Courtyard Inverness Airport

Stayed here recently when i was touring Scotland. A very nice hotel. Location quite far from Inverness city centre. There is no expressway to and from this hotel at the airport. So the drive can be slow due to the small roads. The close proximity to the airport does not present any aircraft noise problem. But I could hear my neighbour's hair dryer. I like the size of the room and the bathroom. Larger than most hotels. I particularly like the walkin shower as my wife and I can't climb in and out of bath tubs. The breakfast was great even though the variety of choices may not be as large as other Marriott brands of hotels. Fried eggs need to be ordered. The sunnyside up was the best i have eaten. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful. You must register your car to avoid being charged. But I am sure with the many talents in the entire Marriott group, I am sure they can think of a better way to manage the parking system without their customers complaining on Internet. Overall my wife and I enjoyed our stay.

I was 100% satisfied, except for the fact that the location is a bit far from Inverness city center. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the coffee and tea service, as well as the breakfast service, were all impressive.

The room is spacious and clean. The only hiccup was that, at first, we got a room with a double bed despite booking a family room on Trip.com. When I asked the reception staff, she said there was no family room per se in the building, and in the booking that they had, it didn't say that I wanted a family room or how many people would be sleeping in the room. For them, a family room is a room with a double bed and an extra bed. The staff managed to change our room to one with an extra bed ready, so it wasn't a problem.

Located along the River Ness and not far from the city center. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good - full Scottish breakfast. The bed was extremely comfortable as I slept rather well. I stayed in the main building which had older decoration but as I was out and about so much it didn’t matter to me. I would definitely stay again the next visit to Inverness!

Loch Ness Country House Hotel

I chose a hotel near Loch Ness during the trip in the Highlands. When I checked in, it was drizzling and dark. The driver almost drove to the next door according to the navigation. It didn't seem to be the first time I met. I told us the direction of the hotel friendly. The lights were quickly seen on the dark trail, and the English country villas came into view. The front desk of the hotel was not big, the fire in the front hall was red, and the haze was warm. The room is a separate farmhouse next to the main building. It is on the sandy stone path and opens the door. The temperature of the room is warm and bright, as if returning home. Open the door in the morning, the fresh air is coming, the morning light is shining, and everything is quiet when looking at the green mountains in the distance. Breakfast must be English style, a single order of a freshly made English country full meal or Benedict is a good choice. Not enough to order a buffet meal. Or croissants or cheese or fruit. It is always so rushed by tourists, and they are on the road after breakfast.

The Clansman Hotel is a nice place. We were traveling as a family. The view of the Loch from the dining room was wonderful; our rooms didn't have a view but we were OK with that. The food was excellent - my grandson especially loved the full English breakfast; the lady who checked us in was very friendly. Overall it was a lovely experience. Thank you.

Evening event dinner was at best poor. Starter which should have been hot was cold, main course just warm, the desert had run out by the time our table was served.  The hotel toilets were in need of an attendant checking regularly .  We ended up laughing about it with references to faulty towers.  However our room was beautiful, clean, well presented, the bed was very comfortable.  We had a great night sleep.  At breckfast the arm of my chair was loose and lifted up when I would go to move my chair in/out from the table.  When I was looking around the continental breckfast counter I could hear a male member of the kitchen staff shouting and swearing using the F word, not at all what I expected from any Hotel.  Lasting impression I would not rush back.

We arrived later afternoon Andy received us with biscuits what a warm welcome. It has a homely feel with old school locking key, had a fish supper which compliments to the chef Peter was fabulous, great dinner atmosphere with other guests at restaurant and bar/lounge. Spacious clean room, quality linen and warm enough one minus next door guy snored through our walls (not hotel's fault). The hot breakfast was served to order which is fab as it gets to you hot and fresh also avoiding waste and dry dull food. So keep it up guys. And keep getting everyone up early enough.

Hotel is located outside of the city centre. It takes 5 mins by bus and 25 mins by walk to reach the city centre. The bus stop is nearby. Not much food options near the hotel, only there are KFC and a fish and chips shop. The hotel is clean, room is cleaned every day. Breakfast is English style with same menu every day. The breakfast is served from 7 am which is late as we had to catch coach for daytrip which starts from city centre at 7:30. Though I had booked room with breakfast from Trip.com, the receptionist was asking to book the breakfast again as it seems trip.com doesn't share the breakfast booking with hotel. So receptionist asked to show the proof of breakfast booking which was awkward. Other than this minor issues, overall experience was good.
