"The hotel is a bit far from Cologne Central Station. While access to tourist attractions isn't great, it's close to the subway station. Being away from the city center means it's very quiet at night. The room had almost no amenities, but I was able to borrow a kettle, plates, and forks from the front desk. The room itself was very clean."

"Had a lovely stay, the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We requested a room close to the elevator and they gave us a spacious one just as we asked. The location is fantastic, especially if you're visiting during the Christmas market season; everything is within walking distance. The only downsides were the weak internet connection, so it’s better to have your own data plan if you rely on being online, and bed sheets are only changed upon request. Overall, still a pleasant experience and would recommend for the location, helpful staff and lovely spacious rooms!"

"Facilities: The hotel is quite old, and the elevator is tiny, full of vintage charm. The main issue was the bathroom: there's no floor drain, so after showering, the whole bathroom was flooded. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was decent. Environment: It's not far from the station and there are plenty of good places to eat nearby, which is convenient. Service: It was alright, nothing special."

"The room was great, the location was good, and the air was fresh. The chocolate sauce at breakfast was excellent. The host was very polite and arranged a taxi for us. The hotel environment was also very nice. The young couple downstairs looked quite nice."

"Built in 1999, the hotel has an older design but is well-functioning. We booked a room with a church view, which was spacious. However, the bathroom only offered a 3-in-1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash, which doesn't quite meet the standards of similarly priced hotels in the city. A rather interesting feature is the grand lobby; at first glance, I thought it was a shopping mall! The piano bar on the first floor had a great atmosphere in the evening, until we realized the music seemed to be from a speaker and not actually played by a person, haha (or maybe the pianist had just finished their shift when we passed by)."

"The Dorint hotel is in a very central location with wonderful views of the cathedral. The staff were very professional (from pre-trip communication to check-in and check-out) and super friendly. The hotel is huge and has lifts to all floors. The room was large with ample furniture (larger bed than usual, built-in suitcase stand, full desk, armchair) and the decor a palimpsest of older furniture zhuzhed up with wall coverings, a decorative vase, floor lights in addition to bedside table lamps and desk light, etc. There was even a kettle to make tea and coffee, and a fridge, which was much appreciated! The bed was on the soft side and the pillows rather thin and fluffy, which was not quite to my liking. However, the blackout curtains and well-insulated windows made for a quiet night's sleep, despite the roads and building sites outside. It was still possible to open one window to let fresh air in. All in all, a very good experience."

"The hotel is very close to the Cologne Exhibition Hall, and it only takes a few minutes to walk there. The receptionist is very friendly. The room is clean and sanitary, and there is plenty of hot water. Disadvantages: Breakfast is a bit expensive at 28 euros; the quilt is too thin and too short (but not cold). Summary: I will choose this place again when I attend the Cologne Exhibition next time."

"This hotel offers good value for money in Cologne. The facilities are a little dated, but the staff are very welcoming. Getting to Cologne Cathedral is super convenient; it's just a short walk across from the main train station. Although the hotel is visibly older, it's still quite comfortable."

GGuest UserStayed as a couple at Club King Double room for 5 nights during the Amphi Festival. Pros: - Unbeatable location, walking distance to everything while not within the Old Town which is way too touristy. Five-minute walk from the train that takes you straight to the airport. - Room 99% soundproof, very private and peaceful (stayed at the Club floor, 6/6). - Amazing bed. - Full-size working desk in the room. - Daytime service very professional, helpful, and friendly. - The Club Floor lounge has it's own very good breakfast buffet (included with the Club rooms at no extra cost - apart from the higher cost of the Club room itself - so you might skip paying extra for the regular breakfast at the restaurant). Also daytime tea with cake and an evening snack are served as well. The snack could become your legitimate dinner if you need it, as there are hot options and appetizers. Amazing view of the cathedral from the Lounge. - The food was amazing. Cons: - The night shift staff is not at the same level as the day shift, so try to resolve your matters during the day. - Some visible wear and tear in the room (not important to me, but might bother some who expect everything to be 100% at this price point). Overall: - Highly recommend, would stay again.

DDdawidsonThe hotel is just by the Rhein river and next to the Chocolate museum. Walk slowly along the river towards the Cathedral and soak in the beauty of Koln. The staff Kyra is very friendly and helpful, throughout our 2-week trip in Europe, she was on my top 1. The size of the room is great with a pretty large wash basin outside the toilet, so it is very convenient. The room comes with a kettle, a complimentary bottle of sparkling water, 2pcs of mini chocolate, a few packets of coffee and tea. For less than 100euro a night, this is a very nice touch. In the lobby there are water station and fruit basket. Really love this hotel.

