"I stayed at the Holiday Inn Bristol-Filton with my family for an extended weekend trip, and overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing experience. The hotel is located just outside Bristol city centre, so it’s perfect if you’re driving or want somewhere quiet after a busy day. It’s close to the M32 and A4174, which makes access pretty easy, though it’s not ideal if you’re relying on buses or taxis every day. The check-in process was smooth and the staff were genuinely friendly with warm smiles, quick service, and happy to help with local directions. The lobby and common areas look recently refurbished, clean, and welcoming. You can tell that the hotel is well-maintained. The room was spacious, tidy, and had everything I needed: a comfortable bed, crisp sheets, and good soundproofing for a peaceful night’s sleep. The bathroom was spotless with decent toiletries provided. The only slight downside was that the air-conditioning took a while to cool the room, but once it kicked in, it worked fine. Wi-Fi was stable and fast enough for streaming and work calls. The breakfast buffet was excellent. There were plenty of hot and cold options, including fresh pastries, eggs, sausages, cereals, and fruits. Staff were attentive in topping things up and clearing tables quickly. I also tried dinner at the on-site restaurant one evening; the food was good, though a bit pricey for the portion sizes. There’s also a bar area that stays open late, which is nice for a quiet drink in the evening. The leisure facilities are a bonus with a decent-sized indoor pool, a gym, and a sauna, all clean and well-kept. Families seemed to enjoy the space, and it never felt overcrowded. There’s also plenty of outdoor green space around the hotel, which gives it a more relaxed, countryside feel even though you’re still close to the city. Parking is available on site, though it’s not free but it’s highly subsidised something to be aware of before arriving. The signs could be clearer about payment, but once you know, it’s straightforward. In summary, Holiday Inn Bristol-Filton is a solid, comfortable, and family-friendly hotel that offers good value for money if you don’t mind staying a bit outside the city centre. Ideal for business travellers, road-trippers, or families who want peace and quiet with easy access to Bristol. Would definitely stay again when I’m in the area."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location right in Bristol city center, next to the City Hall and a church. We arrived at 12:30 PM, and since a room was available, they kindly allowed us to check in early. The English breakfast was quite good, especially the roasted button mushrooms, which were delicious. However, I have a major complaint: this Marriott doesn't have air conditioning, and the room windows are sealed shut, meaning they can't be opened at all. To make matters worse, the room was incredibly airtight. Even after borrowing a small fan from the hotel, it was still uncomfortably hot and stuffy, and I didn't get a good night's sleep."

"We stayed for two nights recently. Everything about the hotel was right but we particularly liked the room. It was spacious, comfortable and clean. The decor was modern but not too minimalist. All fittings were in good condition and the heating and air-conditioning worked. We did not eat at the hotel as there are nice cafes etc very close by and a proper pub just up to road. The hotel is not in the very centre of Bristol but it's close to everything. Ideal for us. A subsidised car park is only a five minute walk away. All staff were friendly and helpful too. We will stay again."

"This hotel was fantastic. It is very central but on a busy road island and so can be easy to miss the turning. Discounted NCP was next door though for super convenient parking. Service, facilities and cleanliness were all great. I had an executive room so access to the lounge and food/drinks was perfect having arrived later in the day on a Sunday. Breakfast was fantastic and I would definitely stay again. Great value too having shopped around."

Your airy, spacious room will give you, your family & friends space to stretch out and feel at home. Our modern Gourmet Bar & Restaurant will offer you classic dishes with a twist, whilst our sauna and steam room will help you unwind.

"All fine except for a few things: there was only one breakfast tea bag left each day so had to ask for more. The fridge didn’t work. When we went to the sauna at 5pm (the time they state it’s open from) and it had not been switched on so had to call reception and by the time the sauna was beginning to get warm we had to leave as we had a booking (about 45 minutes later). It was shut when we returned and in the morning before we checked out so we didn’t get to use it. Rather annoying as we chose this hotel over others BECAUSE of them having a ‘spa’."

"Positives: Really cozy guesthouse in a perfect central location in St Nicolas Market. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby, and easy access by walking or public transit to all locations. Beds were very comfy, it was hard to get out of them in the morning 😆. Room was clean, and coffee, tea and biscuits provided as well as toiletry essentials. It also had some hostel vibes with boardgames and books to pick up and read. Negatives: Wifi in our room was terrible, so I needed to do work in the dining area (but there are lots of tables and it's quiet). It was fairly quiet, but you can sometimes hear neighbours through the walls or rowdy students at the pubs if you leave the window open. Would also appreciate vegan options for breakfast 👀 if possible. Overall very good value and would come stay again!"

"We stayed for one night but we thought the hotel and all the staff was lovely. We had no issues, great location, clean, really spacious room and all the normal things were all working. (lifts, AC etc). The hotel is really in a great place, very close to the shopping centre, food places etc small businesses aswell! Loads of bus stops near by. The bus stop to the station was only a few minutes walk which we thought was good. Had plently of room in the room for our bags and coats. Very quiet, no issue with the busy street at night. We had a lovely time, would definitely recommend and return at some point. Definitely worth the money."
