This B&B is absolutely amazing! It's no exaggeration to say the panoramic view is breathtaking; no other B&B can compare. Their panoramic rooms offer the only unobstructed panoramic views of the ancient village, a sea of ​​scattered old houses. This perspective is truly unique! They even have their own panoramic viewing deck. Just brew a pot of tea, sit there, and gaze at the mountain scenery and village before you. The breeze will make you feel relaxed and refreshed. It's a truly refreshing feeling! The proprietress's photography skills are incredible. She can create stunning photos from any angle, and with the unparalleled views, you won't be able to fit them all into your Instagram feed; every single one is absolutely amazing! The location is also incredibly convenient. It takes less than two minutes to walk to the snack street. Wake up in the morning and head straight for the delicious local breakfast snacks. If you're visiting Guifeng, this B&B is a no-brainer. You won't regret it!

Initially booked a deluxe queen suite and Trip.com / hotel confirmed we could add a single bed. Upon arrival, hotel said they couldn't and changed us to a family suite even though they have rollaway beds available and the deluxe queen suite had ample space. Room: Family suite is spacious but A/C took very long to warm up the room. Bathroom is open concept with clothing rack situated outside the shower closet which makes it inconvenient to dress/undress. Breakfast buffet has a decent selection of Chinese dishes including a noodle station. Location: Hotel is ＜10 min drive from train station and old town area which is quite convenient considering that most of the hotels that are walking distance from the old town are dated and undermaintained.

I'd heard about the new five-star hotel in Taining and was really impressed upon arrival! The hotel is built into the mountainside, with the lobby and restaurant on the 7th floor. The guest rooms all overlook the lake, offering lake views that cascade down the hillside, somewhat reminiscent of the Shanghai Sheshan Wonderland Hotel – very unique. The rooms are spacious and well-designed, with a large bathtub in the bathroom – I loved it! The bathroom also features a separate shower and toilet. It was a wonderful vacation with my best friend. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the service was attentive. The air conditioning was pre-set for dinner, making it warm and cozy in the freezing Taining. For lunch, we ordered a simple meal at the restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the fried rice and the mixed fruit and pork belly – a perfect combination. The staff and chef even came to check on our preferences, which was very thoughtful. I forgot to take a picture of the afternoon's special 9.9 yuan coffee, but it was such a great deal! The coffee was authentic and incredibly fragrant, and it even came with a glutinous rice cake – such a high-value meal! I'm worried they might be losing money. 😘💪 In short, this trip to Bajian was totally worth it! 👍👍👍

We booked a 38-square-meter family room, but stayed in a 10-square-meter room. The inn didn't have an elevator, and climbing up was a bit of a struggle for us, a 70-year-old. The bathroom didn't have a toilet, just a squat toilet, and getting up after squatting was a struggle. Showering was done with the toilet lid on top, which was tiny. The shower head couldn't be adjusted, so we had to hold it up with our hands to wash. We had originally planned to stay and not move, but had no choice but to find another hotel. This one listed online as 25 square meters, but it was more than double the 38-square-meter size! I wish all businesses would operate with integrity.

Nice hotel, right in the most attractive part of Taining town. It's a few minutes walk from the historic district, right on the river front. Easy access also to get to the natural scenic areas of the region. The hotel itself is nice, clean, well-maintained. The room is spacious and has modern features. The staff is very helpful, they do their best to accommodate a laowai customer. The only critique I have that is true for the vast majority of the hotels in China that the breakfast isn't exactly attractive for foreigners. One can of course eat Chinese breakfast with steamed buns and spicy soups and things like that most of the time, but occasionally I wouldn't mind to have a western style option available too. In a four star hotel I would expect this to be on the menu

The boss is friendly and parking is convenient, but the prices in the scenic area are too expensive. One pound of ordinary freshwater fish costs nearly 50 yuan. Also, the traffic cameras nearby may mistakenly capture violations. I was mistakenly photographed for not wearing a seat belt, and I succeeded after appealing. My good mood was affected. Friends who drive should be careful.

The decor is tasteful, not the cold, impersonal kind of luxury, but rather a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to linger. What I loved most was the outdoor balcony, filled with so many flowers and plants—it was incredibly relaxing. The location is fantastic, super easy to find, and importantly, the hotel has parking. It's also incredibly close to all sorts of delicious restaurants, basically within walking distance! There are also plenty of late-night snacks nearby, and they're really tasty! 🥳
