Matsutake takes about 40 minutes from Sendai Station to Songdo Coast Station by Senshi Line. There is a taxi at this station. It takes about 15 minutes to get to 2250 yen by taxi. The hotel does not have a free pick-up and drop-off station service. After arriving, you can enjoy warm and thoughtful service. The whole of Matsutake is carefully built, and there is no one is not exquisite. The room is large and the facilities are high-end. The bathroom in the room has a teak barrel for hot springs. The main reception I received was a warm girl, she was really attentive, afternoon bar playing Yo-Yo Ma music, there was free tea coffee alcohol drinks provided. Japanese-style room beds early in the evening, every service is first-class, a little regret is that the dinner rhythm is a little slow, breakfast can choose Western and Japanese, I chose Japanese is very rich and nutritious. The air volume of Dajin air conditioner was adjusted to the minimum and it was still a bit loud. Later, it was turned off. I slept in many tatami mattresses and they were not very comfortable. The quality of the bedding in this house was very good. I had a good night's sleep. The hot springs are rarely very clean. In the afternoon, the outdoor pool is also equipped with fresh roses to add to the hot springs. It is commendable that this check-out is 12 o'clock. The quality is reflected everywhere in the hotel with excellent views. In short, this is a wonderful stay. experience.

Overall, I had a good experience, but a couple of things could enhance it. Since it was winter, it'd be great to have hot water in the room - washing face with cold water was a bit of a bummer. Also, preserving Japan's cultural vibe was cool, but having showers in the rooms and lifts would've made it way easier to get around, esp with luggage. Had to trek to the basement onsen daily, not ideal.

I finally got to stay at the inn I'd been longing for, and after choosing the hot spring in my room, I was able to enjoy the hot spring to my heart's content! I'd compare it to Ichinobo in Sakunami Onsen, but Sakunami Onsen had a warmer, more welcoming atmosphere, and I especially liked the food. The food in Matsushima was very stylish and tasty, but the queues were sometimes long, so I wish there were some dishes that you could serve yourself. Also, the dessert selection was too limited, and although there were a wide variety of drinks, once you ate, you wouldn't drink as much. Of course, this is subject to personal preference. The view was amazing.

Dinner and breakfast were included and was very good. Quiet location near Matsushimakaigen Station.

Nice traditional Japanese hotel. The room was conveniently located on the first floor. The only things to keep in mind there as a foreigner (very broken English at best). Using a translation device or app in your phone is essential for communication. The room we stayed did not have a private shower. If a shower is needed it will be in a communal shower area. The room does have a toilet and sink though.
