Hotels with Breakfast in Malé

I was traveling with two older children, so I booked connecting rooms. Compared to other transit hotels, this one was much more affordable and offered great value for money. The rooms were overall very new, clean, hygienic, and odor-free, which is the most important factor for a transit hotel. However, the hotel's location is in a small alley, making it impossible to find a taxi on your own; you have to get out and walk a few dozen meters to reach it. They offer a pre-booked taxi service, initially quoted at $15 per ride, but they gave us a discount, so it was only $10. When we arrived, the connecting rooms weren't available, but they gave us two rooms across from each other at the original price, which was very trustworthy of them. I didn't see anyone holding a sign at the airport, so I asked the airport information desk, and they helped us call the hotel to successfully find our pickup. The hotel front desk was very enthusiastic in helping us contact our resort hotel and confirmed all the seaplane flight numbers, times, etc., in detail. They were very helpful and finally gave us a detailed note with all the information. I loved it. Highly recommended, it's an excellent transit hotel – clean, quiet, and good for sleeping, with airport transfers and a great price. Definitely worth recommending.

✨ Amazing Experience at The Somerset Hotel in Malé, Maldives! ✨ Just got back from Malé and I have to rave about my experience! From landing at the airport to the hotel, and even dining and getting around, everything was so comfortable, I didn't want to leave. 🥰 🚗 Transportation & Getting Around The hotel's location is absolutely perfect! Whether you're heading to the pier for a speedboat to another island, or exploring Malé city, it's incredibly convenient. During this trip, whether it was the expansive roads on the sea bridge or the narrow streets of the city, taking a taxi was always smooth. The drivers were really friendly too, so I didn't have to worry about transportation at all. It's super friendly for first-time visitors to Malé! 🏨 The Somerset Hotel Service & Details I felt so welcomed as soon as I arrived! The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and prepared welcome gifts for us. Even the envelope had my name printed on it – talk about attention to detail! The room was clean and tidy, with full amenities. The lounge area was tastefully decorated, and the corner with dried flower arrangements had a wonderful ambiance. Coming back to the hotel at night to unwind after a long day was truly therapeutic. 🍴 Dining Experience The hotel's restaurant was another fantastic surprise! - The seafood platter was incredibly generous! Crab, squid, mussels, clams... all fresh and plump. Paired with refreshing lemon and herbs, every bite was bursting with the taste of the sea. The portion was huge, easily enough for two people! - And then there was the local-style fried rice. The grains of rice were perfectly separated, complemented by tender chicken and a soulful spicy sauce. It was so fragrant, I polished off the entire plate! The side dishes like fries and grilled vegetables were also very flavorful, even the dipping sauce was so good I wanted to take it home. 😂 💖 Overall Impression Whether it was the convenience of transportation, the hotel service, or the dining experience, I couldn't find a single fault! Every day here was so relaxing and comfortable. It's an excellent choice for a transit or stopover in Malé. Next time I come to the Maldives, I'm definitely staying here again!

Overall: Pleasant stay with thoughtful amenities & good value. With a few small improvements, it could be even better. Pros: Green surroundings with plants give the hotel a refreshing feel. Elevator makes access easy. Interesting room design despite limited space. Rooftop restaurant offers cozy ambience with views of a beach tennis court & main road. Room includes a safe, stocked mini bar, & universal power sockets. Dinner & breakfast menus are decent. Booking via Trip.com provided good value for money. Staff are generally helpful. 24-hour convenience store located about five blocks away. Cons: Airport transfer not included; bus ride (MVR10 each way) plus short walk is manageable but inconvenient in rain. During the night, traffic noise can affect sleep if you are not a deep sleeper. Welcome drink policy unclear depending on booking source. Mini bar checks could be communicated immediately to avoid delays before flights. Coffee machine capsule policy (complimentary vs chargeable) needs clarification. Toilet roll holder placement in Room 103 is awkward. Remote controls could be cleaned more regularly. Shower grouting may need reinforcement. Toilet ventilation would benefit from an exhaust fan. Hangers with clips would be useful.

