"We initially booked a guesthouse for our first night at Fuxian Lake, but upon arrival, we found the environment less than ideal and the room quite disappointing. We promptly cancelled the next two nights and booked the Xiyuan Hotel instead. Located in Guanglong Town, while the lake view wasn't as good as some hotels and guesthouses near Moon Bay (it's farther from the lake), the surrounding area was incredibly convenient. There were many restaurants nearby serving the famous stone pot fish, and Xingguang Hotel was within walking distance. Parking was free.
Most importantly, the room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom even played music automatically during the shower – so fun! Staying at Xiyuan was definitely the right decision!"

"The last stop of our trip to Yunnan was Fuxian Lake. Choosing Guanglong Town to stay was a very good decision, and choosing this hotel to stay was even better. After the summer vacation, it is considered a small off-season, and the town is quiet and leisurely. Although the room is not very large, it is well designed and the bathroom is separated into three parts. What’s even more surprising is that the hotel supplies at this price range use Acca Kappa, which smells great. In terms of location, behind the hotel is the Starlight Night Market Street, which is very convenient for shopping and eating.
All in all, it was a very satisfying stay experience for the whole family, and I hope to come back again in the future."

"The entry is so calming. A nice open space with plants all around. The Chinese couple owning the Hotel were very sweet even though we couldn’t converse with them (they didn’t speak English and we can’t speak Chinese). They let us store our two bicycles in the house. The room is large and the bathroom is massive. There’s a bit of road noise with the windows open (on the second level). There’s no lift. They owner walked us to a neighbouring restaurant which was very nice. In the morning they both saw us off on our ride. "
