"Smile Hotel Shinsaibashi in Osaka truly exceeded my expectations, offering a five-star experience. The location is superb, right next to the bustling Shinsaibashi shopping district. Everything from shopping and dining to attractions is within easy reach, yet the hotel itself is a tranquil oasis, providing a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The cleanliness was impeccable; every corner of the room was spotless, the bedding pristine, and the bathroom gleamed. The air was fresh and pleasant. While the facilities aren't luxurious, they are complete and practical. The comfortable mattress ensured a good night's sleep, and thoughtful amenities like air conditioning and an air purifier were much appreciated. The staff were a true highlight – everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping team was warm and friendly, always greeting guests with a smile, patiently answering questions, and even hand-drawing maps to help with directions, which made me feel incredibly welcome. In summary, with its convenient location, pristine environment, excellent facilities, and attentive service, this is an outstanding choice for anyone visiting Osaka. My only regret is that this was just a stopover for me, and I only stayed for one day before heading to Kyoto. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Osaka."

"The room was quite clean. Check-in was a bit of a hassle; I had to fill out a bunch of information and upload photos. The door doesn't require a key, but you have to remember a password, which can be a bit inconvenient if you forget it. There's a small garden on the first floor, but unfortunately, there are many homeless people outside the hotel."

"The location was great, just a few minutes’ walk to a convenience store and a nearby train station, and about a 20-minute walk to Dotonbori, which made getting around very convenient. The room itself was comfortable, but only one pillow was provided. When we requested an extra pillow, we were informed that it would cost ¥500 per pillow, which was a little disappointing. We were also advised that if any items were left on the bed, the room would not be cleaned for the day, which felt quite restrictive. Overall, the hotel is well located, but guests may want to be aware of these policies before booking."

"Conveniently located at Dotonburi and about 6-7 mins walk to metro. Location is near bars and at night you will see girls and some males standing around, they won’t disturb you but will hang around getting customers into their bars. We stayed highest at level 12 so can’t hear any noise from the street. Rooms are very small and we couldn’t open our luggage at all, if you don’t mind this and the bar streets, it’s conveniently located. Also we took Namba Nankai line directly to airport so that’s nicely situated!"

"It’s a perfect option if your traveling solo, its accessible for the location and the installation and service is good. You need to be aware that you need to be quite in the bedroom area, every bed don’t have big walls to mute the silence, gladly I didn’t have any noisy neighbors on the women dorm so I slept well during my three nights there . Theres a common area for woman and other for everyone . The showers and toilets are shared but in good condition, they give you towels and sleep wear , the location is also good, near to Donbori and to the subway."

"Pictures in the reviews can't seem to capture the actual look of the hotel facilities. I was expecting the facilities and amenities to be outdated but to my surprise , it wad quite the opposite ! The beds were comfortable and electrical appliances were working perfectly. For such a cheap price, I was delighted to stay in this hotel. I would definitely return to this hotel."

"I chose this hotel near the airport the night before my flight because I had an early morning departure. I arrived for check-in around 4 PM, and as soon as I got there, I regretted not coming earlier. I should have arrived first thing in the morning to enjoy the sea view and go shopping. The sea view from downstairs is absolutely stunning, and watching the sunset on the beach in the evening was incredibly relaxing. There are many outlet brands here, enough to spend a whole day browsing, though they do close at 8 PM, so plan your time accordingly. The shopping village near the hotel also has several restaurants with decent value for money, so dining is always an option. The hotel is conveniently located right outside Exit 1 of the Rinku Town subway station. You don't even need to exit the station to get to the tower for check-in. There's a Lawson convenience store downstairs where you can grab snacks and drinks. When checking in, I pre-booked the shuttle for the next day and got my boarding pass. The next morning, I just went to the lobby of the adjacent hotel to catch the shuttle, and it was a super convenient 10-minute ride to Kansai Airport. The room was very spacious, one of the biggest I've stayed in in Japan so far. There's a living room right as you enter, a bathroom with a bathtub in the middle, and then the bedroom further inside. There was plenty of space to lay out two large suitcases. The window offers a bay view. Next time, I'd definitely consider staying for two consecutive nights to enjoy the food and shopping without any rush."

"Every time I visit Osaka, I stay here because it's incredibly convenient. Dotonbori is right across the street, offering endless options for food, drinks, and entertainment. The room size is just right, and the bedding is so comfortable that I always sleep well. There are shared bikes available for rent right outside, and the airport shuttle stop is conveniently located nearby."

"This hotel is located in Yodoyabashi, just one subway stop away from Umeda, making it incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are excellent. The lobby on the 15th floor offers expansive views, almost like a sky garden. The room itself is a bit small, and there isn't enough space to fully open a suitcase."
