This hotel has a charm and quality that far exceeds its official four-star rating, and I firmly believe it deserves a fifth star. From the moment I entered, I was struck by the beautiful, character-filled decor. The hotel masterfully blends historic charm with modern comfort, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. This sense of character extends to the rooms, which are impeccably clean and spacious. The excellence began at check-in with the wonderfully helpful and efficient receptionist service. Every staff member I encountered was professional and genuinely dedicated to ensuring a perfect stay. The breakfast was another highlight, offering a wide and delicious selection of hot and cold items that provided the perfect start to each day of exploration. It is clear that the management is doing an excellent job. The seamless operation, the motivated staff, and the meticulous attention to detail throughout the property speak volumes about their leadership. A final note on the location: Zaragoza itself is an amazing city, a captivating blend of history, culture, and vibrant local life. For better or worse, it remains wonderfully off-the-beaten-track for the majority of travelers, making it a truly authentic Spanish discovery. Combining this incredible city with a hotel of such high caliber makes for an unforgettable trip. I would not hesitate to return and cannot recommend the Catalonia El Pilar highly enough

GGuest UserArrived on a Saturday afternoon on the hottest day. Welcome service with a smile. Two night stay. Clean room, good amenities. Free coffee available 24 hours a day. Great position to cross the bridge over to the cathedral. Perfect location. Breakfast around the corner next to Mercadona. 7 tapas for 6€. Perfect. Would certainly stay again.

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is accessible by public transportation by bus from Zaragoza Train Station, and nearby sightseeing spots are within walking distance. The cleanliness and comfort made me smile. Even though I am not fluent, I felt like they were waiting for me and trying to help me even when I tried to communicate in a mixture of English and Spanish. Even when checking out, he showed me my train ticket and when I was worried, he left my luggage and even made a time plan! Service is the best. This is one of the best accommodations I would like to return to during my current trip to Spain!

GGuest UserDid not realize there was more than one NH in Zaragoza so went to wrong one. Staff at the Gran were outstanding from reception to bellhop to car park attendees to breakfast. Shame rooftop is not utilized for a pool / sun deck. The Gran would have been impressive in it's day but is in need of renovation. Location great. Stayed 4 nights.

The rooms with just enough furniture, IKEA style, with two beds and two small tables as bedside tables, and a TV. That if new. The old bathroom is not renovated.
It shows that it is a hotel for stag parties for the price and the location. During my weekend, groups of young people with bachelor parties did not stop coming and going. Infernal noise, bad drunkenness and even vomiting in the corridor.

GGuest UserVery comfortable stay! Very clean and spacious room and bathroom. Safe and spacious underground parking which was included in the room price. There was a coined laundry room but I didn’t use it. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was in a truck park so it’d be better if you have a car.

GGuest UserAmazing staff, great location, comfortable rooms and great air conditioning, which is very important with high temperatures in Spain Unfortunately not all smokers respect the law, but the reception moved me to another room, which made my stay more pleasant.
