An absolutely amazing hotel, far exceeding my expectations! Before my trip, I was quite anxious after reading numerous 'avoid at all costs' posts on Xiaohongshu, but I felt so much better once I arrived. I had a very satisfying stay. The front desk staff, servers, and concierges were all incredibly friendly and excellent at resolving any issues. This hotel is perfect for families, with a different activity planned every day, keeping things fresh and exciting. The Elements Chinese restaurant was delicious; the complimentary cantaloupe, coconut jelly, and a sesame mooncake on the table were all fantastic. My child loved them so much, they even refilled them for us. The lifeguards at all three pools were very responsible, constantly watching the water, which gave us parents great peace of mind. The outdoor buffet had average food quality, but the performances were plentiful and entertaining. The hotel also has its own beach, which was very convenient for the kids to play on. The Westin will definitely be my top choice again when I visit Wanning next time.

I recently spent two days at Le Méridien Shimei Bay Resort and had a very comfortable stay overall. The ”blue hour” in the evening creates a fantastic atmosphere for photos, and the sea view is superb. 2. **Thoughtful Family-Friendly Amenities:** There's a rich selection of both free and paid activities for families. Kayaking, tree climbing, chocolate making, and coconut candle DIY are all great for kids. The hotel also has its own charming, lesser-known mini-farm with meerkats, goats, chickens, ducks, and geese, where children can feed the animals up close – it's a delightful rustic experience. 3. **Delicious Dining:** The restaurants offer consistent quality with their dishes, balancing local flavors with standard Western cuisine. You won't need to leave the hotel to find good food during your vacation. 4. **Excellent Butler Service:** Our butler, Kim, was prompt and responsive with great service. ⚠️ **A Few Areas for Improvement** 1. **Overabundance of Commercial Elements:** The public lobby area has too many shops and promotional commercial elements, which detracts from the tranquil and upscale ambiance expected of a five-star resort. It feels a bit noisy when walking around. 2. **Limited Breakfast Selection:** The buffet breakfast options are not very extensive, and the variety is somewhat limited. It doesn't stand out compared to other top-tier beachfront resorts of a similar caliber. 3. **Inaccurate Private Pool Depth:** The private villa pool is marked as 1.1 meters deep, but it actually measures only 0.6-0.65 meters. This misleading information is a safety concern when children are playing in the water and needs to be corrected. 4. **Impractical Bathroom Towel Hamper:** The dirty towel hamper in the guest room bathroom is too small. After returning from the beach, there's a pile of bath towels and face towels, which easily overflow. It's very inconvenient for tidying up, and I suggest replacing it with a larger hamper. Overall, it remains an excellent choice for a family vacation in Wanning. If these small details could be optimized, the experience would be even better.

Self-built house guesthouse in Tianxin Village, Hainan: Japanese minimalist style + private terrace, a truly therapeutic experience! This time, I stayed at a self-built house guesthouse in Tianxin Village near Riyue Bay. Overall, the experience was quite good, especially suitable for couples or young people! The room was spacious; it took about 10 minutes for the air conditioner to cool down completely. The keypad lock made check-in very convenient. The sheets and blankets were clean and fresh; Hainan's abundant sunshine not only dried them effectively but also naturally eliminated mites, making them soft and comfortable to sleep on. The room has a minimalist Japanese style and comes with a private small terrace—perfect for drying clothes, sitting and enjoying the countryside view, breathing in fresh air, and relaxing while chatting. The tatami design is very practical; there's no problem sleeping an extra adult. The guesthouse's common areas are also highlights: the floral window decorations on the first floor are perfect for taking photos, and the owner often enjoys tea and relaxation in the courtyard with his two dogs, ”Coco” and ”Hua Hua,” creating a very relaxed atmosphere. The owner is friendly and easygoing. The guesthouse offers electric scooters for rent (though the number is limited, so it's recommended to inquire in advance). It's conveniently located about a 10-minute drive to Riyue Bay (just be aware of potential traffic jams). The village is incredibly convenient, with a medium to large supermarket for daily necessities, several bikini boutiques, and affordable food along the way—a bowl of noodles costs only around ten yuan and tastes quite good. However, there are some minor suggestions: First, the guesthouse entrance lacks a clear sign and is somewhat hidden; adding a lighted sign would help prevent people from missing it at night. Second, there's no dedicated parking area; it's best to communicate with guests about their transportation plans beforehand, especially when there are many guests. Third, adding more dog-themed decorations would be helpful, as Coco and Hua Hua are adorable and would create a warmer atmosphere, especially since the rooms are quite large. Fourth, providing disposable toilet seat covers and toiletries would be beneficial. Fifth, the full-length mirror in the room looks like a funhouse mirror! There's actually a lot of potential for the guesthouse's success! In short, the service and atmosphere are key, and for the Riyue Bay area, this guesthouse is reasonably priced!

Choosing Sheraton Shenzhou Peninsula for our Wanning trip was absolutely the best decision! 🥰 A huge shout-out to our butler, Luna! She proactively contacted us even before our arrival, patiently discussed our check-in needs, and thoughtfully helped us arrange our room. The room's view and location were perfect. The room itself was clean and comfortable, the bedding was cozy, and opening the window revealed a stunning tropical island view. The hotel grounds are vast, with a private beach and swimming pools, making leisurely strolls and enjoying the sea breeze incredibly pleasant. Luna was incredibly friendly, quick to respond to any questions, and very attentive and warm-hearted. It was a truly comfortable vacation experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Wanning!

This is the first hotel I've stayed at in Wanning, and it's also my favorite. The sea view is absolutely beautiful! There are plenty of shops downstairs, including a convenience store, and car rental is also easy, making it more convenient than Shimei Bay. The environment is exceptionally good and very clean; I wake up feeling great every morning. I originally booked an inner sea view, but a lovely staff member upgraded me. I'm very satisfied with this trip! I love Wanning~

Traveling with kids, this is the family-friendly hotel we chose in Wanning! They have親子DIY (parent-child DIY) activities. Our room opened right onto the beach, so no need to travel far for fun. In the evening, we just headed to the beach for some photo ops. The hotel grounds are really beautiful, and Ella, our housekeeper, was super helpful and friendly, solving a lot of practical problems for us. Highly recommended!

Every time I go to Xinglong, I basically stay at Zhongao Hotel. The greenery and ecology of the community are great, and it has a Southeast Asian style. Each small villa also has a swimming pool, which is perfect. The nearby attractions are very close to each other if you drive a car. I mention this Let's experience it. The hygiene is pretty good and the furniture is well maintained. Although it feels a little nostalgic. The only bad thing is that the bathroom equipment is particularly showery. The water in the showerhead is small and it is difficult to take a bath because it is blocked. In addition, the swimming pool garden is recommended. Do some mosquito control, otherwise you will just bite while swimming. Well, the overall cost performance is good. If the above two points are improved, you can consider staying here for a long time.
