Renovated in 2024, the Hor Moheb Hotel offers both holiday makers and business travelers a pleasant stay in Giza. The hotel is only 13km from Bashtil - Upper Egypt Train Station and 32km from Cairo International Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. The closest major public transportation, Giza Metro Station, is only 1km away. Guests will find Al Mouhafza Presbyterian Church, SPEED Bookstore | مكتبة سبيد and El Shahed Hamde Abo El Soud just a short distance from the hotel. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city.

"The service here is excellent, the location is okay but you will need to get taxis to get around if you want to visit tourist attractions. The room was nice, if you don’t mind some old fashioned style furniture and interior decoration. To summarise: not the most modern building but the top quality service makes for an enjoyable stay."

Hotels in Al Haram,Giza

In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. "A great value small hotel! We only booked the most basic room for one night, but every staff member was warm and kind. The front desk was friendly, and as soon as we got out of the car, a young man helped us with our luggage to our room. At breakfast, the chef saw we were about to leave and specially brought us some freshly fried meatballs to try! The room also had bright 4000K lighting, and the toilets all had sealed strips. The air conditioning was brand new and very powerful. Although the overall space was small, it was cozy, clean, and tidy! From the hotel's terrace, you can see the Sphinx and the pyramids, and as soon as you open the hotel door, the ticket office is just 10 steps across the street (no exaggeration at all). Then you need to go to the main road, and a small kiosk further up is the entrance. Across the street from the hotel are KFC and Pizza Hut (the BBQ flavored thin-crust pizza was tasty). If there's anything to note, it's that small hotels near the pyramids generally have poor soundproofing. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to bring earplugs from your flight as a backup. However, my partner and I, who are average sleepers, only heard some noise before falling asleep at 9 PM and weren't woken up in the middle of the night. Also, many hotels in Egypt don't provide toiletries, so you'll need to bring your own portable toothbrush holder, toothbrush, and toothpaste. Compared to similar hotels, this one is highly, highly recommended overall!"

Marriott Mena House, Cairo

9.2/10

The Mena House's views and location are truly unbeatable, one of a kind in the world. You can only fully experience the pyramids from sunrise, midday, to sunset by staying here. As night falls, without the pyramid lights, they appear exceptionally serene and mysterious, framed by the hotel's lights and palm trees. This is an experience that simply can't be replicated by just visiting for a quick photo. The hotel also carries immense historical significance. The Cairo Conference was signed here, and photos of the 'Big Three' from that era hang on the walls, full of historical resonance. For me, paying for this unique scenery and historical ambiance was absolutely worth it; I have no regrets. However, frankly speaking, the hotel's amenities, service, and attention to detail absolutely do not match its price (you're paying for the location, not the service). The hairdryer has weak power, leaving my hair dry and frizzy at the ends. The toiletries, especially the toothpaste, are of poor quality, like a product without any brand or quality assurance. There's only one type of pillow, and it's so soft it offers no support whatsoever. After one night, my neck was aching – not what you'd expect from a high-end hotel. The restaurant experience was also terrible: I ordered soup, and it was served without a spoon. I couldn't find one anywhere, and by the time the waiter brought one, the soup was completely cold. The restaurant staff would even specifically ask if everything was satisfactory, but by then, complaining felt pointless, so I could only say 'it's fine.' What was even more unsettling was the fake, superficial service. When I genuinely needed help or efficiency, no one was around. When checking out, my suitcase had spinner wheels and was very easy to push, but a staff member insisted on 'helping' with it, performing this kind of meaningless, superficial gesture. In summary: Staying here means paying for the pyramid views and the historical sentiment, not for comfort and service. Those who value scenery and historical significance might find it acceptable, but anyone seeking genuine service quality and a premium lodging experience will definitely be disappointed.

I didn't have high expectations for accommodation in Egypt, so overall, I thought it was pretty good. The room was quite large, a bit old but reasonably clean. The bathroom was okay, but the sink was too small with no space for toiletries, and most importantly, it was leaking. The bed was comfortable, the bedding was clean, and the pillows were very comfy, so we slept soundly and rested well. They provide two complimentary bottles of water daily, and you can ask the front desk for more if needed. The staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful. The hotel offers disposable slippers but no toothbrushes or other toiletries. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options and good taste, enough to fill you up before starting your day.

It was my daughter's 30th birthday and we stayed over at this hotel. The staff were superb and helped make my daughter's birthday so special. They gave us a upgrade suite and allowed offered complimentary late checkou which was amazing. Food is superb as well as cocktails. The lovely Huge celebration cake was superb. The petit chef experience on the Nile was superb and food was so delicious and big portions which I recommend to do. the hotel manager gave us a complimentary drink before walking us over to the boat and provided a car to pick us up after our. Meal on the boat.

In general, it was nice, but there are nuances. We bought 2 nights, but we planned not to stay the second night, but to go to the airport in the evening. At the evening race, a guy on the resepshen called a few more people. They were 5. And they told us there were no places in the hotel. There is a hotel that is below the floor but the view is not exactly on the pyramid. We started to murmur a little that we would live one night and we need a good view. Such reviews I read a lot in other hotels. But this hotel has not seen such reviews. It was settled for one night in another hotel below the floor with a good view of the pyramids. A whole cake was given as an apology! Thank you. The next day when we arrived in the evening after the tour, we were settled in a purchased room. We stayed in it at 2:00, we were made decorations for the birthday. In general, the situation has a little corrupted mood, but the overall impression is normal. Living in different rooms, all ok

Didn’t stay in the room that was booked. Bedroom wasn’t clean, there was urine on the toilet seat and internet barely worked. Also a lot of appliances ie phone was in the room but didn’t work… good view from roof but got very very hot as there is no shelter or wind protection.

It’s a very disappointing experience - we booked the luxury Pyramids view room (that’s the reason why we chose this hotel), after checking in, we waited another 70 minutes!! till we were told the room electric system is broken (we didn’t know if it’s real or not, maybe the room was double booked?)..Then the hotel manager gave us $50 refund and arranged us in the cheapest room.. The first room has water leakage so we changed to another one… The room is very very small, and the bathroom smells so bad, and has a lot of limescale… Even we got $50 refunds, this still means we spend $120 to live in such a small and smelly room, and we booked this hotel 4 months in advance… The restaurant is on the roof, the view is good. The breakfast is good as well.

We stayed at the hotel for the last night. We were going to visit the Pyramids the next day, so we decided to stay near the scenic spot so it was easy to walk there. The pyramid view room is a bit noisy near the roadside. It's not a big problem if you bring earplugs.

Hotel staff were very helpful. Double-booked our room, but they found a place for us to stay the first night before moving us to our intended room. The rooms are old and you can see the wear and tear. Overall, not bad considering the price and similar hotels. The Conti Cafe, located on thrfirst and second floor is excellent!
