Scenic Hotels in St. Augustine

"The Ponce is an older hotel with plenty of charm and character, which was what I was looking for. It has been maintained and updated beautifully. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable.The bed was extremely comfortable. Amenities included pool, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, blow dryer, iron, ironing board, writing desk with chair, huge HD TV, and free WIFI. A guest laundry room is available. The Ponce is a 15 minute walk or short drive to the St. Augustine old historic site. Shopping, restaurants, and a salon and spa are also minutes away. The Ponce is on the water, and although the restaurant does not face the water, the view is beautiful. The hotel restaurant, the DeLeon, is a Colombian restaurant. The food was delicious and authentic! I can't wait to eat there again. I give the Ponce Hotel a rating of A+++++. I also must mention that I left a pair of diamond earrings in my room, and within an hour of checking out, Negar, the hotel desk receptionist, called me to let me know, and my earrings are being mailed to me. This honesty and going the extra mile is seldom seen today, and I was extremely impressed and grateful. Again,I rate them very highly and plan to return on my next visit."

"Had a nice stay at Best Western Bayfront. Location is great!!! Walking distance to everything, restaurants and shopping. Room was nice, but floors were dirty. Still recommend to everyone. "

"For a hotel without breakfast, an optimal stay, very clean room, pool on the street, very friendly receptionist, parking on the room. Top price - performance! We are very recommended to who wants to enjoy breakfast in the nearby DOS café in the morning. Not very far from the historic Augustine!"

"We enjoyed a balcony room and a lovely buffet breakfast each morning . The pool was good and had plenty of sunbeds . It was a relaxing week and we drove to St Augustine or the shopping malls or the lovely beaches nearby . Our favorite was Hammock park beach . A football team and their parents arrived on the Friday night and unfortunately they were allowed to run riot and up and down in the glass window lifts . They were very noisy and most guests were complaining . This spoiled our stay towards the end . Also the breakfast buffet was not available every morning and we ordered from a menu which wasn’t extensive in choice . The hotel is due a refurbishment as rooms are dated ."

"The room is recently refurbished with a beautiful shower but the air conditioning is considered a Boeing at departure and it is imperative to have quies balls... We could have been sleeping in a short time correctly. If not, the location is ideal and the quality price ratio is correct."

"beautiful hotel and food was good although we saw two couples leave angry because of more than a 30 minute wait for breakfast. staff present were doing their best but the kitchen staff couldn’t keep up with orders   from my personal viewpoint, my only complaint is the additional $25 per night for parking. it feels like just another way to squeeze the customer"

"The room provided wasn't 100% ready on our arrival the rooms advertised refrigerator was pulled out from its location with the door left opensitting on top of a towel collecting water that had been leaking for some time. Mint. Did respond quickly to the matter by cleaning up the watery mess and getting the refrigerated back into place. The refrigerator was plugged back in but eventually started to leak during the past 3 days of stay. The room did feel damp as there may have been high humidity present."
