"Overall a nice hotel, very close to the JR train station, just a couple of minutes walk away. The room size was very generous a lot bigger than others we’ve stayed at in Japan. The bathroom was also very spacious with a full size bath and powerful shower. The hotel provides nightwear and toiletries as well as coffee and laundry. Breakfast has a good variety of choices although can we quite busy as peak times and items do run out. I would recommend as a good convenient choice if travelling by train."

"This getaway was exactly what I wanted. Traditional, immersive, comfortable, accomodating. The staff came and greeted us in the car park, the dinner and breakfast was amazing, delicious, adventurous. And the onsen on the roof was perfect! The staff thoroughly explained their processes. I spoke some japanese and they spoke only some english but they were very accomating with us and welcoming. I would highly recommend and its also not far from town either. It snowed a little the night we stayed and it was so magical! We had our own private onsen at our room but the others in the ryokan are even better and available to be private, just lock door when your using."

However, some improvements are that they stipulate that each group of guests can only enjoy 40 minutes of hot springs, before dinner and the next day, and only 30 minutes in the morning. In essence, the time to enjoy the hot spring is very short.  When I have experienced a lot of hot spring hotels in the past, this one is the shortest, because the average is at least 50 minutes. Moreover, I only have three guests when I check in. They will not let us enjoy a little longer. It’s really a bit confusing. Not flexible enough!"

"Stayed on February 10th. The open-air bath with the snow falling was special! The staff at the inn were very responsive and we were able to talk about various things, making it a great trip. It was an inn that made me want to come again next time."
