mineral water was excellent. I never expected to find such a value-for-money hotel near Cuihu Park!

Traveling with my parents, we received a free room upgrade. The room was clean and complimentary fruit was provided. The front desk staff, especially one young lady, was very patient and helpful. The hotel is very close to Cuihu Park and within walking distance of Kunming Old Street, which is incredibly convenient.

Five stars, highly recommended! This is an old, established state guesthouse in Kunming that you absolutely must stay at. Its heritage, views, and service are all top-notch. The location is unbeatable, directly facing Cuihu Park. Open the French windows and you're greeted with lake views and weeping willows. In autumn and winter, you can even spot red-billed gulls. Yunnan University and the Yunnan Military Academy are within walking distance, making it convenient for exploring the old city without much travel. The hotel's design was partly conceived by I.M. Pei, blending new Chinese style with retro Art Deco. The lobby's gilded lotus sculpture, rosewood carvings, and vintage staircase create an incredible ambiance. The gardens are tranquil and elegant, and every photo you take captures the unique, understated elegance of a historic five-star hotel. Service is gentle, understated, and perfectly balanced, never intrusive. Upon check-in, guests receive fresh flowers and welcome fruits, and the room is refreshed daily with Yunnan-style floral arrangements. Turndown service includes peach gum and white fungus soup, along with seagull-shaped cookies – thoughtful details that truly shine. The 24-hour butler service is on-call, and staff members politely greet guests, always professional and sincere. The room comfort exceeded expectations. The bedding is soft and plush, and the soundproofing is excellent. During the dry season, the whole-house humidity control system is a lifesaver, especially for those with allergies. The bathroom features a built-in TV in the bathtub and electric privacy glass. All mini-bar drinks are complimentary, and there's even freshly ground Yunnan small-grain coffee, adding a distinct local touch. Breakfast is served in the lake-view restaurant, offering a rich variety of authentic dishes, including freshly prepared Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles, 'posu bao' (flaky steamed buns), and rose 'naiba Jiu' (a local milky wine). Dining by the lake creates an exceptional atmosphere. The accompanying heated pool is clean and uncrowded, perfect for relaxation. Whether for business or leisure, this hotel is perfectly suited. Its century-old refined quality is irreplaceable. I will definitely choose Cuihu Hotel again on my next visit to Kunming!

The hotel's downtown location is super convenient, and the service was excellent. The washing machine worked really well too, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a great experience! I'll definitely be back, especially to explore the cultural street next to the hotel and try the mushroom hotpot nearby.

The hotel's building has plenty of parking spots in the ground-level lot; as long as you don't arrive too late, you'll likely find a space. The decor is very new, and the hygiene is excellent. I spilled some water on the floor, and when I wiped it with tissue, the paper wasn't even dirty. Both the front desk and room service staff were very good, greeting guests proactively and responding promptly. The only downside is breakfast from 7:30 to 8:00 AM, which is incredibly crowded. You have to share tables, and people cut in line for food. After 8:00 AM, it clears out significantly. This happened two days in a row. I suggest the hotel puts up a sign at the entrance to the breakfast area indicating peak times. Usually, 7:00 to 8:00 AM is less busy at hotels, so since this hotel's peak time is unusual, it would be helpful to advise guests to come at off-peak hours. However, the kitchen staff are exceptionally well-trained; they actively ask guests to queue up and instruct them not to touch the food directly.

This is arguably the best hotel for scenic views by Cuihu Lake. The hotel has a limited number of lake-view rooms facing Cuihu, offering panoramic views of the entire lake, Kunming's lake and cityscapes, mountains, and the blue sky and white clouds. The hotel's location is superb, just a five-minute walk to Cuihu Park, with other attractions like Yuantong Temple and Huangdong Street nearby. The room decor is modern and stylish, with high-end amenities. Truly the best choice around Cuihu Lake.
