This hotel on Gili T was fantastic, I was actually sad to leave! Given how natural and untouched the island is, getting a room and service of this quality felt like an absolute steal. The room itself was huge, with a shared lawn in the front and a private backyard featuring a pool, outdoor sun loungers, a toilet, and an outdoor shower. The hotel's private beach wasn't very big, but the views were absolutely stunning.

This was a treat as it’s a birthday celebration but it soon turned into a series of unfortunate events. The service and staff are amazing but their rooms have a serious bug problem. We woke up in the middle of the night to find our pillows covered with winged bugs that looked like ants, they were in the pillow and on the pillow, upon inspection there were more on the headboard and on the sofa by the window. We started to also notice dust piles on the floor in the room too, so we suspect they are eating at the wood. It was pretty alarming to find and have bugs crawling on your bed and we soon found out it was on our bags too. A staff member was quick to come to our room to inspect but the main team have already gone home. They allowed us to switch rooms but it looks like the problem is in the other room too. By the bed, more dust piles and on the sofa more bugs. It’s midnight so we sprayed the bed with bug spray and hope no more will crawl on us. As well as this their sink was blocked. We are both adventurous people, slept in the rainforest before, camped etc so we are not scared of bugs but when these could be termites or carpenter ants, our biggest worry is bringing them home. It’s not a nice situation for them either given their buildings are 200 years old. The next morning comes and the situation was not handled like a luxury hotel would. No one came to speak to us about it and no apology until I mentioned it at reception. The room they moved us to was also a smaller one so we effectively paid for a bigger room that we couldn’t stay in, this also wasn’t mentioned. There were positives like free bike usage, good cocktails, board games in lobby and a clean pool but I wouldn’t say this is a luxury hotel but more like a 3 star hotel with a 5 star mask. All in all, a birthday that wasn’t a treat.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right on the beachfront with private sun loungers. The staff are welcoming, and there's a tap outside each villa to rinse off sand after the beach. We were greeted wonderfully and checked in immediately as our room was ready. They promptly brought welcome drinks and cold towels. Regarding the downsides: there are no disposable toothbrushes or body lotion. The water isn't in disposable bottles but in a carafe that you have to refill yourself in the lobby. The room is very dark with insufficient lighting. The windows aren't airtight, leading to high street noise, especially when the call to prayer starts at night. The refrigerator is also very noisy. The air conditioner is positioned to blow directly onto the bed, so we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed. The AC is also loud. There were strange worm-like caterpillars crawling in the bathroom and room. There are no power outlets near the beds. Breakfast is à la carte, with an additional buffet offering vegetables, fruits, cheese, cold cuts, and pastries. The breakfast food isn't very good; poached eggs were overcooked. A plus is that you can order several dishes from the menu. The latte coffee was very bitter, and I had to add milk myself. I believe the price for this hotel is too high. The only plus is the location – it's conveniently situated a 10-minute walk from the port and has a beach spot where you can see turtles.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. It definitely doesn't live up to its price. The hotel grounds are very well-maintained and beautiful, and the breakfasts are fantastic. The food at the beach club was also delicious, though expensive. However, the room wasn't exactly 'wow' – you could tell it was a bit dated. We were shocked that they didn't provide toothbrushes; how is that possible for a 5-star hotel? And the staff was a bit odd – many spoke English in a way that was hard to understand, and they seemed to invade personal space (having every single staff member greet you and ask how you are is a bit much, in my opinion). Plus, one of the waiters was persistently pushing a snorkeling tour on us. Perhaps it's the best you can get on this island, but having stayed in luxurious villas in Bali for half the price, we expected more.

I loved my stay at this place! Gili T is already a magical place and staying at this resort was the cherry on top. Staff is extremely friendly, helpful and accommodated all our needs during our stay. Breakfast was great as you get the choice of a main dish plus a pastry, some fresh fruit and refills of fresh juice and coffee. Room was always kept immaculately clean and the air con was great with the 40 degree weather!

LOVED this hotel!!! Hands down the most beautiful hotel on the island. This place offers stunning beach vibes with little apartments and lovely outdoor spaces that make it so easy to relax and soak up the island lifestyle. We actually rented bikes and rode around the entire island, and this was easily the most beautiful hotel we saw! The pool is the absolute main feature here—great cocktails and an amazing vibe. The rooms were nice, and the outdoor shower was the cutest touch! My only minor critique regarding the room would be the lack of shower gel holders and towel rails near the actual shower itself. Food-wise, breakfast was incredible. It can take quite some time—you could easily spend an hour there—but it wasn't a problem for us because they bring out croissants and pastries while you wait, keeping you full while you enjoy the beautiful views. An absolutely stunning stay, I can't wait to go back!

We stayed as two couples and had a spectacular time at Kelapa. Ren the manager was ready to help our every need straight away and helped us book bikes and trips. She went as far as confirming we didn't pay too much when we booked others on our own. The villa itself was clean, tidy and exactly what we were looking for. The pool is huge but rather deep for the most part so you'll want to keep an extra eye on children. The Kelapa boys would come by to clean the place every morning about 10-11am and did an excellent job. They were very polite and made sure not to go into your room to clean without asking first. I gave one less star on location because it's in the heart of the island where it's much quieter. If you're looking for a night out you'll definitely need a bike or carriage arranged, otherwise you can expect a long walk home. We originally booked 3 nights and very quickly decided to add on to our stay. Thanks so much Ren and Team for an unforgettable visit! Best, Ryan Lisha Dec Mel

This hotel is magnificent in every way! The rooms are equipped with everything you could need, including a kettle, a safe, toothbrush and paste sets, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and even body lotion. The bathroom humidity is low, so swimsuits dried completely overnight. The huge bed was incredibly comfortable with soft pillows – we slept like babies! The staff are very attentive and always smiling, excellent service! There are two swimming pools on the property; we particularly liked the second, longer one, further from reception. You can also rent bicycles for the whole day! The breakfasts are delicious. Best of all, turtles swim right in front of the hotel – we absolutely loved watching them! It was hard to leave this paradise!!!

This is a great hotel, conveniently located right by the pier, making it super easy to find food, entertainment, and activities. The hotel is clean and tidy, and the staff are enthusiastic and polite – almost all young and handsome guys! If I'm ever in the area again, I'd definitely choose this hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay! Staff were wonderful, very kind and helpful, location was brilliant close to great food and the harbour, only a short stroll on the main road, so no need to hire a horse and cart, unless you have a lot of language. Pool was lovely very refreshing, loved having access to it at my front door! I would honestly come back, really loved being able to rent an electric scooter from the lobby, no hassles at all just pay and go. Was my first time on a scooter, staff were very helpful and non judgemental when I crashed into the bush my first go lol. They were correct you will become a pro in no time. Outdoor bathroom is slightly older, a bit of wear and tear, but didn’t bother me, as everything worked fine, the walls could use a bit of a clean to get 5/5 for cleanliness, however the toilet, shower, sink and room itself were very clean, including the bedding and towels. Guests also have access to the lagoon beach club, hosts breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as movies playing by the pool on a projector everynight. It’s such a vibe :)
