GGuest UserWe set 5 people, 2 big and 3 small. Give a basement room. It doesn't feel happy.
And the basement - there is one room that is still separated from the other room, it doesn't feel very good.
The front desk must call one day in advance, otherwise no one may be found. The reception is at 201, if you go directly to 205, there is an empty front desk.

GGuest UserVery satisfied! Clean and tidy, the bathroom is spacious and bright, and the stay was very comfortable. The front desk staff was also very polite. I really want to praise it. It's excellent value. Although the location is a little far from the city center, transportation is very convenient. There are supermarkets, Burger King, Lidl, etc. nearby, which is very convenient. It's also not far from the train station. Most importantly, the room is very good, with a sound system, and it's very clean. I forgot to take pictures of the room, but it basically matches the description. It has air conditioning and an adjustable shower. The only thing is that there's a big grasshopper picture on the wall, which is a bit strange. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied! I can't find any problems! I will choose this hotel again when I visit Cologne next time!

GGuest UserLocation and upkeep of the room are fantastic. Certainly a great choice if commuting in and out Cologne by train. However the customer service at the reception was horrible. He was unwelcoming and unhelpful. We arrived exactly at 3pm for check-in and were told the room is not available and needed to wait 30min, then we saw a small waiting group forming and when the other guests asked the other check-in receptionist, he said it's ok to check-in. Normally when the room isn't available, you would still process the check-in first but the first officer just brushed us off. Then we asked if there is a toilet and were told it's on 2nd floor but when my mom went up it's locked. So they made my old folks wait and not able to go toilet. Overall reception experience was just unfriendly and unhelpful but we were only staying a night so it's still a good choice for us for the convenience.

GGuest UserWhen I was checking in, I was a little worried the staff would be unable to speak English. However the two receptionists who helped me were perfectly fluent and answered any questions I had. I did unfortunately have to pay a city tax on top of my room, but it wasn’t expensive and this is a common thing in most hotels in Europe.
The room itself was pretty decent and had plenty of space for my suitcase and to walk around. The en-suite was great and had good towels and hot shower. The bed was comfy with a good mattress and duvet wise, but the pillows were a bit limp and didn’t have a lot in them. I spoke to another member of staff who spoke little English, who said he’d look and bring one to my room, but this never happened. Whatever the case, still had a good sleep, would have better with extra head comfort.
As for breakfast, there was a great variety of choice from fry-up food (bacon, sausages, eggs) to continental pastries and drinks. I would say the only downside was there was not enough for fruit, as there was only a few apples and plates of sliced oranges. Would have been better if there was more to choose fruit wise, but everything else was great and was a good fuel up for the day in Cologne.
When checking out, they also allowed me to place my luggage and bags in their storage room with zero charge which is great when you’re exploring for the day and have a later departure time.
Overall, if you’re in Cologne for a day (like me) or two, this place is a great option and I would stay here again!

LLiaoachafengmenglongThe hotel next to the Cologne Church, the location is OK, six or seven minutes walk from the train station! There is a free coffee machine next to the front desk on the first floor. You can enjoy the room card at will. There are tea bags, hot tea, and the machine can make coffee and hot cocoa. The room is large and spacious, the only downside is that the curtains are not shading enough!

Rrickan2000A rather basic hotel, but worthy of its price. The hotel is suitable for people with a limited budget but who want to live here for a long time. In addition to ordinary hotel rooms, there are also public living rooms and public bathrooms (that is, there are also rooms without bathrooms). The overall feel is more like a student dormitory. The room was very cold when I arrived. I searched for a long time before I realized that the heating was not turned on. So my impression of this hotel is cold and bleak, and I guess I won't go there again in the future. But it would be unfair to say that this hotel has nothing good to offer.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of days. The room was quite old, the furniture and interior needed updating, but everything was clean and tidy. The main plus for us was the delicious breakfast - a good selection of dishes, everything fresh and high-quality. If you need a place for a short stop and you value a good breakfast, then this hotel is quite suitable. But for a long term, it might be worth considering something more modern.

HHazel CYBThough it is an old hotel, it is clean and well kept. There is a tiny lift (no sweat with luggages). Room has beautiful courtyard view. Sound proofing needs some work 😅
Room was warm as it faced west, asked for a table fan.
Buffet continental breakfast has a good selection of cheese.
Overall it is well worth the money. Friendly staff.
We could check in at 10.30am as the room was ready.
