"The hotel is about a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport, which is true and very convenient. You're greeted with live music at the entrance. Security is present: security checkpoints, baggage scanning, and guards with dogs. The hotel has its own beach and three entrances to the sea. The water is crystal clear, fish swim right off the shore, and life jackets are free. The hotel is very family-friendly. There are water slides, a kids' club, and a huge playroom. You can even leave your child with a nanny (for an additional fee). There are daily activities for both children and adults, including arcade machines, air hockey, and morning yoga. Breakfast is included, and it's excellent. There are two restaurants, a huge selection of food, and everything is delicious. Even ice cream is included. After breakfast, children are given marbles—a small change, but a nice touch. Lunch and dinner are extra. There are Italian and Cantonese restaurants, as well as various buffets. There are bars on the beach, by the pool, and in the lobby. Live music plays in the evening, creating a great atmosphere. The grounds are vast: golf, mini-golf, tennis, billiards, table tennis, and badminton. Wi-Fi works great throughout the property. The staff is very friendly. The main drawback is the renovations; they need a refresh. However, the service and infrastructure are still excellent."

"Exceptional service! From the guard , lobby staffs, receptionist & house keeping & restaurant staffs are all Amazing , very attentive always serve you with a smile , courteous and kind. They upgraded me in a suite back in December 20 25 so now we booked that exact same, they put me into last year. Good food, clean pools very safe for kids as I'm traveling with my niece and son they both enjoyed as always. Thanks Movenpick your staffs are really exceptional."

"The entire resort consists of 1-2 story buildings, giving it a real vacation vibe away from the bustling city. The staff were incredibly friendly throughout our stay. You do have to be patient with the slower service, like dishes being served, which is common in the Philippines, but then again, we were there to enjoy a 'slow-paced life.' If you want your room cleaned quickly, you'll need to call the front desk specifically, otherwise, it typically won't be done until after 3 PM."

"The hotel is about a 30-minute drive from the airport. While the location is a bit secluded, the resort offers complete facilities, so you don't necessarily need to leave. It boasts a private beach, and right next door is a public beach with a pier, making boat trips and diving very convenient. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but they have a different theme every day, so it doesn't feel monotonous. It's worth noting that the resort doesn't have a tipping culture, which is quite rare for Southeast Asia."

"Hrmmm this one is a tricky one as we had a few unexplained situations. Firstly, the hotel itself was previously a Marriot 5-Star back in the day prior to be taken over in 2018 by the Seda Group. Secondly, there is so much ongoing renovation and construction that you need to be aware of; Noise coming from New Construction, the in hotel pool is unavailable from Feb-2025 and guests must walk across the street to another organisation's pool. Unfortunately this was a deal breaker for us. The food was average with cheaper and better tasting food located just minutes away by walking through the carpark. Overall the guest lounge (located on level 12) is a bonus but is super budget, not 4-Star Material. P.S. There is no rooftop bar, only a lounge overlooking a construction site. P.S.S The House of Lechon is 5 mins by Grab which is a plus."

"Really lovely hotel - big spacious rooms, polite, kind staff, Skybar, pool bar, coffee shop and various restaurants. We enjoyed it so much we rebooked. Great Ac and WiFi. Delighted"

"The hotel is located on a private island. Getting there isn't too difficult, but all the main attractions (sardines, sharks, canyoneering) are quite a distance away. This hotel seems to have been designed for guests who don't want to leave it – a small 'Bounty island' vibe. But it didn't quite hit the mark. The staff here are constantly smiling. As soon as they see you, they drop what they're doing to greet you. During meals, they approach you every minute to ask questions and tell you about the free 'entertainment' planned for the day. Honestly, it's annoying and doesn't match the status the hotel clearly aims for. In a good hotel, staff are incredibly helpful yet discreet. Here, they can't even clean the room without being noticed. However, you can tell they've been trained this way, rather than it being their natural work style. So, if they were trained differently, these young people would significantly improve the service quality. Also, don't expect quick responses or help from anyone. It's better to go directly to reception and sort things out yourself. That's the most effective way, otherwise, you might drown in a Kafkaesque castle with a British surrealist twist. The room we stayed in was magnificent in terms of size and cleanliness. The shower wasn't working well, but they replaced it quickly. When walking around the room, the wardrobe wobbles and makes noise, but these are minor issues. I noticed signs of wood-boring insects in the safe cabinet, but didn't see the insects themselves, so they didn't cause any trouble. Food. The food here is very poor, compared to all the other places I've visited in the Philippines. A hotel aiming for a high rating shouldn't be serving microwaved store-bought pizza at such a price. If the food is cooked properly (grilled chicken breast, for example), it's invariably oversalted or overspiced. Or both at once. I couldn't find a single dish on the menu that was worth its price or genuinely tasty, except perhaps for the scrambled eggs at breakfast. But that's not enough if you plan to stay on the island all day, is it? Snorkeling costs 1000 pesos per hour for the boat and 100-200 pesos for equipment (each item separate: mask, fins, aqua shoes). The hotel staff claim the equipment is new, but that's not true. Aqua shoes are essentially unavailable in adult sizes (from 40 and up, we found only two old and torn pairs). The coral reef is dying after the typhoon, but there are still beautiful spots, and my wife and I don't regret snorkeling here. Especially since it was the only activity available on the island. To sum up, this hotel might suit those who want to isolate themselves from the rest of the world for a resort-style vacation with an average level of service but rather high prices for that level."

She understood that we have an autistic child and helped arrange a higher-floor room so we could watch the Sinulog fireworks comfortably. Because of her help, we were able to enjoy an amazing view that made our experience truly memorable. Nustar is definitely one of the best places to stay in Cebu, with excellent front desk service."

There were plenty of delicious options to choose from, so everyone in the family could find something they loved. The omelette station deserves special mention: the chef was not only friendly and fast, but truly outstanding—hands down the best omelette experience I’ve had at any hotel. It sounds like a small detail, but it made mornings feel a little more special. We also tried the lunch and dinner buffets, and they were spectacular. The selection was generous, the presentation was inviting, and everything we tasted felt thoughtfully prepared. It’s the kind of buffet that actually feels like part of the vacation rather than just a convenient meal. What really stood out overall was how well the hotel works for both individuals and families. The atmosphere is relaxed and polished without being stiff, and our family enjoyed every bit of our time there. It felt easy to settle in, unwind, and just enjoy being together. Location-wise, it’s hard to beat. The hotel is right next to SM Cebu City Mall—literally just across the road—which was incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and last-minute needs. We also found it easy to get to other major malls like Ayala Center Cebu and Robinsons Galleria, so getting around for errands or leisure was never a hassle. All in all, Radisson Blu Cebu delivered on service, food, comfort, and convenience. I’d highly recommend it—especially for families looking for a reliable, enjoyable stay in Cebu."

"Kandaya resort is definitely very beautiful and clean. It offers many activities from ARV, horseback rides, archery, island hopping and many more. The breakfast is delicious and has a variety of, especially Philippine cuisine. The kayaking was our personal favorite. It’s just a long drive away from Cebu city. However, should we find ourselves that side of the world again, we will choose this resort anytime. Lastly, the room was so stylish and modern..it was just amazing. Bed is super comfortable."
