"The rooms are well equipped and the room service and restaurant service are satisfactory. Two problems: First, the room temperature was too high, about 30 degrees, and there was no temperature control. I reported this to the hotel, and they said that the heating temperature in Xiahe is always that high and the hotel cannot control it. We opened the windows and drew the curtains, but didn't dare turn on the lights because there was a hotel across the street. We couldn't fall asleep in bed at all. "Our stay here was lovely, with kind staff. We are Australian and our check-in was easy. However, please note that the name of the hotel name is “Samphel Dhondup Hotel”, and it is located near the southern corner of 腾志路, Tengzhi Road, near the Monastery Ticket Centre and the river. This was confusing upon arrival. The heated floors were extremely hot, and not able to be turned off. Our room was a sauna, despite being -4°c outside (we had our window open the whole time). Hopefully this can be fixed. Breakfast was small but we were here during the offseason."
