Amazing
AAnonymous UserThe place located a bit far from Vangvieng city center but it's a perfect place for staycation. We went there on week day so there's not a lot of people stay in the hotel which is very good for our group. Hotel have a wonderful view of mountain and river for us to just sit and stair at it, but if you prefer to swim can go ahead! Staff are very friendly and ready to help, 100% satisfy with all service. We contacted hotel staff before our visit so they turn on the AC ready before our arrival. We also met two lovely siberian husky there too!

Great
TTuristRUPerfect. Clean. The pool is nice, the water is clean. The shower is excellent. The air conditioning works great. There's a large common area. Lots of young people. There's space for bikes. They sell cheap fruit nearby. There were no towels, but I brought my own. There's a place outside on the second floor where you can dry your clothes; there are plenty of clotheslines. However, at midnight, they turn off the lights in the common area. The administrator goes to sleep in the basement. I asked for a knife to cut fruit, but they didn't give me one. I had to buy one at 7/11, it's nearby, and then they took it away at the train station. The breakfast is excellent. You can see the hot air balloons from the second floor, but they're very far away.

Great
GGuest UserFeel like having fresh mango for breakfast? The fruit selection at the buffet is epic. They have fresh coffee and mango smoothies. The rooms are beautiful, amazing view, bottled water, toothbrushes, even face towels. Quiet air conditioning and there's a ceiling fan too. The beds are comfortable - we got a triple room with 3 single beds- and the power points are right next to the beds. Overall, our favourite hotel for the trip. Oh and the pool is great. We spent an afternoon drinking beer on the beach chairs and swimming. *We got our own tuktuk back to the train station for 30k each instead of the 50k offered by the hotel.

Jjns02Great Value with Excellent Service & Prime Location The room was clean and comfortable for the price—definitely not a luxury hotel, but the service felt luxurious! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the receptionist went above and beyond to help, even arranging a tuk-tuk for me to the railway station at checkout. One of the best perks was the convenience—the hotel offers bike and scooter rentals, as well as a variety of day tours. Whether you're interested in paramotoring, hot air balloon rides, kayaking, hiking, or exploring caves and lagoons, they’ve got you covered. If you’d rather book elsewhere, the location is perfect, with plenty of tour operators right next door. The area is packed with different restaurants, and my personal favorite, the night market, was just steps away. There are also several laundry services nearby, making longer stays hassle-free. The only downside was noise—the walls and doors are a bit thin, so you might hear doors closing or noisy neighbors. My room was on the first floor (right side), so if you're a light sleeper, I’d recommend requesting a quieter spot away from high-traffic areas. Overall, a fantastic stay for the price, with outstanding service and an unbeatable location! ps. You can also enjoy a quick swim by the pool before going to your room!

AAnnaVichThis hotel was a bit of a mixed bag for us. Here is what worked and what didn't. Pros: Views: The property is stunning. It's wonderful to wake up and have the spectacular view that this hotel offers. The rice paddies are beautiful, surrounded by the karst landscapes. Breakfast: Server artfully and tasted very good. The coffee is great. That said, there is little choice and you can't ask for any extras (you will be charged). Location: Across from the main town, but we enjoyed it and everything is easily accessible. We walked, but they offer bicycles as well. Cons: Rooms: We booked a standard room which isn't on the rice fields. We knew this and didn't expect the view from our room. However, at the price point, we expected comfort and good sleep. The rooms are built over a swamp and mosquitoes get in through the cracks in the wooden floors. They had plug ins and provide mosquito spray to remedy this. However, the swamp is also home to many insects and frogs that make an incredible amount of noise at night. On top of this, there is a road right in front, so you get car noise too. Long story short, we asked to change to a quieter room or check out after our first night. The first offer was to pay $40 more to upgrade to a villa, but eventually they moved us there for free, which we appreciated. The villas are certainly quieter though still quite rustic. Service: Due to the above incident, while the service staff is lovely, the management appears to be just ok. Price/quality: Considering the priced in Laos, everything inside the hotel costs a lot but it's not a 5 star property, so things don't really match up. Ultimately, we had a nice experience once we were in the villa and were able to sleep. I'd recommend staying here for one night in the villa for the views or coming for a drink. But id not stay longer or choose the standard room.

MMqondisiI didn’t get to swim because I had such a busy itinerary however the stuff was amazing! And the hotel was ok however they need to clean the bathroom, it smells like piss! I think people just pee on the floor, the hotel room is better when the door is closed. You can travel around with ease to do activities.

NNicola DawnWe booked this knowing some of the reviews were not good and fully aware of what we were paying, so always take reviews with a pinch of salt. On arrival we were given our room, the bed was rock hard (never had anything like it), the room was in the top corner next to the road and we could hear chickens, people walking into the hotel and bikes/cars. Dreadful night sleep. In the morning we realized we had booked a Bungalow and so asked to be moved to what we had booked. We were allowed to select between 34 an 35. 35 was the better of the two. Bed was still rock hard but we were further from the noise. However the sink water did not drain it just poured onto the floor (worst thing I’ve ever experienced). By day 3 we had to ask for the room to be cleaned as wasn’t done every day. We had to ask for towels each day too. The breakfast was similar to other places in this price bracket.. eggs, toast and coffee from a packet. The pool was lovely and very clean and grounds were nice. We also rented bicycles which were great to explore some of the further away places. I think with some much needed TLC, a lick of paint here and there and more effort into cleaning this could be a great place to stay.
