"The hotel is conveniently located in the international arrivals hall. After exiting, turn right, walk past the Lawson convenience store, and continue straight to the end. Take the elevator to the fourth floor, and you'll arrive at the hotel lobby. They offered a welcome drink during check-in. The room was spacious and even offered a view of the planes. The soundproofing was excellent. There's only one smoking room on the fourth floor, which you pass by on the way to the hot spring. The hot spring area has a large pool, which I suspect isn't a natural hot spring, a cold plunge pool, and a sauna, but no outdoor hot spring. Overall, it was a great experience, perfect for those with an early morning flight the next day or anyone arriving after a long journey looking to recharge. I especially loved the slippers in the room; they definitely deserve a thumbs up!"

"Whenever I have an early flight from New Chitose, I always choose to check in at this airport hotel the day before. The rooms are spacious, and it's super convenient – you just take the elevator from the second floor of the terminal up to the third floor for check-in. Arriving a day early also gives you plenty of time to eat, drink, and shop at the airport, as New Chitose Airport has a lot of great food options! However, the air conditioning in the room wasn't effective; I woke up feeling hot in the middle of the night. Also, while having breakfast included is convenient, I noticed on this stay that the breakfast wasn't as good as it used to be. The variety was limited, and the taste was just mediocre."

"I chose this hotel because I had an early morning flight, and it's very close to the airport. Check-in is done via a self-service machine, and there are self-service luggage lockers in the lobby. The single room is quite small, but the bathroom isn't too cramped, and the room was very clean. Breakfast is a set menu, served promptly at 6:30 AM. There's a self-service counter for drinks and tea soup for congee. Overall, I'm satisfied."

"Exceptional stay with unbeatable convenience I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the ANA Crowne Plaza Chitose. The highlight of this property is its incredible location and the convenience it offers. It serves as a perfect base, with an Aeon mall and excellent dining options right nearby. As we were driving, the spacious car park was a major advantage that made getting in and out stress-free. To top it off, having a FamilyMart located directly inside the hotel was incredibly handy for quick purchases. Overall, a truly great stay that I highly recommend."

"Out of the three onsen hotels I stayed at in Lake Shikotsu, Suizantei, which is popular online and hard to book, was actually quite average with no scenic views from its onsen. Then there was the extremely overpriced Aigashiro, which was even worse – no service, no ambiance. Marukoma was my last stay and also the cheapest. Reviews online were mixed, but seeing it was a century-old onsen, I wanted to give it a try. Turns out, it was the only one of the three worth visiting. First, the onsen views are the best because of its elevated location. I wouldn't recommend the wild onsen as it's unmaintained and the water is very cold. However, the outdoor public onsen truly offers fantastic views and a great panorama. And the view from the public cafe is incredibly comfortable; just sitting there and daydreaming is a pure delight! The rooms are just for sleeping, small, and without a view, but the previous two hotels weren't any better. Dinner, I think, was decent for the price! The ingredients seemed fresh, and it wasn't as bad as some online reviews claimed! Overall, Lake Shikotsu is worth visiting, and Marukoma is worth experiencing! It's an old brand, and the service is quite good! When we checked in, we casually mentioned needing a taxi the next day, and at breakfast, a staff member came to ask if we needed help calling one! That was really heartwarming! No discrimination whatsoever! The private paid onsen is also good! It's not expensive and I recommend trying it out."

"This is a very Japanese-style onsen hotel. I could communicate with the staff using simple English for work-related tasks. The traditional Japanese service was excellent, and it was incredibly quiet. The tatami mats were very comfortable, and I slept wonderfully. During the day, coffee, tea, and snacks were available in the first-floor cafe. The second-floor tea room offered a wide variety of tea bags. I thoroughly enjoyed the serene snowy landscape. The only thing I couldn't quite get used to was the food (personal preference). Almost all the shops nearby closed by 7 PM, so eating out was practically impossible. Also, since I booked a lake-view room with an open-air bath, the bath and shower were on the balcony, which felt a bit cold."

"For Japan, the room wasn't small; it was actually pretty good. You could easily open two or three suitcases without any issues. For a 'pigeon-coop' hotel in Japan, you can't ask for much more. The lady at the front desk and a slightly plump guy were both very enthusiastic and had excellent attitudes. I went during a very sensitive time, and there were absolutely no problems. I'm not sure if they spoke Chinese or English, so I can't comment on that. The hotel is not far from the JR station, maybe a 10-minute walk. Breakfast is served at the izakaya next door, which was decent and filling, and they even offer airport transfers. If you need to go to the airport, this is definitely the place to book. Otherwise, if you're coming from Hakodate or some other remote place, it's quite a long journey, and if you miss your train, you might have to wait several hours for the next JR. Staying here in advance is the safest bet. The only minor drawback, if I had to name one, is that there aren't many shopping centers or entertainment options nearby, and it gets dark early. If you're flying home, you absolutely, positively must book this place!!"

"A bit skeptical after reading all the reviews about the troublesome check-in process. Check-in was done over video call at the counter, it took a while for the reception (non local) to answer, the call was only pick at the very end of second attempt. Overall, the location is convenient with a short distance to the airport, and the apartment itself looks clean and well-maintained. A decent stay despite the slightly slow check-in experience."
