"The location is excellent, convenient for getting around. It's on Laodong Road, a street lined with all sorts of restaurants and eateries, offering options for both casual dining and upscale dining. Attractions are all within walking or cycling distance. The interior is also very nice and stylish, with tasteful room lighting and bathroom facilities. The service is very friendly, the breakfast is delicious, and there's even evening soup and snacks. Parking is a short three-minute walk away, with both surface and underground options. The only downside is the poor soundproofing in the rooms; otherwise, it's impeccable."

Wyndham Shaoxing Keqiao

"Excellent, excellent! The location is great, right by Guazhu Lake, offering beautiful views and easy access to the park. The hotel is the tallest building in the area, standing at 42 stories. The service was also great; they proactively upgraded our room and had a crib set up for us in advance. As for the hardware facilities, they were well-equipped and satisfactory."

Shaoxing Kaiyuan Life Hotel (Luxun Hometown Subway Station Cangqiao Straight Street)

"The hotel's location is excellent, and the room was very clean when I checked in. I arrived at night, but the view from the window during the day was absolutely stunning. The breakfast offered a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options, which was great. All the hotel staff were very friendly. I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance."

Xianheng Hotel

"This is one of the better hotels in Shaoxing, with excellent facilities across the board. Its biggest advantage is its proximity to Lu Xun's Former Residence and Shen Garden – it's literally at the best and closest spot right at the entrance of the scenic area, and also close to the subway. Regarding the accommodation, we booked a garden view courtyard room on the first floor. It was very convenient, saving us from constantly taking the elevator. There were a few more mosquitoes and it was a bit humid, but thankfully, we had two sunny days during our stay. Upon arrival, we noticed the bathroom sink was clogged, but the hotel promptly cleared it after we notified them, which was great. Now, about the restaurant. The menu wasn't extensive, but we tried some famous local dishes like Shaoxing Sanxian, Dongpo Pork, Stinky Tofu, and Drunken Fish. The dining service here is quite different from what you'd find in southern Guangdong. We weren't offered tea after sitting down; when we asked about it, the waiter just brought three bowls for tea. There were no napkins either. Basically, they don't offer anything unless you ask. After dinner, when we requested toothpicks, they pulled out a handful of loose ones and gave us one or two. It's hard to associate this kind of service with a five-star hotel. Perhaps for a second-tier city, this is as good as it gets, so one shouldn't expect too much!"

"Work wasn't busy, so I needed a vacation and decided to travel on a whim, which is why I booked this hotel. Later, a friend told me I'd booked the wrong one—there are two Xianheng Hotels in Shaoxing, one called Xianheng Grand Hotel and the other Xianheng Hotel, haha! In the end, I decided to book this one anyway because the high-rise view is so comfortable! The other one is garden-style. Facilities: The lobby looked a bit dated at first glance, but it was definitely comfortable and clean. The room facilities were quite unique, especially the louvered bathroom—it was so stylish! Cleanliness: It was very clean, and everything felt spotless; you could tell they took great care in maintaining it. Service: The concierge was very helpful, proactively carrying our luggage and bringing us things. His service was better than some other hotels! Environment: The hotel is very large. I went to the spa for a massage. My friend and I went, but for some reason, we had separate massages. We asked if we could share a room because I saw there were two beds, but the masseuse refused…"

"Pros: The location is excellent, right next to Fushan Park. The hotel's internal environment is also very good, and the staff are polite and proactive in resolving issues. Areas for Improvement: 1. The breakfast selection is quite limited. 2. The smart system isn't very smart, especially the curtains – there's a delay when opening and closing them, and the smart assistant ('Xiao Du') isn't very responsive. 3. There was a tiny bit of dust in the corners of the room. Overall: What I got was roughly equivalent to what I paid, so no major disappointments, but no big surprises either."
