"Stayed here for my hike from jinshanling to gubeikou. The location itself is great for visiting this section of the great wall. With just a short hike up the street you will reach the ticket office. Alternatively a driver could also be arranged. After arriving the host immediately welcomed me. He also speaks english and was very helpful in planning my hike and sunrise photography. Overall a really nice and welcoming service. The room itself was very modern and comfortable. Nothing really to complain about. A huge plus was also the restaurant next door. Really great food with local ingredients."

"Stay was good as long as the temperature is cold. We realised that as long as the warmer is set up, the stink bugs infesting the room will come out in droves and will actively be hitting any light source around.. I counted at least 12 stink bugs and personally caught 8 of them, so if you're uncomfortable around bugs it may be better to keep the room temperature as low as possible, as they all disappear and generally do not disturb us so long the room is kept cold."

"We had an exceptional stay at this hotel and would return without hesitation. The host and her daughter were remarkably gracious and attentive, and generously upgraded us from a standard room to a stunning suite. The entire space was thoughtfully designed — elegant, comfortable, and immaculately maintained. The beds were impressively spacious and plush, and the bathroom felt almost futuristic in both design and functionality. The location is equally compelling, with the Great Wall just nearby — an unforgettable sight, especially at sunrise. A practical note: it’s wise to carry cash, as electronic payments may not work for foreign visitors in the area. Also, taxis can have some difficulty reaching the hotel directly due to a barrier some distance away, though most drivers manage to work around it. All in all, a truly memorable experience — we would gladly return."

"We stayed one night at Jinshanling Hanting B&B, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the Great Wall. It’s the perfect spot to catch both sunrise and sunset; the wall opened at 5 a.m. when we visited in early November. Breakfast was included, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend staying overnight for the better light and calmer atmosphere instead of doing a day trip. There’s also a great café nearby. To find the place: walk to the entrance gate, turn right, and it’s on the right side after about 30–50 meters."

"Absolutely loving this place! The vibes is totally awesome and a nice place to chill with lots of activities to do, though unfortunately we only had one night here as we only planned to hike Jin Shan Ling, but we will definitely be back for more next round! Service and hospitality is top notch and absolutely grateful to have such a nice bunch of staff who were super friendly and warm. The hotel was near Jin Shan Ling (about 5 mins drive) and they even offered to drive and pick us to and fro the hotel and Jin Shan Ling. Within the hotel, they were concerned with us feeling cold so they ferried us to our room as our room was a few mins walk away, and fetched us from our room to the lobby when we wanted to hang out at their chill areas there which turned out to be really relaxing. They served super sumptuous meals including a hot pot set which was great for winter and even offered us complimentary dishes as part of winter solstice. One of the staff named Henry Zhang gave us a tour at their exhibition centre showing the various scenic areas in 四季山, 金山岭 and 北京城! We enjoyed the experience sharing from him and the explanation to the various attraction sites, appreciate the sweet gesture as he didn’t actually had to do that but he did so! Room was absolutely great and spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with heaters inside the restrooms which was super nice. It was a good night rest for us. Breakfast was their local dishes which was great too and super filling (buns, eggs, porridge, dough sticks, specialty cold dishes). All in all, we had no complains from the time we checked in, super loved the experience and it definitely make us want to book another trip here again soon! 特别喜欢这里的服务，在这里住的很舒服也非常开心。好美的地方和人，令我都马上想在订下一趟旅程来这里了！好可惜我们只住了一晚因为我们本来只是想爬金山岭，如果能待多几天那该多好。。简直完美! ❤️"

"The overall is very good, less than 500, 11 Golden Week, double early with water park tickets is very suitable. Basically configured according to the four-star hotel, clean and sanitary facilities, free parking, large rooms, comfortable beds It is a 45-minute drive from Jinshanling Great Wall and a ten-minute drive from Muping City. It is recommended for family travel and vacation, but unfortunately did not experience the swimming pool. ~ Some guests are of poor quality, loud noise in the middle of the night, room staff prompts in place, 🙏 Good breakfast, quite satisfactory, freshly ground coffee"
