"Our stay at Hotel Oktogon was very pleasant. The staff were consistently warm and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. The whole building was air-conditioned, which was a welcome relief after a long day out in the heat. Our room had lovely high ceilings that made it feel spacious, along with AC. The hotel's architecture is beautiful too, especially the main hall, which added real character. Breakfast was another highlight: a fresh, varied buffet spread that tasted deliciou and great value for the price. The location is excellent too, central with plenty of restaurants nearby. Highly recommend !"

"This was our second time staying at this hotel, and once again we had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, within walking distance of all the main attractions, and the price is very reasonable considering its central location. We stayed for one night and were disappointed that we couldn't extend our stay for another two nights because the hotel was fully booked for the weekend. In the future, we will definitely choose this hotel again because of its excellent value for money and the quality of the services provided. Our room was on the third floor overlooking the inner courtyard, so it was very quiet and we had a great night's sleep. The room was clean and comfortable. We didn't have breakfast, so we can't comment on it, but everything else met our expectations."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 nights in my cosy cabin. It’s not a luxury liner naturally, but staff are really friendly & helpful (e.g. with travel advice for looking around, lending kettle, iron etc). In the evenings I sat on the deck watching the river boats - see my photo of night boat cruising by! Breakfast was plentiful - it was the same each day but most folk don’t stay long enough to mind that."

"The hotel provides water dispensers with fresh drinking water available daily, which is very convenient and contributes positively to overall comfort. In addition, fresh juices are offered, providing a pleasant and refreshing option throughout the day. It is also worth highlighting that there is a selection of desserts available without added sugar, which is a thoughtful and health-conscious offering. Furthermore, the bus stop is very easily accessible on foot and offers quick and convenient connections to the city center, making it simple to explore the area without the need for a car."

"The place is beautiful, the atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. The location is not close to public transport, but it is easy to call a car via app to the train station and soon be in the center of Budapest. The only bad thing is the breakfast. The breads are not fresh and there is little variety of fruits. They need to improve the breakfast."

"It’s location is close to the tram line and some shops and restaurants. Also, staff in the hotel is super welcoming. Highly recommended. "Staying on a boat hotel is different and fun. This one was in a prime location, diagonally across from the Parliament buildings. Our cabin was small but comfortable, with padded, fabric-covered walls for a cozy feeling and good sound insulation. We enjoyed walking the upper deck at night, watching the moon rise over the bridge. The breakfast room was nicely situated to take advantage of the river view, and the breakfast itself was good. All the staff was extremely courteous and professional. Would stay there again, and recommend to others."

"Solid 4.5 ⭐ in my book Hotel with a business vibe, a bit tricky location if you plan to use public transportation, because the majority of the routes require either switching lines or extra walking, but if you're looking for a dipped in green, quiet area, overlooking the Danube River, this would be the perfect one. And if you're driving that's going to be easy for you. The view of the river and Margaret Island are amazing. Amenities are pretty decent, spectacular gym with multiple devices, split to 2 floors. Has a best spa, including saunas, jacuzzi (with the varying temperatures), although the swimming pool was inactive during August, which was really disappointing especially for the kids. Breakfast was very good, though repetitive, but most will be very happy with variety and coffee and drinking options as well. Staff is very accommodating and is quickly attending any issue raised. We stayed in a Junior Suite room, that was very pleasant and modern and fully compatible for our 2+2 room capacity."