The location was convenient, about a five-minute walk from the nearby bus stop. Tourist attractions like Cologne Cathedral and the Old Town are easily accessible by public transportation or taxi. Small supermarkets and small eateries are nearby, making daily groceries and meals convenient. The room was of moderate size, spacious enough for a single occupancy but a bit cramped for a double. The furniture and furnishings showed some signs of use, but were generally clean and tidy, and the bedding was perfectly soft, ensuring a pleasant sleep. The bathroom had a nice, dry/wet area with a reliable hot water supply. The toiletries were basic, but those with skincare needs are advised to bring their own. Regarding service, the front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Check-in and check-out were both prompt and helpful. They patiently answered questions about directions to attractions, but they didn't proactively offer any extra touches (such as local recommendations or extended luggage storage). Breakfast is a simple buffet with basic items like bread, ham, eggs, coffee, and juice. The taste is quite satisfactory and can satisfy your hunger, but those who seek a richer meal may find it a bit monotonous. SSebastianThe location of the Adina Hotel is very good. It is close to the train station, very convenient, and at the same time surprisingly quiet, which I really appreciated. What I liked most is that the room is well equipped for a longer stay. Having a full-sized fridge, a washing machine, and basic cooking facilities makes a big difference and adds a lot of comfort. The gym is perfectly fine, and there is also a swimming pool, which is a nice bonus. Overall, I was quite happy staying here for an extended period. There are a few downsides though. Housekeeping is supposed to happen every three days, but in reality it is quite irregular and unpredictable. Sometimes it does not happen at all unless you actively ask for it, which is a bit annoying. There is an app to request services, but unfortunately it did not work properly during my stay. Breakfast is okay but very basic and repetitive. The selection was exactly the same every day over two weeks, which gets boring quickly. In general, it is a good hotel for a longer stay, especially if you value space and self-service facilities, but there is room for improvement in housekeeping consistency and breakfast variety.

GGuest UserWhen I was checking in, I was a little worried the staff would be unable to speak English. However the two receptionists who helped me were perfectly fluent and answered any questions I had. I did unfortunately have to pay a city tax on top of my room, but it wasn’t expensive and this is a common thing in most hotels in Europe. The room itself was pretty decent and had plenty of space for my suitcase and to walk around. The en-suite was great and had good towels and hot shower. The bed was comfy with a good mattress and duvet wise, but the pillows were a bit limp and didn’t have a lot in them. I spoke to another member of staff who spoke little English, who said he’d look and bring one to my room, but this never happened. Whatever the case, still had a good sleep, would have better with extra head comfort. As for breakfast, there was a great variety of choice from fry-up food (bacon, sausages, eggs) to continental pastries and drinks. I would say the only downside was there was not enough for fruit, as there was only a few apples and plates of sliced oranges. Would have been better if there was more to choose fruit wise, but everything else was great and was a good fuel up for the day in Cologne. When checking out, they also allowed me to place my luggage and bags in their storage room with zero charge which is great when you’re exploring for the day and have a later departure time. Overall, if you’re in Cologne for a day (like me) or two, this place is a great option and I would stay here again!

GGuest UserI had a great stay at Hotel Flandrischer Hof! The location is excellent — right in the heart of Cologne and just a short walk from everything I needed. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, which made it easy to relax after a busy day. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was tasty with a good variety. I’d definitely stay here again next time I visit the city. Great value for the price!

GGuest UserStruggled to get through to the hotel as the phone number on the app used to make booking was in correct. The hotel is easy to find and transport links from the airport I give a 10/10 plus connection to the city was super easy. Upon arrival, the service desk staff were pleasant and apologised. Finally checked in and the room was clean and well done. However, my room was facing the major road and extremely noisy during the entire stay as the road is a busy one.  Ordered a late dinner and disappointed with my under done beef patty, the bun it came with required an electric knife to get through. I did complain and an apology was given.  Now, the hotel room doors bang whenever they’re being closed and made my stay unbearable. Something definitely needs to be done as I was put off!! Before retiring to bed, I hung the notice to not be disturbed..alas! the following morning after breakfast I just wanted to have a quiet time but I was rudely interrupted, disturbed coupled with the loud doors as the cleaners went about their inspections 2 x in a space of 10 minutes.  I would have loved to stay here on future visits but it’s a NO!!  The breakfast was lovely, sauna and swimming pool facilities too. I did not use the gym. Otherwise it’s in a good safe location.

AAnonymous UserThe location is perfect, only few minutes walk from the central station. The staff was also nice and friendly, enough support. And there is dryer available, which was nice. But overall, the room and corridor looks really like a prison or hospital, not at all giving the vibe of holiday stay... Luggage storage was available for free! we can store luggage until 11pm on the day of check out. There was no kitchen. There is locker OUTSIDE the room, which is so weird. We need to use our own padlock to lock the locker but most of them were occupied or not working (broken). Even with the padlock, it could be open easily so I did not use the locker. It seemed there is not enough number of lockers available compared to the number of the rooms and beds, at least lockers that are not broken. There is no curtain no privacy, even is a mixed gender room. It really feeled like a jail or something. The bedside light is too bright so that if one of us turn it on, the whole room could be bright enough, which is ridiculous. Also the sound proof was terrible that we can hear people outside singing, screaming and DJ-ing midnight, even with our windows and curtains closed. The sound of closing the door was so loud and the door seemed half broken. Also we could hear people talking in the corridor. The shower and toilet were also outside the room and they smelled so bad. Did not feel clean.

From Köln Hbf (Cologne Central Station), it's just a few minutes' walk after taking the train from Breslauer Platz. The quiet hours were well-implemented; no one was making noise.
