AAnonymous UserWe have stayed in many Daiwa Roynet Hotels in Japan, and we’ve trusted the Daiwa Roynet brand very much. However, the Takamatsu property is the worst we’ve experienced so far, and after this stay we will be more cautious about choosing to stay at Daiwa Roynet in the future.
The facilities are very old and urgently need refurbishment. The cleanliness of our room was also quite shocking. There was hair in the bathroom and bathtub, and hair on the pajamas they provided, as shown in the photo. There were stains throughout the room as well. The bedding used is also smaller than the bed as shown in the picture.
If you’re planning day trips to the islands, the hotel isn’t very close to the port. There are plenty of shops nearby, though, so the overall location is ok.

KKar YeeIt’s about 10 mins walk from airport bus station and 26 mins walk to the ferry terminal. On the day of our arrival, we accidentally left our bag in the bus. With the help of google translate, the hotel staff understood our problem and efficiently communicated with the bus company, we managed to get our bag eventually. There’s coin washer/dryer (¥300/wash) and free coffee/green tea in the cafe, a shared kitchen where one can heat up food and stuff. We stayed 4 nights and we have enjoyed our stay. Would love to go back again!

DDaily happyDuring my recent trip to Japan, I had the pleasure of staying at a hotel that also serves as a wedding venue — and from the moment I arrived, the level of service was simply impeccable. The staff were not only gracious and professional, but also went out of their way to assist me at every turn, despite my lack of Japanese language skills. Their warm hospitality left a lasting impression and made me feel truly welcomed and cared for.
Though the room was compact, it was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully arranged. As a solo traveler, I found the space more than sufficient — cozy, comfortable, and a fantastic value for the price. It truly struck the perfect balance between affordability and quality.
A special mention goes to the amenities: the hotel provides a well-stocked amenity station at the reception, where guests can freely pick up whatever they need — a detail that reflects the hotel’s attention to guest convenience.
While the location is a little removed from the city center, this wasn’t an issue at all for me, as I had a rental car. The added bonus? Free parking on-site, which made my stay even more convenient and budget-friendly.
Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. With its blend of elegant ambiance, exceptional service, and thoughtful touches, it became a peaceful and comfortable base for my journey — one I would gladly return to and wholeheartedly recommend to fellow travelers.

Room is super clean and breakfast is nice.
We stayed this hotel for 4 nights for a golf trip. During our stay, there were a couple issues we have with car rental companies. Staff was very kind to help in local languange conversation with call center and local police individuals to effectively get thing done. I cannot image how long it will take for us to communicate with non-Japanese lauguage... Good job Route Inn hotel.

GGuest UserThe hotel is only a few mins away on foot from JR Takamatsu station. The room (a double-bed room for a single traveler) is small and dated but in terms of cleanness and comfort, it still is quite alright. The hotel offers free drink in the lobby in the evening, which seems to be a common practice nowadays in Japan's business hotels. There are a number of restaurants nearby and the main pedestrian shopping street is also just less than 10 mins away. To sum up, if you need to be near the JR Takamatsu station or Takamastu port for a short stay, this is a very affordable choice. Reminder: if you need to catch airport bus to Takamatsu Airport in the morning, go to the starting stop which is located at the main road outside of the ferry terminals. The bus, in my experience, was fairly empty when I boarded at the starting stop, but quickly filled up after the 3rd stop and you might need to wait for the next one.

GGuest UserSince I was traveling to Takamatsu in January and April, I did a lot of comparisons and finally chose the Sanuki Shionoe Onsen Hotel. The ryokan is a bit out of the way, but it's easy to find if you're driving and have a GPS. The hotel is a relatively large, standalone building in the area, and while its exterior isn't particularly special, it has the Japanese-style onsen ryokan aesthetic that many travelers prefer. Many local Japanese tourists visit here. The guest rooms are very spacious and clean, and fully equipped. We booked two rooms, including breakfast and dinner. The price was a bit high, but dinner turned out to be a Japanese-style buffet. Although the variety wasn't as extensive as in larger, formal hotels, all the traditional Japanese dishes were available, and to our surprise, they even had teppanyaki wagyu beef! The food tasted great, and we were very satisfied. There aren't many hot springs, just one indoor and one outdoor, but the onsen water is incredibly smooth – it's the best I've soaked in recently. So I specifically recommend this hotel to friends planning to visit the area. The overall service at the hotel was also excellent!

設施：室內一般，衹能説正常。兩個單人床一個沙發床，適合親子。和大江户差不多，但基本都在室外：室外游泳池，乒乓球枱等，唱k付費
衞生：相對乾淨整潔
環境：窗外江景，本身在山裡，周圍沒啥。
服務：因為人相對比較少，有種被重視的感覺。沒有在大江户和旅遊團一起拼殺的感覺。
晚餐：很講究，很浪漫，是前菜，主餐，甜點的順序逐一上菜的。
早餐：也是相對豐富，可選擇的很多。
温泉：地方有點小，但人也少，所以也還好。就是室內一小塊，露天一小塊。肯定沒有大江户那麼大氣了。
整體感受：温泉酒店的對比，無非就是餐食，室內，温泉的比較。
這家的晚餐還是很贊，其他都是一般

JJiaxingniUpon returning to Takamatsu from the islands, I booked this hotel and opted for a smoking single room this time. Its location is excellent, very close to Takamatsu Port and shopping districts. The room, though compact, was perfectly equipped with everything I needed. In the evening, I enjoyed a relaxing soak in the bathtub.
