"The place itself was spacious enough. The staff were polite, but the breakfast selection was just average. It's close to the M Shed attraction, and you can easily walk to the canal area. Getting to the bridge takes less than 10 minutes by car, which is very convenient. There's also a 20% discount on parking."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location right in Bristol city center, next to the City Hall and a church. We arrived at 12:30 PM, and since a room was available, they kindly allowed us to check in early. The English breakfast was quite good, especially the roasted button mushrooms, which were delicious. However, I have a major complaint: this Marriott doesn't have air conditioning, and the room windows are sealed shut, meaning they can't be opened at all. To make matters worse, the room was incredibly airtight. Even after borrowing a small fan from the hotel, it was still uncomfortably hot and stuffy, and I didn't get a good night's sleep."

"The hotel is in a great location, with the city centre within easy walking distance, making it very convenient for sightseeing and getting around. However, there is definitely room for improvement in the room amenities. When I asked the front desk, I was informed that only a toothbrush and toothpaste were provided. Basic essentials such as a shower cap, toiletries, and room slippers were not available, which was disappointing and below what I would normally expect from a hotel. Adding these simple amenities would greatly improve the overall guest experience."

"Unbeatable location! Just a 5-minute walk from Temple Meads Station, making it the perfect base for exploring Bristol. For such a central spot, the price is fantastic — offering high-quality, modern comfort without the expensive city-center price tag. Truly excellent value for a prime location. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel was great and the staff were very helpful, but the location is ok as there is not much around the area and you are a bit of a trek from the centre of town & things to do. The lady who checked us in, I believe that she is Scottish, was so helpful and we cannot thank her enough for all that she did for us, she is a credit to the business. The room was comfy and quiet, and the breakfast was great. I would recommend staying here but for us I think we'd rather stay closer to amenities in future, when we revisit Bristol"

"All the room windows were nailed shut, making the room stuffy. The only way to ventilate was with the air conditioning, but unfortunately, the AC in my room was broken. I went to the front desk to report it and asked to change rooms, but the front desk agent (a Caucasian man) said no! He said I could only switch rooms if an engineer confirmed it was broken. I asked when an engineer would come, and he said at night! After much persuasion, he finally agreed to have it checked before 6 PM. In the end, I didn't change rooms because the AC started working a little bit again a few hours later! But the room was still stuffy and smelled bad!"

"Very bad experience, my handbag was stolen! I and my family had a very bad experience during our stay at your hotel from 9 to 11 August. On 11 August morning, we had the buffet breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. I placed my handbag behind the back of my daughter while I went to get food. When I returned to the table, my daughter informed me that a strange man had come and sat next to her; she said the table was occupied and that man then left. I found this situation highly unusual, especially given that many seats and tables were available. At the same time, I discovered that my handbag, which had been behind my daughter, had disappeared! I noticed that my handbag was stolen by a man. My husband informed the hotel reception immediately and asked whether anyone had seen a stranger sit next to our daughter. We then walked around the hotel and searched for the handbag, but it could not be found. The hotel manager reviewed the CCTV footage and identified two suspects who were not hotel guests; however, the manager noted that there was no CCTV coverage at the restaurant entrance or at the back door, so they could not confirm how the suspects entered or whether they were the individuals who sat next to our daughter. I also questioned why, during buffet breakfast, all attendees should be registered and checked by room number before entering the restaurant, and how a stranger was able to enter and sit next to my daughter without being identified! During our holiday trip, we encountered serious security issues at the hotel, which we found unacceptable: a stranger was able to enter the restaurant without any notification, and there was no CCTV coverage at the entrance or the backdoor. As a result of these failures, we lost our handbag along with our wallets, cash, driving license, car keys, and home keys. We now need to replace all of these items urgently, and we are particularly concerned about the safety of our car and home because the driving license and keys were taken. Our daughter and son are understandably very worried and are afraid to remain in the hotel, given the perceived lack of adequate security. Therefore, we have had to cancel the rest of our itinerary and request that the hotel address these lapses immediately to prevent similar incidents."

"There was no hot water and Peter suggested we could go to nearby hotel such as Hilton and ask in person if they have available rooms (at our own cost) at midnight. Alternatively, they offered 50% refund of the room rate, which I haven’t received yet at the time of writing this review. This was not a good experience, to be honest. However, the breakfast is good. The location is very convenient, close to the station and there is a direct coach to and from the airport."

"The hotel was really great. It was very clean, so I highly recommend it for anyone who values cleanliness.There was a separate room for ironing. The room itself had a hairdryer, TV, an electric kettle, and plenty of coffee and tea. They also offered us a welcome drink when we arrived, which was a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby had lots of entertainment options and games. There was also a really nice bar, and people were still playing games there until late at night. The hotel also had a gym. It was close to a shopping centre, and the train station was about a 20-minute walk away. I definitely recommend"
