"Had a wonderful stay at Pacific Hotel Cairns. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city with easy access to the Esplanade, night markets, and fun attractions like the Ferris wheel. Everything is within walking distance, which made exploring Cairns so easy and enjoyable. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Evenings around the area are lively, with great food options nearby street food vibes, and a beautiful atmosphere. Overall, a great place to stay if you want comfort, convenience, and to truly enjoy the Cairns experience. Would definitely stay here again!"
"Team was very friendly and helpful. Location is great, you have the esplanade close by as well as all the touristic thing. We had a great sleep thanks to their very comfy bed and quiet street, bathroom need some upgrading but you still have all the necessities bathtub and all. The pool was close for renovation but the lagoon at the esplanade is well worth the walk. Would definitely go back :)"
"I really like this hotel very clean very nice the hospitality is very good I really like it and they are so welcome welcome us the staff are very good they are very polite with us and very general I really love the room it was very good and big"
"Great stay, easy access to the city. Hostel was clean and had nice facilities, especially the sunroom. Everything is done digitally (access to doorways or rooms on a QR code) which is not that convenient but you don’t risk losing a loose room key."
"I’ve stayed in other backpackers before, and I’m really surprised by how clean and organized this place is. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely impressive. I stayed for 4 days, and for 3 of them everything was very clean. The kitchen has everything you need — I even used the mini oven to make homemade pizza. There’s also a pool, laundry, and tables and chairs outside where you can study or relax during summer. The 6-bed female room had its own fridge and a locker for each person. The room was very clean, and they provided a towel and a blanket. I was lucky to share the room with very tidy girls during my first three days, so it stayed just as clean as when we arrived. The staff were also really nice and calm. Overall, considering the price and that it’s a backpacker hostel, it’s excellent — 10/10!"

Great
GGuest UserThe atmosphere of the hotel was relaxed and family-friendly, the staff were fast, polite and attentive. The location is very convenient, within a few minutes walk to the pier, night market and supermarket, etc. Restaurants are all around, you can also find some massage shops nearby, easy to get to anywhere we need to, a very satisfying stay during our Christmas break.
GGuest UserGood vibes- near to Esplanade and rooms with sea view include the beautiful flyer, that made the stay colourful! For the foot spa and facial, the staff was friendly. Also beside the Night market and walking distance to train station, about 15-20mins walk.
GGuest UserWe loved our stay at this hotel. We enjoyed the swimming pool so much. Room is clean and spacious with a lovely view over the balcony. The vibe at both bars is excellent reminding me I am in a holiday. Our room is in front of an elevator, so it is a bit noisy on the morning when people go down to the restaurant. The breakfast didn't meet my expectations. Sometimes food didn't get refilled fast enough. There is room for improvement.
GGuest UserI really grew to like this hotel. Immaculately clean rooms, crispy clean linen and towels, fast top level room service, great choice for buffet breakfast. A real sized swimming pool, and free ev charging in the underground parking. As a bit of advice - do pay that little bit extra for an ocean view room, if you plan to spend any time in you unit, it makes a huge difference.
GGuest UserBeautiful location, clean and thoughtfully designed room and bathroom. The amenities are all provided and the team is very professional. Nearby Esplanade, cafes, Woolworths. Parking spots are often available in front of the property on the street.
GGuest UserLovely hotel located at the other end of the Esplanade. The broad walk at the back of the hotel was nice to stroll along and an easy way to get to the city center. Kudos to the reception staff, Riccardo for leaving a really good first impression when I first arrived. He was so clear in explaining everything I needed to know before I checked in, and subsequent days when I saw him he was also really helpful with whatever requests I had. The room was big and spacious, very comfy beds!! The housekeeping staff were also friendly whenever I saw them as I head out for the day. Food from the room service was tasty. However, the breakfast buffet options were almost the same everyday though, wish there could have been more variety. But overall, I still had a rather pleasant stay here(:
DDollmeisterOkay here’s my review. The Espy has so much going for it in terms of being central to the entertainment precinct of Cairns Esplanade. Check in was easy and friendly and the two bunk dorm had its own dedicated ensuite bathroom which was very clean and quite large. The bedroom was clean and the bunks were enclosed wood and steel construction with zero squeaking. Clean towel and linen provided. So that’s all the very good stuff. The not as good things I observed were: - the lounge/common areas were dimly lit, very tired (bordering on festy) furniture and not somewhere I’d socialise due to limited seating, very few power/USB outlets or clean comfortable seating. - The pool…. Or should I call it the tropical punch bowl of various biological matter and other detritus… if you’re keen of growing something fungal on your body, go in…. I decided not to. -Kitchen and meal prep area all seemed clean and safe to get your mung bean and tofu ready for consumption. - The personal under bunk locker was missing its latch and with two roommates I had to say a little prayer that my gear would be safe inside my enclosed bunk. Overall this was my maiden voyage as a backpacker and at 57 years of age, I’ve stayed in a lot of Hotels and Motels costing far more for way less cleanliness. I rate this place highly for all the good reasons above. The not so good stuff is easily fixed by management but for $65 per night in peak season, I don’t think you can get any better value in Central Cairns right near the action. Pubs, cafes, night market and the City Lagoon. Thanks Espy crew, you made this old dog’s stay a pleasant one and will be back if and when the opportunity presents itself.
MMathew FaltasGreat price for peak time (booking early). Room was spacious and clean, a bit dated but otherwise comfortable for a short stay. Front desk very friendly and accommodating.
GGuest UserThe location is really convenient with lots of restaurants around. We like the Ben &Jerry round the corner of the hotel, we always visit there before returning to Hotel.
