GGuest UserThis place is really great. First of all, the rooms are very nice, clean, and spacious, with an outdoor swimming pool (directly connected to the pool from the first floor). We came during the off-season, so we had a private pool for two. The service is also excellent. Compared to five-star hotels, where staff are generally just politely smiling, here the staff all have genuinely friendly smiles. In Riyue Bay, staff will take you wherever you want to go in a small car, stopping wherever you want (during the off-season). The breakfast here is very refined, unlike the buffet style of large hotels. There's complimentary afternoon tea (the passion fruit tea is amazing!), and a cup of evening tea. Honestly, the overall experience was better than at a typical guesthouse, but the friendliness of everyone was a big plus. (Special praise to Xiaomei and Agui! Xiaomei is a very gentle young lady, and Agui is a very knowledgeable young man about the local area; you can ask him in advance where you want to go.)

WWaikin.mDe Vivre is to live, and you will never feel more alive here. Away from the hectic city life and mundane repetitive everyday work rush, you can wind down and relax here. The setting of the place is like a garden, it has a touch of rustic yet modern. If you are looking for a place to take photos then this is the place for you. Every inch of De Vivre will produce the best photo you can ever ask for. They even provide a free photography service for you if you need( first 3 photos is by the photographer). The most outstanding part about this place, more so than the scenary is the service provided by the staff there. They have a 24hours butler service that will try help you resolve any problems that you have to the best of their abilities. They are swift in responding and always always very friendly to make you feel at home. The owner who is there most of the time will chat with you and offer you fruits from the local villagers and really make you feel at ease and at home. Not to mention the 2 dogs there that are extremely friendly that will only try to ask you for belly rubs. They also offer a lot of activies in the hotel such as henna painting, hair braiding and other diy art events, with afternoon tea and even movie under the stars. If you are looking to go to the nearby beach, they have a chauffer to bring you there and back, you just have to communicate the timings with them. The whole stay is extremely pleasant. If you are worried about the cleanliness of the place, it is extremely clean. Thy would on the air conditional before you arrive so that your room would already be cool. The room always smells very pleasant. Last but not least, I just wanna say this is not a sponsored post hahaha. These are all heartfelt feelings and I would definitely find time to go back there. They definitely made me feel like home even away from home. This is the perfect getaway for anyone.

GGuest UserService: Not good. We ate at the Fisherman’s restaurant, and after our voucher was scanned, the male waiter didn't place our order. We waited idly at the restaurant for over twenty minutes. The restaurant offered no compensation whatsoever. The overall service throughout the hotel was cold and unwelcoming. The only satisfactory service came from the butler, who promptly and thoughtfully addressed our needs and inquiries. Room: Average. The value for money is very poor. For the same price, you can get much better sea views at other five-star hotels, whereas at the Grand Hyatt, you only see a sliver of the sea. The soundproofing in the room is terrible, which is a major issue. You can hear every coming and going from the neighboring room, including doors opening and closing, very clearly. It rained one evening during our stay, and I don't know how the room was designed, but the sound of the rain was incredibly loud. It sounded like water dripping from the eaves onto a metal sheet, deafeningly so. I didn't sleep well for two nights. Breakfast: This was the best among all the hotels we stayed at this trip. While the variety wasn't extensive, the quality of the food was excellent. The Chinese restaurant was much better than the Western restaurant. Environment and Facilities: The lobby was completely empty. The public areas were decent, but there were too many plants and the scenery was repetitive. Mainly, with so many plants, there were an incredible number of mosquitoes. I got bitten multiple times despite having sprayed mosquito repellent. One thing I truly don't understand is that all the restaurants are located in a sunken plaza. Every time you want to dine, you have to go up and down stairs. I couldn't find an elevator or even an accessible elevator. I saw parents carrying strollers up the stairs with their children; I have no idea what the designers were thinking. This trip, I booked Sheraton, Westin, and Grand Hyatt. I had the highest expectations for the Grand Hyatt, but it turned out to be the worst experience. I will visit Wanning again in the future, but I will not choose the Grand Hyatt.

GGuest UserI recently stayed here as a Belgian Chinese traveler, and even though my Chinese isn’t very strong, I was welcomed with so much warmth. This hostel is a true hidden gem, tucked away from the typical tourist trails in a quiet part of the village. It’s the perfect location: right by the fields and some very trendy coffee shops, yet only a 5-minute scooter ride from the main bay and the best surf spots. The owners, Shuiku (水库) and Xiaoxiao (笑笑), really made my trip. Shuiku immediately helped me sort out a scooter and personally showed me where to find the best waves, while Xiaoxiao’s English is quite good, which made everything so much easier. They also pointed me toward some local restaurants that were all absolutely delicious. The vibe of the place is just great. It’s incredibly clean because the cleaning lady and Shuiku himself clean the place several times a day. I loved the design of the indoor chill-out area, though sitting outside to enjoy the tropical weather was just as good. There’s a washing machine which is super handy, and you can rent surfboards for a very fair, cheap price. Because the owners' friends drop by almost daily, there’s always a lively, authentic atmosphere. I met a great mix of foreign tourists and Chinese solo travelers trekking around the island by bike or motorcycle. Many Chinese couples and families where staying too, it is very kid-friendly too. I even ended up meeting a French girl there, and we spent a whole week surfing together. GGuest UserThis is a very comfortable hotel. I was hesitant to book it because it's not by the sea, but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived! The hotel is very comfortable overall. It's located on a small hill with many individual treehouses, perfect for chatting and enjoying the breeze in the evenings. The rooms are also very clean and comfortable. What impressed me most was the hourly shuttle bus to and from the beach. It was readily available whenever I wanted to go down from my room. The staff were very friendly and gave me some helpful tips. It's perfect for friends or couples to travel and relax. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance!

Cleanliness is impeccable, and they even provide complimentary bath bags and toilet seat covers. The housekeepers, Youyou, Xiaochen, the curly-haired guy, the guy with the lip piercing, and the other ladies are all incredibly welcoming. They always pick us up and drop us off when we go out, and they gave us tons of travel tips. Their recommendations for Liu Jie's hot pot and sour rice noodles were delicious. Parking is convenient and there are charging stations available. Highly recommended!

The guesthouse has its own spacious parking area, so finding a spot was no problem at all, which was incredibly convenient for us road travelers. The location is also superb, close to tourist attractions and shopping areas, yet quiet and peaceful. It was especially peaceful when we returned at night. The biggest surprise was the guesthouse's private swimming pool! The water was very clean, and a soak in the pool in the afternoon completely washed away all the day's fatigue! I must especially praise the mattress; it was perfectly firm and supportive, and my family and I all had a wonderful night's sleep. The host was also very welcoming and provided attentive service throughout our stay. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the area!
