I just got lucky to see Mount Fuji when I was taking a train from Kyoto to Tokyo. Visited Tokyo so many times this is by far the most clearest view I can see the entire Mount Fuji. Having grown accustomed to the fast pace of city life, I especially crave the slow pace of travel. No need to set alarms for early meetings; I can leisurely get up, find a small street stall for a unique breakfast, and then stroll along the riverbank. When I get tired, I can sit on some stone steps and bask in the sun. No need to reply to unread work messages, no need to rush through a packed schedule. I can slowly relax the nerves that have been stretched for months, and by the time I return home, I feel so light I could float.

I came to a farm with friends to pick tomatoes. The greenhouses were very clean, so we didn't have to walk in the mud. The tomatoes hanging on the vines were all bright red and perfectly firm to the touch. We picked one, wiped it clean, and took a bite. It was sweet with a hint of tartness, and the juice flowed right down. They were so much fresher than the artificially ripened tomatoes we buy in supermarkets. You can sample as many as you want in the garden, and they charge by weight after you pick them. The prices are very reasonable. We brought our kids along, and they picked and ate as they went. They were all sweaty but happy, which was much more fun than going to the mall.

Lack of explanation of their amenities and what needs to be booked on checking in. Eg Concierge not aware that the jazz club needed to be booked in advance. Not his fault really as he has perhaps never been trained On arrival to the club, we were then literally ushered out to our embarrassment as all other sitting guests observed this as there were three members of staff attempting to use body language as they could not communicate in English nor did they wish to use their phone translate app. Very unlike Japanese people’s calm and kind style.

During my two-night stay, one night I couldn't fall asleep until the subway stopped running in the middle of the night. The next morning, I was woken up by the noise around 7 AM. I groggily recorded a video, but my phone's microphone near the bed didn't capture it well. The actual sound is about one to two times louder than what's in the video. The room also didn't provide earplugs, which is quite unbearable – I'm deducting 70 points for this. There were noticeable marks on the room walls and the bathroom floor, so I'm taking off another 50 points. The carpet is old and somewhat damaged, and the room looks dingy. For a room that costs over 1500 per night, this warrants another 60-point deduction. So, this is a hotel with overly distinct pros and cons.FromPHP 8,986

The room was quite spacious for Tokyo standards, and very clean. The service was excellent, and the hotel's location is incredibly convenient. It's directly connected to the Hanzomon subway line, and you can reach the hotel straight from Exit 4 of Suitengumae Station. Plus, the airport bus stop is right outside the main entrance to your left. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Tokyo!
