Moye Xinghe Desert Hotel

We brought our kids to experience the Desert Starry Sky Capsule, and they absolutely loved the space-themed design the moment they saw it! The camp is located right in the desert, so you can go sandboarding and play in the sand right outside your door. The kids had an amazing time. The room was spotlessly clean, with plenty of hot water available 24/7, and all the amenities were comprehensive. The staff were warm and friendly, and the camp food was delicious and reasonably priced. There was also a lively bonfire party at night, and we even went stargazing in the desert. Overall, the parent-child experience was fantastic and it's highly recommended for families traveling with children!

I’ve put together an honest, 300-word review based on my experiences at two hotels, highlighting their unique features, differences, and target audiences. It covers both their strong points and minor drawbacks, aiming for an objective and authentic account. Xiangshawan Glamping Tent Hotel & Shunsha Hotel Review During my trip to Xiangshawan, I stayed at both the Glamping Tent Hotel and the Shunsha Hotel. Each offers a distinct experience, catering to different travel preferences. The Tent Hotel focuses on an authentic desert wilderness experience, with direct views of the endless sand dunes, providing an immersive feel for the vast desert landscape. At night, there’s no light pollution, offering expansive views and a perfect atmosphere for stargazing. The camp often hosts bonfires and fireworks, making it ideal for those seeking romance and a glamping experience. However, the tent’s soundproofing and insulation are just average, and the facilities are basic, making it more suitable for younger travelers. The Shunsha Hotel is a new resort with brand-new facilities and a stunning aesthetic. Its 'space capsule' rooms are incredibly futuristic, with convenient smart home features and private viewing balconies that are perfect for photos. The hotel operates on an all-inclusive basis, offering VIP access to the scenic area, meaning no queues for attractions. It also features a children's play area and an outdoor pool, making it excellent for family vacations. The only minor drawback is the lack of an independent restaurant, requiring a shuttle bus to Fusha Island for meals. Overall, if you prefer a wilder experience, choose the Tent Hotel. For comfort, convenience, and family-friendly vacations, the Shunsha Hotel is the top choice.

The room we stayed in was on the third floor. It was fully equipped, with clean bedding, a dry and wet separation in the bathroom, hot shower water, but the shower head had a small water output, and the air conditioner did not heat. The hotel is a public parking lot with limited parking spaces. Pets are allowed, but after checking in, we were told that we needed to pay a deposit of 300 yuan. There are convenient restaurants nearby.

A fantastic stay from start to finish! The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. What really made the experience special was the host’s kindness and generosity. The young man went out of his way to drive me to different locations, making it much easier to explore the area. He also cooked delicious food, which was a real highlight of my stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and he was always friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. His hospitality made me feel right at home, and I truly appreciated all the effort he put into making my visit enjoyable. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The hotel was great, very clean, and they even provided milk and bread rolls. It's about a 30-minute drive from Xiangshawan Desert. The breakfast was a bit limited, but overall it was excellent.

[”The room was meticulously cleaned, and the bedding was so soft I slept incredibly soundly. The front desk was super responsive, and it offers amazing value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time.”,”The location is absolutely fantastic! It's just a few minutes' walk to the commercial district. The soundproofing is excellent, and the breakfast selection is diverse. Overall, it exceeded my expectations.”,”King of value for money! The facilities are new with no musty smell, and the toiletries are high quality. My stay was incredibly comfortable. What's even better is that they have EV charging stations – I didn't expect that, and it was truly the cherry on top for my trip!!!!!”]

Awesome place for families. Family yurt was ideal and the Hero show was fantastic. The other shows and kids activities were also great. Beware limited eating choices but those there are decent enough. Ice cream and Dico’s available at the activities area. Also note you need to pay to get into the scenic area and activities/shows. We paid 268 per adult including 12 activities/shows. Kids under 1.3m are free. Oh and free to use washer/dryer was a godsend.

Nansha Desert 23 Degrees Sand Homestay

23 Degrees Desert B&B – A hidden gem in the Kubuqi Desert, worth visiting countless times! To be precise, it's called 'Nansha Tourist Resort'. This time, I stayed in a yurt compound, and as soon as I entered, I was amazed by the fruit trees in the courtyard. There was an apricot tree right outside our room, and in the morning, when I opened the door, the sunlight cast the tree's shadow on the mud wall. That quiet and gentle scene still feels so healing when I recall it. It was only a little over 200 yuan a night during the May Day holiday, and although the room facilities were simple, the value for money was truly exceptional. The biggest surprise was the Moshang Horse Ranch next door! It was my first time riding a horse in the desert. The instructor saw I was nervous and thoughtfully held the reins for me the entire time. At first, when my feet left the ground, I was both scared and excited. My butt hurt from the bumpy fast walk, but when we started galloping, I slowly found my rhythm. The wind whistled past my ears, and the sunset gradually sank beyond the sand dunes. At that moment, I felt: life is truly worth living! The instructors were not only professional but also very witty, creating a fantastic atmosphere. Everyone at the B&B was super enthusiastic. There's a paid pick-up service from the station to the B&B, which is inexpensive and surprisingly uses a luxury van. Plus, someone specifically picks up and drops off for each activity, so you don't have to worry about a thing. Behind the B&B, there's also a private desert area owned by the boss, undisturbed by tourists! You can freely use the sandboards right outside the restaurant. The restaurant's pork spine, yogurt cake, and yellow tomato beef brisket are all delicious. The ATV off-road vehicle prices are also very reasonable; I recommend spending at least half a day tearing around there. Besides horses, there are also camels, sheep, and cats! While eating, I saw many people driving their own cars with their dogs, and in the morning, I even saw foreigners heading back. It's an undiscovered gem that hasn't gone viral yet! Natural scenery and an immersive experience – this trip had it all. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the desert and avoid crowds.

Seven Star Lake Desert Hotel

Having stayed in so many hotels, this is the first time I can't help but comment that this is the only hotel in the scenic area. It looks good based on the price, but only those who have stayed there know. 1. The receptionist was very enthusiastic and took my luggage on his own initiative. My first impression was quite good. As soon as I moved in, I discovered that the air conditioner was roaring loudly, the toilet button required skill - if you pressed it incorrectly the water would just keep flowing, and the sink drain was half-blocked, so after using it you had to wait for the water to flow out before you could use it again. There was a male waiter at the front desk with a bad attitude. I booked a family room for four people, and there were only two 335ml bottles of water in it. I asked for four more bottles, but he said it would be charged. This is the first time I heard that hotels charge for mineral water! The one point deducted from the service was by the male receptionist! The cleaning staff has a better attitude than the male waiter at the front desk! However, the fireworks show during the May Day holiday is still a plus!

It's worth taking your children to punch in the desert homestay! Children soak in the sand pool all day to dig in the sand to play, completely liberating parents. Children can also experience the sand-washing gentle route of off-road vehicles, and the safety is very high. At night, the stars gave the children science and the galaxy, and set off small fireworks. The children were excited all night. The sanitation of the homestay is very careful, there is no dust from the sky, the toiletries are complete, and the food tastes homely and delicious. The boss takes care of the children, provides small toys intimately, the comfort of the accommodation is online, and the tiredness of playing during the day is particularly stable at night. A relaxing and comfortable short trip for parents and children, and will bring the family back in the future.
