"The location is incredibly convenient. The airport shuttle drops you off right at the hotel entrance, and the train station, bus terminal, and ferry terminal are all just a minute's walk away. There's also a bakery in the hotel with a good reputation, though guests no longer get discounts. From the breakfast area on the first floor, you can see the queue at the ferry terminal. While the breakfast isn't extensive, it's quite refined, and it's super convenient if you're in a hurry. The hotel hosts many tour groups from Europe and Southeast Asia, but the elevators are fast, so it's not an issue. We pre-booked dinner at the hotel's famous French restaurant, but business was slow – surprisingly few guests even on Halloween, and no decorations either. However, the food was delicious, the presentation was excellent, and the set menu was very satisfying and reasonably priced."

"It’s about 10 mins walk from airport bus station and 26 mins walk to the ferry terminal. On the day of our arrival, we accidentally left our bag in the bus. With the help of google translate, the hotel staff understood our problem and efficiently communicated with the bus company, we managed to get our bag eventually. There’s coin washer/dryer (¥300/wash) and free coffee/green tea in the cafe, a shared kitchen where one can heat up food and stuff. We stayed 4 nights and we have enjoyed our stay. Would love to go back again!"

"Hard to truly review this property as we checked in but didn't stay. We were under the impression that we had booked the Hotel rather than the Inn - it can be confusing as they have nearly identical names. Judging by the lobby and location of the Inn, we did not feel that it was up to our standards. Thus, we immediately checked out and booked the Hotel instead for our stay. Unfortunately, at the point our prepayment was non-refundable. This was ultimately our fault, but please be advised to make sure that you would like to stay at the Inn (a more business stay lodging) rather than the Hotel (a more traditional full service lodging)."

"The hotel is located above the Shikoku Bank building in Marugamemachi, with the front desk on the eighth floor. Minamishinmachi is right across the street. The area is bustling and transportation is convenient. There's a taxi stand downstairs, and it costs about 800-something yen to take a taxi to the JR station. There are public bus stops within a 5-minute walk, making it very easy to get to Ritsurin Garden and the train station/port. The hotel offers a variety of room types. I booked a twin room which was 28 square meters, spacious enough to lay out 3 or 4 suitcases. It's great value for money. The hotel service is excellent. When I was leaving for my next destination, the Kotohira Onsen hotel, I asked the front desk to help me contact them for pick-up. The two ladies at the front desk were incredibly patient and kept confirming the details. I'd give their service a perfect score."

"I booked an accessible room, and it was genuinely spacious. It's really comfortable to stay in a 35 sqm room in Japan. There was a slight odor when I first entered the room, but it cleared up after I turned on the air purifier.
Downside: The soundproofing isn't great.
Upside: Everything else is a plus. The location is excellent. There's an airport shuttle right downstairs, which costs 1000 yen and goes directly to the airport. There are frequent services, almost hourly.
Location: Whether you're going to the airport, Takamatsu Port for island hopping, or the JR station, everything is within walking distance. It's a 12-minute walk to Takamatsu Port, which was perfect for our island-hopping itinerary. Mitsukoshi department store is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, and it has an LV store with plenty of stock. There are also many choices for drugstores, restaurants, and cafes.
The room was cleaned daily. One time, I forgot to hang the 'please clean' sign and thought it wouldn't be done, but when I returned to the room, it felt completely refreshed, which was a lovely surprise. I forgot to take photos of the room, so I've included a picture of the beautiful blue sea and sky instead."

"Due to the suspension of the Marine Liner, I was unable to return to Okayama where I had planned to stay, so I quickly found this place and ended up staying here. I had never stayed in a guesthouse before and was unsure of the facilities, but when I stayed there, it was surprisingly comfortable. I was able to relax without any inconveniences. However, when I returned late at night after a concert and tried to enter the building, I panicked because I couldn't get in with the PIN number. I was worried about what to do with another group at the entrance, but after a phone call, they came quickly and we were able to enter. That was the only thing that made me nervous this time. I hope this doesn't happen again."

Although it is a bit far from the station and Takamatsu Port (20 minutes on foot), it is very close to shopping area, and the food streets, Many restaurants and cafes nearby. Friendly English / Mandarins speaking staffs, easy self check-in/out. All was as expected and described."

This time, our room was quite spacious, and the bathroom facilities were very good. There was a minor oversight: on the second night, one towel was missing, and on the third night, neither garbage bags nor hand towels were provided, so I had to go to the front desk to pick them up myself. However, these are minor issues. The hotel breakfast was excellent as well; while not extensive in variety, every item was well-prepared and delicious. Complimentary soft drinks and coffee are always available, and grabbing a cold Coke after a day out is incredibly refreshing – definitely a big plus! 👍🏻"

It's quite a distance away from the pier for walking, but there are many different bus services available so it's at max a 16 minutes away from main station and there is a bus stop point right in front of the hotel. Hotel feels relatively new, the standard double room is small but comfortable. Recommended!"

哈哈班長Located on a hill near Takamatsu Station, you can see the beautiful night view from a high vantage point. There is a large hot spring bath on the top floor, which is very clean. There is free coffee and tea in the lobby. Parking is also very convenient. Highly recommended

The hot spring on the top floor is an absolute delight and we didn’t stay in the room much we were almost out, so it was just a place for us to rest our feet and get a good night sleep and that just did the trick. Everything was fine hotel staff were good. Everything was great.

