We absolutely loved our stay at 山古民宿 Shangu Homestay. The room was spacious, well presented in ******* style, and kept wonderfully warm with underfloor heating. The window-side lounge area was so cozy that we didn’t want to leave after three nights. Dinner was a highlight—the ******* hotpot was delicious, with fresh yak meat, vegetables, and noodles. Breakfast included fruit, ******* butter tea, and tsampa, giving us a real taste of local traditions. The host was incredibly welcoming and shared fascinating stories about ******* culture, nomadic life, and even how to make incense. During our stay, it snowed heavily, and our children had a fantastic time playing in the snow with the host. It was not just accommodation, but a cultural journey filled with warmth and unforgettable memories. This Tibetan-style homestay hidden next to Labrang Temple really gave me a surprise. The aesthetic is very online not stacking those symbolic ethnic elements, but integrating Tibetan colors and wood textures into modern spaces, just right. But the most moving thing is the housekeeper here. This young man is simply a treasure: adjust the water smoke, pull the coffee, we have a problem with the water heater at night, turn around and pick up the tool to the door to repair. The whole process is warm and thoughtful, responsive, and the sense of service from the heart makes people feel warm on the plateau. Next time I come to Xiahe, I will rush to him and I will definitely stay here.

On our check-in day, the welcoming owner offered to take us for a walk by a nearby stream. Verdant grass lay beneath our feet, dotted with wildflowers, the stream gurgled, and in the distance, cattle and sheep strolled leisurely. It felt like stepping into an untouched natural landscape. This immersive experience, detached from the hustle and bustle of life, was one of the greatest surprises of the trip. Service is in the Details What touched us most was the owner's thoughtfulness. Due to our tight schedule the next day, we planned to depart at 7:30 AM. We had planned to skip breakfast, but the owner specifically inquired about our departure time the night before and prepared a hot breakfast the next morning. Bread, milk tea, and side dishes...the simple fare held the most simple warmth, making us feel like family on a cool morning. This selfless enthusiasm far exceeds expectations of ”hotel service.” Summary This isn't just a hotel offering accommodations; it's a warm, grassland inn. 位於夏河縣老城，離拉卜楞寺 拉卜楞廣場都是挺近的。本來訂的是另外一個老牌酒店，結果開車經過這個酒店覺得從門檻上看起來就很高級乾淨，還有地下停車場 果斷換成了這個。房間是比較新型的酒店的設施 包括智能馬桶，電動窗簾。可能是因為淡季吧，所以早餐是送到房間裏的。衞生間乾濕分離。訂房間之前我看到描述説沒有空調，但是覺得這個季節應該也用不上，沒想到房間非常的熱，外面都零下了，晚上開窗睡覺還是覺得很熱。 晚上基本沒怎麼睡好，但酒店的設施啊位置啊，裝修包括服務都還是不錯的，所以大家根據自己的需求斟酌吧。
