InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa

9.5/10
Amazing

The InterContinental Golf Resort is quite a distance from the city center and the airport. However, if you're not planning to visit the outer islands in Fiji, the InterContinental is probably the best choice. The sea views are much better compared to city hotels, making it a great place for a relaxing vacation. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay – incredibly varied, and they were always quick to replenish everything, so there were always fresh options available. The environment was also beautiful and comfortable. The front desk and shuttle bus service provided the best experience. Lunch and dinner felt a bit less impressive compared to breakfast. On our last night, we got caught in a heavy downpour. The restaurant initially started to leak, and then we had to move to the middle section. We didn't even finish our meal and got wet. The drainage system seemed inadequate; the floor was quickly covered in water, and we had to brave the rain to get back to our room. We asked the restaurant to call a shuttle bus, but they said they were too busy and couldn't help, which resulted in us getting completely soaked. Our shoes were still wet the next day. I hope this can be improved. Overall, it was a good experience.

Great hotel with just about every facility you could ever want. Breakfast is vast… every choice possible. Waitui Beach Club worth every penny. Lovely Vietnamese restaurant for supper. Lagoon Pool for families is massive with loads of sunbeds. The beach bar is wonderful for light bites and also sunset. The staff are all first class. I can 100% recommend this hotel and it’s very near the airport and just walking distance to the port.

This is not up to standard with a 5-star resort. Overall it’s a nice stay, but overpriced and don’t go expecting 5-star luxury. It unfortunately has not kept up with the maintenance it has needed over the years. Negatives - had aircon issues and slept without aircon, they moved us rooms to fix this - had a leak above our shower in both tooms - fridge was broken in both rooms - lack of pool towels for number of guests, tried getting a pool towel on multiple occasions to be told they were out. When we eventually got some they were stained. - lack of snorkle gear for guests, we unfortunately couldn’t snorkle because they were always out. We spoke to other guests who went and bought some because they couldn’t get any either - aircon in rooms is very loud - internet access drops out constantly - we couldn’t watch tv as the internet was down for netflix on the tv and we were told we could only watch it on phones or ipads - food menus in the room are dirty and falling apart Positives - most of the staff is really friendly - adults only pool is calm and quiet - good assortment of activities and things to do in the hotel - staff is mostly helpful when you need things We actually tried to refund the end of our stay so we could leave. I wouldn’t recommend it to people and just know if you do stay here it is more like a 3 to 4 star resort.

A very VERY strange experience here I must say.. I arrived at the 28 bed dorm room (even though trip.com said it was 10 bed) and there was no sign of any other life in the dorm at all. Most of the beds looked like they had been made months ago and nobody had slept in them since because they were covered in a layer of dust and dirt.. I went back to reception to ask what was going on and they said I’m the only one booked in so I just accepted it as it was. However, later on when I was sitting the bar a member of staff approached me and told me I had been upgraded (because supposedly the dorms weren’t clean due to a big group having checked out yesterday) so I ended up spending two nights in a luxurious Bure, the first night shared with someone else who was booked in for the dorms. The Bure was beautiful and spotless and I am very grateful for the upgrade. The outside shower was also very nice! The breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from! Eggs, sausages, beans, bread, cakes, yogurts, fruit, multiple cereals, tea, coffee and juice, one morning there were pancakes. The only downsides to this resort is they don’t have any activities or excursions of their own and they direct you to the hotel further along - I did snorkelling there which costs $75 - the whole thing felt rushed in my opinion and the trip wasn’t worth the money. We got barely any time in the water and there was no time to stop and observe anything, seemed like the guys on the boat just wanted to get it all over and done with as fast as possible.

DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji - Sonaisali Island

Very Good

We had a very pleasant stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji - Sonaisali Island. The biggest highlight of this hotel is definitely the staff — everyone was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always trying to help with a smile. You can tell the team really cares about the guests, and that makes a huge difference. The hotel itself is quite remote and isolated, which can be either a positive or a negative depending on what you are looking for. There is no real private beach for swimming, so don’t expect a classic white-sand Fiji beach resort experience. However, the location is absolutely perfect for sunsets. The evening atmosphere is beautiful, calm, and very relaxing. The breakfast is not really at a 5-star level in terms of variety or quality, but it is still more than sufficient and you will definitely find enough options to start the day well. One thing that really feels outdated though: charging extra for Wi-Fi in the rooms in 2026 is honestly absurd. Hilton, seriously — what decade are we living in? Free room Wi-Fi should be standard at this level nowadays.

Great place to stay if you’re on a budget. You could easily take the city bus to the town centre and everyone at the stay is very helpful. Tour pick up available too! Amazing!

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel has a great location—right by the beach, perfect for enjoying beautiful sunsets. There's also a convenient store nearby with a restaurant upstairs that serves delicious food. Our deluxe room was clean but near the main entrance so a bit noisy at times. The only downside was the bathroom. The shower took a long time to produce hot water, resulting in wasted water and often uncomfortably cold showers. The water pressure was also quite low. Additionally, there was no shelf near the sink to place toiletries like toothpaste, which made things a bit inconvenient.

Very warm personal service in this long year established resort - we loved the snorkelling 🤿 direct in front of the resort. You get here excellent value for money. Rooms are well equipped and tidy. The food is delicious and offers daily variations.

Club Fiji Resort

We stayed at Club Fiji for our entire 5-day visit, and after exploring the area during our stay, we believe it was the best choice in Nadi. Why did we love it? The location is fantastic — right on the beach (we stayed in a beachfront bure), close to the airport but without any airplane noise. There’s a convenient free shuttle to many activities like the Vau Contemporary Dance performance or a Denarau snorkel cruise, and a taxi to Nadi town costs about 10 FJD. Our beachfront bure was newly renovated, clean, and had everything we needed — not fancy but comfortable. The beds were made regularly if we weren’t in the room when housekeeping came by. The grounds are stunning, with beautifully kept gardens and loads of chill-out spots — beach beds under umbrellas, hammocks on palm trees, two pools, and lovely spaces to eat or have a drink. The service was very personal, with staff always checking if we needed anything. They even have a travel expert on-site to help plan your activities and bookings. Entertainment happens most nights, ranging from the unique way dinners are served (like Korean grills or beach BBQs) to concerts and local celebrations. Food-wise, the buffet breakfast is simple but adequate since there are few other options nearby; the à la carte dinner menu is decent, but the special grills are outstanding. We really loved the authentic Fijian atmosphere here, which felt very different from the typical all-inclusive resorts—it had a feeling you couldn’t find just anywhere in the world.
