"Absolutely fantastic rooms with great views and an attentive service staff. Place wasn't without issues, though. It is very much a tourist trap hotel, and the entire region just gives off vibes of a giant tourist trap. I felt shuffled around within the hotel itself. My room was a bit close to the lobby/bar area, and the noise was insufferable. Had serious issues getting to sleep before midnight. And the great bathtub that looked out over the lake and had the monkeys that would come up to the window? The way the shower head and faucet were located, it was impossible to shower or fill up the tub without getting the entire room soaked in water. I was looking forward to hours soaking in the tub and reading, but there wasn't any dry surface to keep a book or cell phone on. Also annoyed me that dinner wasn't served until 7. Nothing about the place made it easy for early to bed, early to rise people. Enjoyed the breakfast they served. Loved the views from basically any window in the hotel. The little bar was great, with some decent drinks and just the friendliest of staff. If I were ever to come back to the region, I'd stay here again for sure, I'd just ask for a room further from public spaces."

"We stayed at the Eden Grand Hotel for two days and absolutely loved it. Although it can be a little tricky to find, the hotel is beautifully located at the edge of the forest, where monkeys leap from tree to tree. The rooms are cozy and well-designed, with a spacious, comfortable bed, modern bathroom and an AC. The service was exceptional. Breakfast is freshly prepared just for you, and the food was fantastic. The hotel also offers its own tuktuk driver, making it easy to visit nearby attractions like Sigiriya Rock. All in all, the Eden Grand Hotel is a charming and peaceful retreat and the Service will try its best to make your stay memorable."

I rebooked to continue my solo quest for soulful rejuvenation, tranquility, and serenity—the kind of restorative pause that leaves you resettled for the life you love, yet must return to: a job and day-to-day that asks a great deal. From the moment I arrived, I was beautifully cared for. The à la carte dining—with both Western and Sri Lankan options—did more than simply nourish my body. "You can see Sigiriya Rock from the pool, which is lovely. The rooms are spacious and clean, but there's no fridge or toothbrushes provided. It's a really convenient location with lots of restaurants nearby, and it's close to Sigiriya Rock too. The restaurant also has a bar. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very friendly."

"The hotel is nice, spacious beautiful room at check in we were treated to a refreshing juice. There is a big pool on the grounds and a big jacuzzi with hot water in the room.  Minuses of the hotel: Far from the attractions. Taxi from the center only go there for the price of pick me x2. Hotel taxi are 3 times more expensive. There are no stores and restaurants near the hotel, so inside the hotel prices for food x3, Also after 6pm it is dangerous to be outside because elephants are walking around. Now let's talk about the premium status and the five races. In 7 years of traveling, this is the first hotel that did not have a bathrobe, slippers and toothbrush and toothpaste in the room. The plumbing in the shower leaks, and the doors creak so much that you could call the spirits at night. Regarding the attention to the customer. I mentioned my upcoming birthday in conversation with the manager, but this fact was not used in any way to show any form of attention from the hotel. This is a huge miscalculation on the part of the staff at a premium hotel. We also had a late departure and our request to delay in the hotel for a couple of hours was refused. This was not due to the arrival of new customers, as the manager offered to extend our stay for a fee. For future customers this fact may be decisive in their choice. In general, the hotel is not bad, but the service and flexibility of the staff, as well as individual approach to customers, does not correspond to the premium level and requires improvement."

"The environment is great, a large mango garden, the hotel only occupies a small area in the middle, walk in the early morning and evening in the middle of the green grass, monkeys running around the hotel, or relax on a deck chair in the room with a balcony at night Drinking a clear spring. The dinner buffet is very rich, and the meals at noon are also very good. The swimming pool is downstairs, enjoying the food while overlooking the greenery, mango trees, coconut trees and the swimming pool, it is really enjoyable. "Xanadu, quiet and comfortable. The service is thoughtful, the food is delicious and outrageous, the butler service is provided, and our butler is praised. When we see that the child does not get up for breakfast, we will take the initiative to prepare take-out. We will pick us up to Lion Rock at less than five o'clock in the morning. You need them to be there at any time. Like 👍"

"We chose this hotel based on the location! We arrived, looked and booked 3 rooms. Moreover, it was cheaper to book through the website than at the hotel. When they showed us the rooms, a very sharp, specific smell hit our noses, I asked what it was, they told me that these were their air fresheners and they could be washed off. I said that I could not live with such a smell and needed to be removed, they said ok and we went to check in. Then I threw my things and went swimming and eating. In the evening, I returned to the room, the smell was there and then it dawned on me that it was a cockroach repellent!!!!!! The victims were already lying all over the room, and very large ones. At the reception, they silently moved me, without even apologizing. This moment, of course, spoiled the impression. After all, I immediately said that the smell was very sharp. The bathroom is very interestingly made, it is as if outside, in the shower there is a net and an outside nook. Leaving the cool room there is a strong contrast, but this does not spoil the rest. I liked the design of the disposable sets, they looked very stylish. In the evenings, musicians played in the restaurant (the first day there were mantras to the music, on the second day a guy sang very chicly. In the restaurant you can eat from the menu or dinner/lunch buffet. We tried both options, everything is very good. Very attentive staff in the cafe, the administrator saw us and ran to prepare a table for us. They also served by the pool. The territory is not large, but it is conducive to relaxation. Monkeys even came running. Friends went to the spa, they said the massage was good. From the hotel we went to Sigiriya (20 minutes by car) and on a safari in the park."

"The lake next to the property is beautiful and the owner is really accommodating - he escorted me to the lookout as it is dangerous to go out by yourself in the evening and early morning because of the elephants that may wander through the area. Both him and his wife were very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Sigiriya. The room has a tea and coffee station, a mini fridge, and air conditioning. You are in nature, so if you don’t mind a couple of little frog friends in the bathroom, and you are a bird enthusiast, then this is the place for you."
