Hotels in Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area, Beijing

Apart from the renovation which we were told beforehand, the room we had was dark (probably because it was a windowless room), humid, aircon wasn’t strong but they provided a fan. Could smell urine even with the toilet seat covered, toilet door was closed, to a point that i was awaken by the foul smell. Had to spray perfume to have it barely covered. Ventilation was super bad. Cons aside, service was good, fridge in room had free drinks. Would recommend to book a window room if you had to even though friend that stayed in the window room said it was bad too. There’s a mall few minutes walk away which was a plus. Good view on the reception floor too.

The room amenities weren't great. In the first room, 213, the door couldn't be deadbolted, and the bed was so old it creaked loudly with every turn, making it hard to sleep at night – I was afraid to even move! The bathroom curtain didn't block out any light, and it kept letting light in from different spots, making me feel exposed while showering. There were no tissues in the room, only one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, which was inconvenient as I had to go to the bathroom every time I needed a tissue. For the next four days, I stayed in room 109 on the first floor, which was better, at least the door lock worked. The only issue was that the water heater in the triple room was too small for three people to shower consecutively; one person had to wait half an hour after the other, and this was in 20-degree weather – I can only imagine how bad it would be in winter! The female receptionist was very kind, but the male receptionist's service attitude needs improvement. The male and female staff sitting at the front entrance, I'm not sure what their roles were, but their service was just average. Overall, I wasn't very satisfied.

Great location, free laundry, comfortable fresh room. It was quiet when I was there in July, so I had a good sleep. Stayed there on my way back home, originally intended to stay at a different hotel on Wangfujing (the one I stayed at before), but very glad I booked this hotel instead. The gym has several treadmills, it is right next to the laundry, so you can use it during the wait. The staff at the reception was friendly and professional. There's tea and yogurt served at the reception area. I really enjoyed the hotel overall. The only minor downsides were: 1) several patches of dust I found on the bed after the cleaning one day, 2) the tea supplied at the tea station was not a standard tea and had rather unusual taste (not bad, but different).

An absolutely top-notch hotel! The rooms are clean, bright, and highly intelligent, featuring a washlet toilet 🚽, which is a big plus, and excellent wet/dry separation. The shower stall is separate, and the bedding is spotless. The service is first-rate, warm, and genuine. There's a huge courtyard and a terrace. The location is super convenient for transportation, and there are plenty of snack shops and restaurants nearby, perfect for both business and leisure.

The location is the main reason we booked this hotel, it’s in a great spot. The staff was also very kind, but the room seemed not very clean. There were marks all over the walls, stains on the curtains and on the floor, and one of the elevators was covered in wood on the inside which was odd. The other thing I disliked was the bathroom wall is glass and the light on the toilet and mirror couldn’t be shut off so there was light shining into the bedroom all night.

This was our first trip to Beijing with the kids, and we chose the Family Suite at Sofitel Beijing. The hotel's location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to Jianguomen subway station, making it super convenient to transfer between Line 1 and Line 2. Both the front desk and restaurant staff were incredibly attentive. Seeing that we had two children, they kindly offered complimentary breakfast for them and made every effort to accommodate our requests regarding our stay. The room itself was spacious, 80 square meters, featuring a 1.8m king-size bed and a 1.6m sofa bed. It also had a dining area with a round table and a separate relaxation area with a small coffee table. The bathroom boasted a massive circular bathtub, which the kids absolutely loved! The housekeeping staff, Zhou Xiuling, Su Nannan, and their supervisor Feng Jun, provided exceptional service. They replenished our amenities promptly and were very responsive to our needs. We'll definitely choose Sofitel Beijing again on our next visit!

Don't let the hotel's small facade fool you; once you step inside, it's a completely different world! The room was incredibly cozy, clean, and odor-free. My child needed a nap during their college entrance exams, and the hotel proactively offered a late check-out, which was incredibly thoughtful. Highly recommend!

This hotel has a very large room area, floor-to-ceiling windows, very good lighting and complete supporting facilities. The location is in Sanlitun, near the work body, and the transportation is very convenient. It is the best choice for business trips and business trips.

We changed to this hotel due to its proximity to Wangfujing. We walked to Tiananmen, Palace Museum the next morning. Our flight reached Beijing at 23:00. We sent a message in advance to the hotel via Trip.com app, a day before leaving our country, to inform our late check-in time. The hotel replied that the reception is 24/7. A staff behind the counter turned on the light when we arrived passed 24:00. We can checked-in with no hassle. There was no sign for us to be hang at the door. Hotel provides house keeping services which include daily provisions of bottled water & toilet roll. Generally room was well kept and clean throughout our stay. There were many food shops around the hotel. We got our late night supper from the 7eleven downstairs after the late check-in. Recommended to anyone!

The room was great, and I loved that food deliveries could be brought right to my door by a robot. The location is super convenient, with popular spots like Siji Minfu and Grandpa's Tea right downstairs. It's also not far from the shopping mall. I was really happy with this last-minute booking.