This hotel was perfect for our first night in the Maldives as a transitional stopover! The room was bigger and cleaner than I expected, and the service was warm and attentive! The airport transfer was seamless, and the rooftop view was a nice bonus!

Just a moment after we entered the door of Hotel Flora we were treated to drink a fresh mango juice and wet towels to wash our faces and hands. We spent less than five minutes to complete our formalities, personally guided to our room by a lovely receptionist who fully informed us about all necessary info on Male and local vendors. The suite we accommodated to our surprise was like an apartment: a bedroom , a bathroom, a living room with sofa, two TVs and a fridge. In the morning we enjoyed our breakfast, simple , but tasty, additionally we asked the waitress to cook omelette for us , which we got it ready in 5 minutes. Each hotel employee we met , expressed his/her respect and politeness. The location is quite convenient, easy to reach supermarkets or cafes on foot, it is around 10 minutes walk to Ferry ⛴️ Terminal if you plan to continue your voyage to the islands, inside of the waiting area you may find the ferry schedule and the booking office. I had a really pleasant stay at Zan Lodge, and it honestly lived up to what I was hoping for. From the start, things felt easy and well-organized. One thing I really appreciated was the free airport pick-up and drop-off. It made arriving and leaving so much less stressful, especially after a long trip. The room itself was just what I needed—clean, comfortable, and relaxing. It wasn’t overly fancy, but everything was well-kept and thoughtfully arranged, which made it easy to settle in and feel at home. The bed was comfortable, and I was able to rest well each night. Breakfast was another nice part of the experience. The food was good, and I liked that they included local dishes on the menu. It gave me a chance to try something different and added a more authentic touch to my stay. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, which made mornings something to look forward to. What stood out the most, though, was the staff. Everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. They made the atmosphere feel warm and genuine, not forced. Whether I had a question or needed assistance, they were quick to respond and happy to help. Overall, Zan Lodge is a great place to stay if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and kind hospitality. I left feeling happy with my choice and would definitely recommend it to others.

The room size was decent, and it even had a small balcony, as we were placed on the second-highest floor. However, the room's interior still had a guesthouse-like feel, and the sea view was practically nonexistent. The doors closed very loudly, which could lead to noise issues affecting sleep. The breakfast area, on the other hand, offered a much better sea view and had a more modern and appealing decor. Complimentary round-trip airport transfer service: Yes, it's available, but I'd strongly advise paying extra for a private car service for pickup or taking a taxi on your own. This hotel is extremely popular with Chinese tourists; one Coaster bus couldn't even fit everyone. I ended up waiting a full forty minutes before the vehicle departed for the hotel. My mistake for not planning better.

Best location right in front of Hulhumale Beach. The ground floor and rooftop restaurants are also delicious. The room is budget-friendly, but comfortable enough for a good rest. The bed creaks a bit, but it didn't bother me since I was alone. :) The air conditioning is cool and there's a ceiling fan, so it's very pleasant. Having a terrace made smoking very convenient. The bathroom has good water pressure and plenty of hot water! The TV was broken so I didn't try to turn it on. There are two safety deposit boxes. Enjoy trip!

No sea view, except from the top small swimming pool. Service was great, with good English skills. Located in a busy street, but walk distance to most things. Very small rooms for a really high price! Bed was really hard, and not suitable without waking up many times a night with backpains. Also wonder why the housekeeping cart always was outside our room for almost 2 days.. Very annoying! Next time I would consider other options.

Stayed here for a night with my friend before we headed to the resorts. The exterior of the hotel looked nice and modern, and the receptionists helped us with our luggage. Checked in was 2/3pm and we arrived early, had to come back in a while since the room wasnt ready but not a big issue. Located next to the beach, we could easily walk over to the beach and shops. One thing would be how there was no hot water and we had to shower with cold water. And had also encountered a small cockroach... But overall the room was spacious, could easily have our luggage lying openly and still had space to walk around, and had an outdoor balcony (but shared with your neighbor, so will be awkward if you happen to see your neighbor outside when you open your curtains).
