"Summary: Top-notch environment and design, but let down by lazy housekeeping and poorly maintained facilities. 🤯 I came to Jingdezhen to paint ceramics, and for the first few days, I stayed at the Hyatt Centric Taoxichuan. Then, with high expectations, I moved to this popular, photogenic guesthouse for the next two days. 🥳 The butler proactively added me on WeChat to ask for my arrival time and was there to meet me at the entrance right on schedule, helping with the check-in process. Excellent service! 👍 First, I must say this guesthouse is truly beautiful. The environment is unbeatable; every corner is a photo op. Plus, the villa area is separate from the surrounding industrial zone, making it very quiet. It really evokes a serene, pastoral feeling, like 'picking chrysanthemums by the eastern fence, enjoying the view of the southern mountains.' 🌄 However, upon entering the room, I discovered numerous issues with this guesthouse: 😟 1. The wooden structure combined with humid air meant the room had a strong musty smell. Lighting the complimentary incense helped a little. 2. For a hotel of this price point, the cleaning team failed to empty the dehumidifier's water tank before guest arrival, making it unusable until I emptied it myself. 3. The steps in both the living room and bedroom areas were not properly secured; they tilted significantly when stepped on, almost causing a fall. 4. The bathroom sink was not cleaned thoroughly, with accumulated grime that was quite disgusting. 5. The outdoor patio light was so old and poorly maintained that the lampshade exploded when I turned it on – scared the living daylights out of me! 6. The bathtub drain was broken, making it impossible to hold water, effectively rendering the soaking function useless! Such basic problems in a high-end guesthouse at this price point almost made me lose faith in the Xingshan Shiwai brand! Thankfully, after I reported the issues to the butler and manager, they took them seriously and promptly resolved them. They quickly arranged for repairs and a re-clean, offered apologies and compensation, and promised to make serious rectifications in the future. This restored my confidence in the Xingshan Shiwai brand. Thumbs up to Manager Xia! 👍 These kinds of basic maintenance and cleaning issues are unacceptable in hotels of this price range. But perhaps that's the guesthouse experience: you never know what kind of filling you'll find inside a beautiful chocolate. 😂"

"Location: Tucked away at the end of a small street, it's pretty quiet and free from noise. Cleanliness: The room was very clean and tidy, and the whole guesthouse felt very comfortable. Facilities: They have a washer and dryer, and since it was the off-season, not many people were using them. Service: The staff were very warm, friendly, and helpful. They were very thoughtful and accommodating when they saw we were traveling with elderly people!"

The staff were thoughtful and attentive; they even turned on the air conditioning beforehand, so it was comfortable as soon as we walked in. Renting an e-bike makes exploring attractions like Sanbao Village, Taoyang New Village, and the Sculpture Ceramics Factory a breeze – you can hit all the key Jingdezhen sights. The guesthouse itself is elegant and comfortable, beautifully incorporating ceramic culture with a lot of style, and the common areas are perfect for relaxing. The cleanliness is impeccable; the room was spotless, the bedding fresh and soft, and the bathroom facilities looked brand new. It's well-equipped with a comfy bed, good appliances, and thoughtful toiletries. The service is incredibly warm and attentive; the owner is as friendly as a friend. We received a welcome gift upon arrival and a little surprise when we checked out – it was heartwarming throughout. Five stars, absolutely!"

"I finished checking in, sweating profusely. The butler was so thoughtful; he helped me carry my luggage upstairs and explained the design concept and style of the guesthouse along the way. By the way, the hotel is called ”Dongbi Yin Gui” (Eastern Green Hidden Osmanthus). See that lush osmanthus tree in the courtyard? That's where the name comes from—quite charming! I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the room door. The first thing I saw was a super clean sink, and the shower was separate from the main shower area. To the left was a striking large, emerald green bathtub! Just imagine how relaxing it would be to soak in a tub after a long day of sightseeing! The 1.8-meter king-size bed in the room was very spacious, and the small sofa next to it could also be used as a bed. It would be perfect for a family trip. Next to the elegant desk, there was a private terrace—perfect for watching the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening! The hotel's amenities are also fantastic! Guests can swim in the outdoor swimming pool for free. In the evening, you can brew a pot of tea in the outdoor tea room, relax in the breeze, and enjoy the tranquility! Being a designer hotel, the details are meticulously crafted. The owner even has a private collection; browsing through it is truly like visiting a museum! Finally, I must praise the breakfast—a wide variety and exquisite presentation. It includes local Jingdezhen specialties like mixed noodles and freshly cooked porridge, as well as fresh fruit—perfect for starting your day of sightseeing, leaving you feeling energized and refreshed!"

"My best friend and I were very satisfied with this accommodation during our trip!! It's very close to the China Ceramics Museum and conveniently located! Environment: The detached courtyard is beautiful, with many common areas for tea drinking. Every corner is thoughtfully decorated and photogenic! The outdoor tea room and pottery area on the first floor are beautifully and warmly decorated! The rooms are large and spacious, with a small tea room. The bedding is also very soft and comfortable! You can even watch movies on the projector in the evening – the atmosphere is amazing! Service: The owners are very welcoming and thoughtfully prepare breakfast! I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Jingdezhen!"

Because there was no room when I booked, I booked different room types on the first and second days. "Ziying, as a guesthouse, is perhaps the least like a guesthouse. Not only do the towels and bath towels bear the hotel's name, but they are also sealed in sterilized plastic bags. The bedding is comfortable, soft, and dry – fantastic! The bathroom and shower are both spacious and separate. The breakfast presentation is good, and the variety is plentiful; a bowl of pork rib and radish soup was a welcome relief. The pleasant sound of porcelain bowls clinking against each other in the small sink creates a unique atmosphere. I appreciate the owner's dedication to running a guesthouse. I wish the owner great success in their business."
