Folio properties in Osaka

I stayed here in December 2025. There was a construction site next door, which made me a bit nervous, but thankfully there wasn't much construction noise. 1. Upon entering, the hotel had an undefinable shabbiness, even more so than typical Japanese hotels. There's no proper lobby, just a front desk, and the main entrance is narrow and looks a bit old. 2. The Japanese male staff at the front desk was quite rude; he had a scowl on his face the whole time. The other foreign staff, however, were very friendly. 3. They required a photocopy of my passport at the front desk. We've stayed at 5 or 6 other hotels in Japan where they just scan the passport, but this hotel claimed they didn't have the equipment, only a photocopier. 4. The air conditioning unit in the room is on the ceiling by the window, very close to the bed, blowing directly on you, which made the air very dry. Overall, it was a pretty bad experience. Definitely the worst stay during my 12 days in Japan. 😅
