"Fantastic stay in Ulaanbaatar – highly recommended! Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. For a hotel right in the city center during peak season, the price was super reasonable. The room is well-maintained and the decor still feels quite fresh and modern. The location is absolutely perfect. It is within easy walking distance to all the main tourist spots in Ulaanbaatar, such as Sukhbaatar Square, the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, and the State Department Store. Given that traffic in downtown Ulaanbaatar is notoriously bad, walking is definitely much faster than taking a car! I was also impressed by the comprehensive range of toiletries provided. Everything you could possibly need—toothpaste, a comb, a razor, and a shower cap—was all there, and they even included a sewing kit! The staff speak fluent English, making communication a breeze. They were also incredibly helpful—after I checked out to head to Terelj National Park, they kindly assisted me in booking a taxi. If I ever visit Ulaanbaatar again, I will definitely choose to stay here!"

"The location of the hotel is by walking distance to attraction such as Chinggis Khan museum,Sukhbaatar square, Government Palace. Room is very spacious. Bathroom’s rainshower and headshower are excellent with strong water pressure. Highly recommended to stay at this hotel. Hotel staffs are polite and kind. Great view from the room overlooking a big local temple and houses on the hill."

"This is an old-established hotel; even the immigration officer knew it when I entered the country. Although some details in the room felt a bit odd (like the scarcity of power outlets or the extra-long shower curtain), you can tell they've made efforts to renovate in recent years. At least the room was spacious and clean, and the staff spoke basic English. You can order breakfast to be delivered to your room for 15,000 MNT (the apple was bought separately). There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so daily life is very convenient."

"Nice and brand new hotel Terelj National Park. Rooms are comfortable but the toilets are a little weird as the shower heads are fixed and there is no where to put your amenities when you are showering. But otherwise, can’t complain and the stay was comfortable."

"I really appreciated how clean the room always was. Fresh towels, toothpastes, toothbrushes, and other toiletries were available every day. The hotel had all the necessary amenities. For example, an ironing board and iron were provided, but there was no washing machine. Free breakfast was available for guests daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Happiness Hotel is a 40-minute walk from the train station."

"I stayed here the day before my flight home. There are local supermarkets nearby, and a shopping mall is just a short walk away. Gandan Monastery is also within walking distance. When I asked the hotel to arrange a taxi to the airport for the next morning, it cost 150,000 Tugriks, and they prepared a lunch box for me instead of breakfast. It seems like there are a lot of Korean guests, and it was a bit noisy at night."

But pre-ordering of taxi to airport is not available and staff can only call on the spot when transport service needed (uber like apps in Mongolia is not user friendly). Please note that the ride between airport and city centre (where this hotel is located) can take 1.5 hr long as there's serious traffic jam around the city centre."

The front desk staff, especially one guy, was incredibly warm and friendly, and spoke both Chinese and English. I caught a bit of a cold, and he even helped me buy some medicine! 👍🏻"

"This location of this hotel is quite strategic considering the number of restaurant, pubs and food outlets nearby provided you are willing to do some walking.. Hotel room is clean and service is commendable. I wish to highlight one particular front reception staff for special mention.Her name is ERDENEKHISHIG. She was kind & helpful and would go out of her way to provide service and assistance like calling a cab on our behalf. However this hotel also has her shortcomings. Breakfast is too basic and monotonous. Bread which is the most universal item is not available. Also check out time at 10am is ridiculously early. It also puzzles me that this hotel still provide smoking rooms which is totally umnecessary as the current trend is towards non smoking rooms for the whole hotel. I hope my positive feedback will help your hotel to upgrade her image further."