GGuest UserThe room is quite compact, with a 1.4-meter double bed, leaving very limited space to move around.
The hot springs on the hotel's top floor are a definite bonus! They offer complimentary ice cream (3:00 PM - 12:00 AM) and Yakult (5:00 AM - 10:00 AM). After 9:30 PM, you can also enjoy hot spring ramen.
For breakfast, they serve udon with tempura, which is very authentic and delicious.
As for transportation, take the bus from Takamatsu Airport to Chuo Koen-mae (Central Park). After getting off, walk back a bit, and you'll see the Dormy Inn next to a gas station.
From the hotel, if you turn right, you can walk to the Michelin-starred Ritsurin Garden. Turning left will take you to Takamatsu Port, where you can catch various island-hopping ferries. There are also many great restaurants directly across from the hotel.
Overall, aside from the room being too small, everything else was fine.

The hotel is a bit dated to my preference but it has everything you need.
It has an air-conditioning installed (not centralized one). So you can choose the temperature as you wish, not having to rely on the hotel's control.
Of course, it depends on which time of year you are visiting as well.
Limited breakfast selection but again, if you can eat anything, you'll be fine.
I think they offer parking spaces, right across the hotel.
Convenient stores are walkable distance.

GGuest UserThe facilities and location are good, but it is not a standard full-service hotel. It is a bit between a B&B and a hotel. The rooms are equipped with a kitchenette. If you want to cook something yourself, you can, but there is no service. There is only one service staff at the front desk downstairs, and he is not there 24 hours a day. He has a certain working hours. Outside of that working hours, there is no one downstairs, and you basically have to do everything yourself. We don't have a phone number in Japan, so calling a taxi is a bit tricky. They are friendly here, unlike regular hotels: helping customers call a taxi is their job. If you meet a staff member, you can ask him to help call a taxi, but if you meet him, there is nothing you can do.
It is a little closer to go shopping in the city center from here, but it is not within walking distance. If you come with a family or a large number of people, it will be advantageous to live here. Three or four people can live in one room and the space is slightly larger.
However, if I come next time, I will still choose to stay in another full-service hotel. The service is still complete in all aspects, much more comfortable, and convenient to the airport

DDaily happyDuring my recent trip to Japan, I had the pleasure of staying at a hotel that also serves as a wedding venue — and from the moment I arrived, the level of service was simply impeccable. The staff were not only gracious and professional, but also went out of their way to assist me at every turn, despite my lack of Japanese language skills. Their warm hospitality left a lasting impression and made me feel truly welcomed and cared for.
Though the room was compact, it was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully arranged. As a solo traveler, I found the space more than sufficient — cozy, comfortable, and a fantastic value for the price. It truly struck the perfect balance between affordability and quality.
A special mention goes to the amenities: the hotel provides a well-stocked amenity station at the reception, where guests can freely pick up whatever they need — a detail that reflects the hotel’s attention to guest convenience.
While the location is a little removed from the city center, this wasn’t an issue at all for me, as I had a rental car. The added bonus? Free parking on-site, which made my stay even more convenient and budget-friendly.
Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. With its blend of elegant ambiance, exceptional service, and thoughtful touches, it became a peaceful and comfortable base for my journey — one I would gladly return to and wholeheartedly recommend to fellow travelers.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located a bit far from the city center, but the staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The bed was firm and the pillows were comfortable. The water is tap water (you get it from the sink), so if you find it inconvenient, I recommend buying it at a mart or convenience store like me. The public bath is smaller than I thought, but the water was cleanly managed. There is a Halows mart nearby, and you can rent a bike for free for 2 hours. There is a basket in the front of the bike, and if you buy a lot of water like me, you can put it on the back seat, but there is no strap to secure it. I went with a backpack, so I put 3 2L bottles of water in the front basket and brought the rest of the items in my bag.

(Because the railway passes in front of the dormitory, the noise of the train from the first car to the last car will continue to be heard, so please avoid sensitive people) there is an izakaya next to the dormitory, and there is a convenience store for Lawson.
In the dormitory, the staff provide free ice cream during the working hours, please refer to it.
When I went, there was a Korean staff, so it was easy to ask and receive guidance. The dormitory is separated from the mixed room for women, but the noise is all heard.
There's a circle inside the dormitory private bed.
The outlet has a basic two-ball outlet on the wall.
The temperature inside the room was comfortable and the shower booth was also good and the water pressure was good and I used it without any difficulty. Basically, one towel is provided and in the shower room
Body shower, shampoo and conditioner are available, and other amenities can be brought with you or purchased for a fee.
I found a place near the airport bus on the last day of my trip after my trip to the suburbs.

HHeizhubushizhuThe room is bigger than expected, but the facilities are a bit old, basically clean, and the service is normal. Check-in and room are not in the same building, but it is not a big problem. There is a shampoo bar in the check-in lobby where you can pick up items by yourself (it feels like a promotional spot), and there are disposable items and shampoo and shower gel in the room.
The advantage is that for our itinerary, the location is better, just opposite Takamatsu Station and close to the pier. It is convenient to take a bus to and from Osaka and take a boat to several islands, but it is far from the center of Takamatsu. However, there are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so eating is not a problem~

There are restaurants nearby but supermarkets are somehow a bit far away.
Independent socket, lighting and curtains are available to provide privacy for dorm bed users.
Temperature in the dorm room was ok but the toilet was a bit cold in early morning.
