"This is currently one of my favorite hotels in Cangzhou, the rooms are spacious and impeccably clean, and the breakfast is excellent. A charming French bakery on one end of the hotel offers coffee and pastries with an English menu, perfect for foreign guests unfamiliar with local food apps. There isn’t much English-speaking staff, understandable given Cangzhou’s limited foreign tourism, the language barrier posed no issues at all. Would definitely come back to this hotel again !"

"Staying at the Golden Lion Hotel was the biggest surprise of my trip to Cangzhou! While the hotel's facilities might seem a bit dated at first glance, they are incredibly well-maintained. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the bathroom, in particular, felt very high-quality. What truly impressed me most was the service – friendly, fast, timely, and respectful; everything was executed flawlessly. The complimentary shuttle service to major attractions and the high-speed rail station was incredibly convenient and comfortable! The dining experience was nothing short of a feast. The breakfast quality, even when compared to top-tier cities, is absolutely outstanding – a true culinary delight! Over three days, I diligently tried to sample as much as possible: lamb intestines, donkey burgers, fried tiger (likely a local dish name), meat buns, congee, tofu pudding, jianbing guozi, sugar oil cakes, noodles, various hot and cold dishes, and a wide array of fruits. I truly gave it my all! Plus, the hotel provided a 198 RMB dining voucher, which I used at the Cantonese restaurant, and without exception, everything was delicious! Trust me, you need at least three days to fully enjoy all the food here. All in all, the Golden Lion is the most cost-effective hotel I've stayed in for years. Its overall quality clearly surpasses most international five-star hotels, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's worth revisiting Cangzhou just to stay at the Golden Lion again."

"The hotel is located right within the park, so it's quiet and comfortable for sleeping at night. In the morning, after checking out, you can just stroll directly into the large park. The twin beds can be pushed together, which is convenient if you're traveling with kids, so I recommend it for families."

"I was really satisfied with this hotel, from check-in to check-out, every aspect was excellent. Since I checked in late, I wanted to rest a bit longer in the morning. I talked to the front desk, and they kindly offered a complimentary late check-out. Upon arrival, they thoughtfully provided hot milk and fruit. The room was incredibly spacious, clean, and the bedding was comfortable, making me feel right at home. The hotel staff were very warm and friendly. No matter what questions I had, they answered them promptly and patiently. Their professional service made my stay wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone."

"1️⃣ Since I was traveling with two kids, I booked a regular suite so they could play in the room, and to my surprise, we got upgraded to the presidential suite! What a pleasant surprise. 2️⃣ On our first day, after the room was cleaned, we came back from our outing to find that the housekeeping staff had folded all our clothes for us. 3️⃣ Initially, I didn't realize that the transfer service (pickup/drop-off) was an either/or option. We had already arranged for a pickup, and only found out upon check-out that we couldn't choose the drop-off service. However, because I had already inquired with the front desk, the hotel made an exception and arranged a drop-off for us, which I felt really bad about. 4️⃣ The location is excellent. The Can Can Land and Dahua Factory Park are just a 4-5 minute walk from the North Gate, and it's only about a 10-minute taxi ride to Nanchuan Old Street."

"I only intended to stay one night, but I was pleasantly surprised by many unexpected delights. Upon entering the room, I was greeted with welcome fruit and a handwritten welcome card—a small detail that instantly warmed my heart. The mattress and pillows in the room were very supportive and gentle on the neck, allowing me, someone who has trouble sleeping in unfamiliar beds, to sleep soundly until morning. Returning to the room in the evening, I found that the turndown service had prepared slippers and soft lighting—a very thoughtful touch. What touched me most was that when I casually asked the front desk about good local restaurants nearby, they not only had a specially designed map but also made recommendations based on our tastes—and we didn't disappoint! Thanks to the hotel's attentiveness, we felt this was more than just a stay; it was a meticulously cared-for journey. Manager Qianqian at the front desk provided exceptional service, striving to meet all our needs. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I visit Cangzhou next time."

"Facilities: Although the hotel has been open for a while, it doesn't feel old; it's still quite modern. Cleanliness: Overall very clean, and there were no strange odors in the room. Environment: It has its own green spaces and water features, making the environment quite pleasant. Service: The service attitude was excellent. They proactively suggested activities, and were very accommodating to all our requests. Minor drawback: The walkie-talkies used by the floor attendants were very loud and clearly audible from the room, which affected my sleep. I'd suggest they use earpieces."

"The room is good and offers great value for money. Stone Statue of Buddha from Zhangguo Era: Sui Dynasty (581-618 AD) Origin: Remains of Baima Temple, Zhangguo Village, Liqueshan Town, Guangrao County The statuary group consists of one Buddha and two Bodhisattvas. The stele head is rectangular, with an overall height of 264 cm. The main Buddha statue stands 152 cm tall, and the attendant Bodhisattvas on either side are 105 cm tall. Each of the two attendant statues has a niche carved above it, each containing a Buddha and two Bodhisattvas, arranged symmetrically. A small cord tying the ushnisha (cranial bump) is visible between the ushnisha and the hair at the base of the main Buddha statue, with a small bead ornament in the center. This detail is extremely rare in the Central Plains region and provides important information about foreign Buddhist statue forms. The high-relief floral pedestal features a total of seven seated Buddhas with crossed legs, which is also rarely seen in earlier Shandong statues."
